"TREEEEEVOOOOOOOOR!"  The tiny red head carried on like this until she heard a door open.  Perking up, she looked over, but only received a fairly disgusted look from another of those staying here.  She gave a very apologetic look before looking around utterly lost...  What if he wasn't here anymore?  What if he was upset with her?  That gnawing feeling that she couldn't understand ate at her like a plague.  She sighed softly as she rethought her strategy, only to see another door open out the corner of her eye.  Her heart leaped at the sight of who was framed in that doorway, and she would act purely on instinct and practically run at him.  She threw her arms around his middle, hardly breaking stride as she buried her face against his chest.  Breathing in his wonderful comforting smell, she felt her whole form relax against him.  Whatever had been eating at her melted away when she was in his presence.  But she finally drew back, looking at him with all seriousness in her eyes even as he spoke.

The stammering near broke her heart.  She knew he only did that when he was unsure, or upset about something...  The two of them had been getting past it, and he hardly ever stammered when he spoke to her.  This uncertainty was almost too much for her and no matter how oblivious she was to many things, when it came to him she became almost painfully in tune.  Shaking her head she tried hard to focus.  There were many things she didn't understand...  Many things that she did or said almost flippantly that she didn't think of the repercussions of.  This time it was a weird situation of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, even if she didn't regret saying nice things about Viktor...  But she had felt something off when she saw her heart at the back of the crowd.  How did he even hear of the...  Whatever that was?  She hadn't heard of it until she was in as one of the 'contestants'.  The whole thing had happened so suddenly.  Sure she adored Viktor to pieces and sure she would talk to him any day of the week, give him hugs, whatever...  She would even say that she held love for the man.  But it wasn't the same love she felt for this young man here.  Even then she found it difficult to explain.  But still, it had looked bad and even Nessa had an inkling of that.  Even so perhaps she was barking up the wrong tree?  Maybe he wasn't even upset, but how would that explain the horrid feeling she felt so deep within her it hurt?

"Lucky guess?"  She stated softly.  "My heart always knows how to find it's other half."  She murmured softly.  As his words turned to the contest, and he choked upon them as if they were something vile, her eyes widened.  Was her hunch right?  She dropped her gaze, feeling her cheeks heat up.  "I ah...  I don't know."  She answered honestly.  "As soon as I...  When I understood what...  Oh Trevor I couldn't stay."  She felt tears start in her eyes again as she felt panic well up within her again.  "Trevor are you angry?"  She whispered softly.  Oh goodness please don't let him be angry...  Or worse, hurt.  They had spoken and expressed how they felt about each other.  Sure they had merely just lived in a state of unspoken agreement between them, nothing fully nailed down, and yet each of them had been pretty assured at how the other felt.  Nessa would never willingly leave Trevor for another man, but was Trevor sure enough to know that?  To believe that?  To trust that?  And in the same breath...  Was the fluff-filled mind of Nessa capable of focusing upon wanting one man and only one man?  Nessa knew she never had a very tight focus when it came to anything but Trevor...  But did he?  Nessa trembled softly and shook her head, clearly confused and worked up about something that even she couldn't put her finger on.  "Sorry Trevor.  I know you have business.  I-I just needed to find you after..."  She shook her head a bit not even certain how to put anything into words right now.  "I-I'll leave you be until you're finished. I just."  She shook her head looking more the lost puppy than she had even a few minutes ago as she stepped back from him.

As Trevor listened to what the young lady in front of him was saying his mind reeled in confusion. None of what was going on made sense to him. He didn't understand how a girl like Nessa could feel love for him. Then he didn't understand how he could have miss read her so badly. Then there's now, it didn't click in his brain what she was doing here now, sounding desperate for him to forgive her, worried about him being angry. Why would he be angry at her for his own stupidity in misunderstanding the things she's said to him.

He was lost in his own thoughts and confusion until he realized they were still standing in the hallway to the hotel. He placed his hand lightly to her back as he spoke, "Come on in Ness, these people don't want to know our private affairs."

He lead her to the couch he had just been sleeping on. He chose to remain standing, and sort of stared at the floor. "Why would you think I'm mad? You haven't done a thing, I'm just a fool who totally misunderstood... You know... This."

He made a motion between the two of them.  Before his hand went to the tattoo of her name that was on his right bicept for strength, a quirk he want even consciously aware he did anymore.

"Why wouldn't you have stayed? I mean he's confident, handsome enough, and leader of his own city... Compared to me who is awkward, insecure... A disappointed to everyone because I'm not my brother, even my own  father is disappointed in me for not being Alucard."

