Vice: Illario-Pavanno Connectiom Started by: Joey_Pavanno on Feb 15, '19 10:07
Victor Bankhurst and Ryan Jaeger were a couple of new detectives assigned to the Vice Desk of Seattle, they were guys who made their way through a lot of hard work and determination, they knew that half of the Vice squad was on the take, possibly to men like Sal Luciano, MichaelScott, and MasterBates, only they were not after the big fish, they were after the one that had suddenly appeared in Seattle after working with the Ligambi Crime Family of Corktown, Detroit.

They were after Joey 'J.P' Pavanno, he was stated to be a legitimate businessman, even being regarded as a man of vision and not that prone to violence. He was the half-brother to Charlie Pavanno and a former 'associate' of the Hendon Outfit back in England, he was a dangerous individual, the detectives had discussed with Interpol and knew certain things about the newest kid on the streets, there was another thing that worried them.

A new associate, a kid by the name of Devlin O'Leary, now this kid didn't seem like much and they wanted to approach him, grill him on certain things, knowing that he could be a weak spot in the operation of Joseph Pavanno, yet he wasn't, because he was protected and not because he was an informant or anything, the feds that handled the case regarding the Pavanno Gang were not willing to let their cash cow go and were instead covering for the bastard, Victor and Ryan did not believe they would not get another break, only something else had landed on their desk, something that would give them the connection with the Pavanno.

Ruiz of the Illario Cartel was a high-profile target that their superior believed they could handle, considering that the case had been on the shelf for a while and was now picking up with the recent news that Ruiz was meeting with certain people, possibly getting back into the drug game, this was something they could not miss and would have to pick up, little did they know that this would give them a shot at the man they were after for the better part of their young careers.

"We got a sighting on Ruiz, last seen in Los Angeles, stopped by a small diner in Los Robles after a fight with a couple of greasers from the Hollywood Territory, no idea what they were doing downtown though. We got another sighting of O'Leary, anything we should do on him Banks?"

Smoking currently was Victor Bankhurst, or better known as Banks by his fellow detectives.

He was the lead detective on this case as his partner was shoring up their defenses, they knew that once they made the connection with Pavanno, they would have an in to take down members of the Seattle Mob, it would be quick and clean, something that needed to be happening right now. This was their chance and they had to do it under the radar, otherwise, they would be canned before they could get a collar.

"Leave him, for now, Wheeler, put anything we got on him on my desk, I don't want this getting into their hands, otherwise it will never see the light of day again."

The uniformed officer Wheeler nodded before placing the files on O'Leary on his desk, it was here that Bankhurst knew he could use the officer for his own gains or better yet, the future of the SPD, things were not going so well and they would need something, anything that allowed them to put one of the lieutenants with Ruiz away, they could get a connection into the Pavanno case through that, it was a win-win, they just needed to know what O'Leary was doing in Los Angeles.

"Wheeler! I want you to bring in the Hollywood Greasers, every one of them, bring them in for questioning, I wanna know why they stopped by the diner in Los Robles and ring up the LAPD if necessary, understood!?"

The uniformed officer nodded, going on his way, making his calls and knowing that he would have to make a call with the LAPD, otherwise they would never get their suspects, plus they would need an official statement from their chief regarding this breach of jurisdiction.

~ A Week Later ~

Sitting across from Victor Bankhurst was Quinn Daemon, a leader of the Hollywood Greasers that looked like a bunch of pansy boys who wouldn't know how to hurt a cat, let alone fight against a cartel, yet here he was, a man that had a rap sheet bigger than these mob goombas. He was someone that Victor could not place a finger on, he was someone that a lot of people could not place a finger on, he was a man of many backgrounds and even looked like he belonged in the mob by the way he dressed.

He wore a three-piece suit, all black, with a white dress shirt, which had the top button undone and a tie which was loosely done around his neck, giving him the odd rugged look that was no doubt attractive to the opposite gender. He was smiling at Victor, wondering what he could have to offer the Vice Squad of Seattle, so much so that he was dragged out of his own home by the LAPD, clearly, this was a high profile case that allowed different states to work with one another.

"This is Detective Bankhurst, please note that we are conducting the questioning process of Quinn Daemon, rumored leader of a street gang known as the Greasers regarding Ruiz of the Illario Cartel."