Trevor choked a little admitting the last lines out loud were difficult for him, they stung deeply on a level he wasn't even aware he felt. He turned his head as he sniffed and wiped his nose. Turning back,  his eyes looked toward Nessa's. He studied her, her facial features and expressions. A soft smile broke across his face as he thought about how pretty he thought she was, how sweet she always was too him.  A tinge of sadness hinted in his eyes when he dually thought about how he totally misread those looks, words, and actions. Without saying any further words a slight blush started to grow across his cheeks.

Nessa's heart beat fast.  What if he was angry?  What if he didn't even want to see her again after seeing what she had been up to?  What if she won that crazy contest?  What if she was actually agreeing to marry Mr. Viktor?  Oh that idea shot confusion through her like no one's business.  But she would think of that later.  She gulped softly as that realization hit her.  She had left.  So hopefully that spoke her intentions in that regard.  She felt absolutely lost.  She wanted to leave him to his business, but at the same time, she just wanted to hug him tight and tell him everything she felt and her fears and confusions about the situation.  But on the other hand she couldn't do that to him, he was likely just as lost, or even more so, than she.

Feeling his hand against her back, she felt as if the whirlwind settled.  Or at least made it so that it was down to a dull roar so she could think.  She leaned in against him almost hopefully.  She didn't know exactly what he was thinking and this upset her.  But she wouldn't so much as hesitate to follow him inside his room, allowing the door to close behind them.  For a moment, she remained beside the door, merely watching his every movement.  Finally following him further in, she too opted to stand even though the couch looked mighty comfortable there between them.  She watched as he stared at the floor and her heart ached at the sight of it.  She couldn't stand it but she made herself remain still so that she could understand what was ailing him as well as she possibly could.  She bit her lip softly and shook her head in silence as he spoke of misunderstanding.  He was wrong, so wrong.  Unless his thoughts were somewhere other than where her own were.  That thought was like the sharpest of arrows right through her heart.

But she forced herself to remain where she was to hear him out.  Listening and truly communicating was the best way after all.  But by the time he spoke of disappointment, her heart could no longer take it.  She made quick work of moving around the couch and before he could so much as object, she wrapped those tiny arms around his middle and buried her face against his chest.  Her whole form trembled and quaked as unbidden tears threatened to cascade.  "You're the man that I love."  Her voice was just there over a whisper, just audible against him as she spoke the words as if they were the most obvious in the world.  "You are more important to me than the air I breath, the water I drink...  You are as necessary to my living as oxygen.  The word disappointment could not come anywhere near to your name as far as I'm concerned."  She turned her gaze up to meet his.  "Viktor is fine, a good man, a strong man...  Running his own city, all that you said.  But he's not the one that I love."

Her gaze locked upon his, searching it for some hope as in this small dance of chess it was now his move.

He gave a sharp exhale as he felt her arms wrap around, and her tiny frame press up against him. Trevor closed his eyes as he wrapped his arms around her, his fingers mindlessly played with the tips of her hair.  He held her close to him as his mind thought long and hard on what she had told him.

What is this feeling? We're friends, this must be how friends are with one another. If she wants to marry Victor or some other guy, she has every right to. I have no right to make her feel sorry or upset about it...

"Nessa, my heart. I am so sorry if I've made you feel upset.  I have no right to do so.  We're friends, and while I don't really know how friends act, or behave, or what they should or shouldn't say to one another. I do know that as friends, I don't have the right to do something to make you feel upset.  And I promise you, you don't need to say things to make me feel be..."

It was right as he was about to finish, the full extent of what she'd said knocked his brain, and he immediately stopped his current train of thought.  He knew as close as he was holding her that she would undoubtedly feel the change in the rhythm that his heart was beating. The excitement and happiness in that he wasn't misunderstanding things, mixing with the string of confusion that wove it's way around his thoughts as well.

"Ness, please know I am not mad, hurt, or upset in anyway..."  He made just enough space between them that he could look into her eyes, as he cradled her cheek in his hand.   He even smiled at her as he spoke, "Why... how... did you wind up in a contest to marry Victor?"