It was here that Quinn widened his eyes, knowing that this was not a usual interrogation, if they were asking about the Ruiz guy, then this shit was serious enough that it meant Ruiz was getting back in the game and shit was not going to smooth, Quinn made sure to smile thinly, knowing that the detective had picked up on his widening, giving away his nerves on the situation.

"Mr. Daemon, I need you to inform on the events of the 14th of February, last Thursday, in detail if you please."

Quinn nodded before going into what he knew that the detective wanted, otherwise, it would spell bad news for his own crew and he was not going to put that at risk.

Ryan Jaeger was currently sipping his coffee as he looked inside the interrogation through the one-way window, he knew that his partner had spotted it and was wanting the young guy to relax, not wanting him to be nervous in such an investigation, this guy was a small fish compared to the sharks they were each trying to catch with a net that promised them a lifetime inside, if they could get caught, something that Det. Jaeger was doubting with each passing day.

He knew the type of pull that the mob had, he knew what they could do to their famillies, it was why he moved his family away from the states, making sure they were not going to be capable of using the one weakness he had, family was everything to these monsters that dared to call themselves honorable.

It was up to the true men like them that brought guys like Jackwaltz, Giacomo_D_Amico, and last but not least, Joey_Pavanno down, these men, well they didn't work with one another or even seemed to have the right connections, yet they were all apart of the same crew and if they started to work together, it would open a whole different can of shitstorm that this department was not ready to handle.

"Let us hope it stays that way, I don't need the new Goodfellas on my radar just yet."

Ryan sipped his coffee before his eyes zoned back in on the interrogation, knowing that it would not take long for this guy to crack, he wasn't like the true monsters out there.

He had just finished informing the detective of the events, no more than necessary, he knew that this would bring the connection with Joey Pavanno's organization, he did mention that Devlin O'Leary had been at the diner in Los Robles, that would lead to Devlin who would then be questioned by the feds possibly. All he knew was that his crew was safe from any other involvement, they could go about their business, he did notice that the detective seemed to be watching him for a moment before a light smile twitched at his lips.

"Thank you Daemon, you've been a great help, you may collect your things at the desk and be on your way. We will contact you if anything else pops up."

The Leader of the greasers stood up with such quickness that the chair had scratched at the stone floor, causing Victor to squint his eyes, trying to drown out the sound as his little helper walked out of the interrogation room, he knew that business was over now.

Not even a second had passed before his partner, Ryan walked in, his eyes bulging, trying to finish his coffee and looking at Victor questioningly before he was motioned to sit down opposite him as Victor slid the document of events over to Ryan, who had started reading with a mischievous smirk twitching at his lips.

"So, who do we approach first?"

If one looked down at the document, they would have seen two names: Devlin O'Leary and Hector Guitterez, these men were going to be their keys into breaking down the infamous Seattle Mob and Illario Cartel.

"We got a hit on one of these fucks, it seems that Devlin O'Leary visits a bakery in Pioneer Square, we get him there and we can question him, only he does not seem the type to turn rat. He's not going to be doing that, he would be dead before he could even get on the stand"

Victor Bankhurst had spoken out to his task force of uniformed officers and detectives, each of them was honest and ready to make a break in this case. Only it seemed a bit more hesitant, even though they were targeting the Cartel, Devlin was meeting with Ruiz, giving a nice little connection between the Illario Cartel and Pavanno Crew. It created a nice case for them that might see one of them make captain if only the fuckers working the Pavanno Case gave them any information.

"True, Hector is the most likely to turn rat, he has a family and would be able to be broken, he knows what the Cartel does, he knows what they can do. He has first-hand accounts, he's probably been witness to a dozen drug deals and deals made with federal officers, he is the one we need to crack in order to get to Pavanno and Ruiz, we work up their organization and see what we can build, agreed?"

Everyone looked at one another, each trying to see if they were okay with using such a tactic. They were all okay, it was for the betterment of the people, they were not doing this for some sick perverse pleasure, it was their jobs, sometimes it got dirty and sometimes, it was downright wrong, either way, they did what they had to do.

"The key objective here is to find me a location on Hector Guitterez and see where he has recently visited, we bring him in for questioning. All of you, let's get on this!"

Ryan Jaeger and Victor Bankhurst were ready to start their war on Organized Crime, they would make sure to break the Cartel Associate, hoping that he could bring in some valuable information to their case, it was needed and would be needed greatly.