Being here in the arms of the young man before her gave a feeling of security much more strong than most any situation she'd been in so far.  He may not be the strongest one out there, but she knew in her heart that he was perfect for her.  Being at his side, she knew that they could accomplish anything that they set out to do.  Leaning into his embrace, she sighed gently as she felt the soft tugs at her hair while he toyed with the ends of her long ponytail.  Her eyes slid closed as she recalled another memory that made her feel safe.  Her mother used to brush her hair and play in it as she styled it every chance she got.  Nessa had known very well that Kat was a very busy woman and yet she always managed to take the time to make Nessa feel loved and cherished even if they were not blood.  To Kat, it hadn't mattered a bit.  She sighed gently as she stood there for many moments, just taking in the feeling it gave her.  There wasn't a better feeling in this world, she was fairly certain.

Breaking out of her reverie, she heard her name on his tongue once more.  Blinking a couple times, she drew away just enough to turn those gentle green eyes up to meet his cool blues. She would quietly listen to him and hear him out completely before speaking.  Although no matter how she tried to keep herself under control, her eyes widened a touch and she shook her head gently.  But then she smiled chuckling softly for a moment, though it was just about as far from an unkind sound as a person could make.  But still quietly she would listen.   Turning her gaze back up to his, her own so full of love and adoration.  She bit her lip softly and nodded feeling her shoulders relax just a little.  The idea of upsetting the man who completed her so simply shook her to her very core.  She nodded slowly as the assurance took root in her panicked brain.  The brain that caused her to run to the top floor of a hotel and yell like a wild woman looking for the man she now stood with.

She leaned softly into his hand and bit her lip softly at his question.  But out of no where she began to giggle almost maniacally.  She snorted softly before seeking to gain control of herself.  "Ok.  So...  For a little while now, I've been inviting Viktor over.  Just to be nice and to hang out.  To talk, and such.  He's fun to talk to and sometimes we talk late into the evening.  But we've become friends.  Well I was told that there was to be a gathering in his honor and I wanted to come say nice things about him too!  Honestly I had no idea what exactly they were doing or why the other girls looked a little nervous.  You see, it was Princess, Stephanie, and Sabrina.  Awesome ladies and so much fun.  So of course I was fully game in jumping in.  I have plenty of nice things to say about him.  Why wouldn't I? He's my friend."

She took a deep breath before continuing.  "So then before I know it, we're all headed over to this other place in the square and Viktor is saying nice things about us!  And then people are voting on which one of us would be his bride!  I didn't understand because Princess was already married to him.  I don't love him, I mean, not like that... So how could I marry him?  Isn't that what people who get married should do?  Love each other?"  She tilted her head a little.  Ok so maybe she had been reading too many fairy tales, but still!  "But yes...  As soon as I realized what was happening...  And finished watching the most beautiful butterfly I've ever seen, I left.  I told him that he was already married to Princess.  And I left...  To find you."  She took a deep breath as that had all came rushing out far faster than she had intended.  "S-silly wasn't it..."  She bit her lip a little harder as that sounded even sillier as she said it out loud.  But at the time it hadn't.  But she leaned into Trevor's hand a little more firmly.

Trevor let out soft and understanding sigh, and the smile he gave her never left his lips.  He chuckled a bit hearing Nessa pour everything she felt she needed to say out, he couldn't help it. The whole situation she was in just screamed Nessa to him.  A beautiful innocence that he saw reflected in himself, and he figured that's what made him chuckle... because he could see himself getting into something he didn't mean to by sheer innocent misunderstanding of what was going on.  While still cradling her cheek, he leaned down and softly kissed her allowing his lips to linger over hers for a moment.

"Love is the best reason to marry someone." He said, his words soft but honest. "It's why I hope I'll get to marry you one day.  I love you Nessa, and I don't want a day in my life that you aren't somehow part of that day."

He smiled down at her, just having her close to him gave him strength and helped the stresses of the day just seem to melt away.  He wrapped his arms back around her and pulled her in close to him.  He stood with her, simply enjoying the warmth of her body against his, and the warmth that her being near brought to his very soul.

"So my heart, what shall we do?  The day and this room is ours.  Shall we go out? Take a nap?  Or put some music on the record player and you can show me how to dance? Whatever your heart desires, I'm yours."

It was a warm evening when Marian entered the Chaise hotel in Detroit. The place looked beautiful, enchanting chandeliers and magnificent paintings decorated the lobby. She walked towards the reception desk and smiled at the manager.

"Hi can I get a room for the night?" she asked him.

"Sure thing Miss. Are you staying alone and do you have a preferred room?" he said as he opened the register.

"Can I get a room on the third floor?" Marian knew that the South side Misfits were staying on the third floor of this hotel. This information came from a reliable source and they had given her the room number as well. The manager looked through the register as she waited and soon he found an empty room for her on the third floor.

"Room 305 Miss. Will that be fine?"

"That's perfect," she replied and signed the register before heading towards the elevator. On her person she had a small handbag and nothing else. The elevator came to a halt on the third floor and she stepped out. Looking around the hallway, she found it to be empty. She walked to her room and went inside. Picking up the phone she dialed for room service and then waited.

A few minutes later she heard a knock on the door. She opened it to find a waiter bring the items she ordered. "Please set them over there," she pointed at the table. As the waiter setup the food, she came up behind him and knocked him over the head with a small vase. She dragged the unconscious waiter to the large bed and pulled his uniform off of him. Leaving him semi naked on the bed, she began to change into his uniform. She looked in the mirror and straightened her hair before getting to work. From her bag she took out the small vial and placed it near the food. She had ordered three set of steaks and over each one of them she put a few drops of liquid from the vial. She transferred the food from the table back to the tray and rolled it out of her room into the hallway.

"Room service," Marian announced as she knocked on Room 303, the one occupied by the South side Misfits gang bosses.

The door opened and a short chubby man stared at her. "We didn't order no room service."

Marian lifted the lid to show the steak and she said, "Compliments of the hotel sir. We wanted to make your stay comfortable. Shall I come in?"

The man eyed the steak and then looked at her. "I can't say no to good food. Come in," he moved aside to let her in.

Marian pushed the tray inside and noticed two more men sitting on the bed. Her intel was spot on, these were the top three bosses in the Misfits organization. As soon as she placed the meal on the table the men came over to have a bite of it. She poured three glasses of wine for them and placed it on the table. She pushed the trolley to the door and closed the door behind her and waited. A cough followed by sputtering noises could be heard from inside. It was followed by the door swinging open and out crawled the fat man she met at the door.

"Help me, I can't breath," he clawed at her and stood up shaking her. Marian pulled out the small knife she had on her and stabbed him in his guts and he fell down to the carpeted floor. She pulled the man back into the room and looked at her handiwork. One man lay dead at the table while the other one was on the floor. The poison was deadly and they were done for the moment they took their first bite.

"Dammit," she exclaimed when she saw the blood on the carpet. She knew she couldn't get this cleaned up on her own. There was someone she needed to contact to help her with this mess. Leaving a 'Do not Disturb' sign on the door, she walked back to her room to change into her clothes.

Cadence needed a rest and needed it badly but it was war time everywhere was dangerous and nowhere was safe.As she cut through an ally her eyes wore heavy, then she noticed the sign THE CHAISE HOTEL she advanced towards the main entrance tired and wary. She peaked her head into the reception it was quiet enough to convince her it was a safe haven she sighed in relief as she made eye contact with the gentleman in reception.

"Hello there sir i was just wondering if i could stay the night please" she shuffled nervously and looked at her feet for a second after the stranger shot her an odd look "I-I have money sir" she explained as she places notes on the desk "I just don't have anywhere else to go you see".She felt a little ashamed as those words left her mouth  but it was the truth, these streets at present were dangerous and she really did have nowhere else to go.

She waited patiently for the man at reception to respond.

Step by step Freakshow gets closer to the hotel. As she is standing outside she can feel that this was as far as she would have gotten tonight. A few steps more and she would have chosen any park bench or deserted ally for tonights sleep. She steps inside and walks straight up to the clerk at the counter. She negotiates a rate and grabs the key from him. Waving off the concierge she rapidly sets off in the direction of her room. Outside the door she lets off a sigh of relief and steps inside.

Without hesitation Freakshow throws herself into the shower. She couldn't remember the last time she had the opportunity to wash off so this felt heavenly. The warm water really wash off todays sins and worries. She grab a towel and sat down on the bed. Before she could get any beauty sleep she really had to plan tomorrows routine. She picked out an outfit suiting for the routine she had in mind and started to go through all of the poses and movements. I took longer then expected as she dozed off both here and there.

As she felt enough prepared she slid down under the blankets. The bed felt comfortably cold. She knew it wouldn't take long to drift off into sleep but she still did an effort to remember todays events. She had made it a routine to go through the days events and details in order to known that business was finished. She really wasn't one for loose ends and had some detail slipped her mind it had to be corrected. After all reputation was everything in this line of business. When she was done she drifted off into a dreamless slumber.

Dick hadn’t intended to be back in Detroit so soon but, there was more work to be done. The connections he had made thus far seemed more fruitful than he could have imagined. Unfortunately, that left his busier than he would have imagined as well. He was able to sneak a little rest on the train ride over, probably the most sleep he had in a few days actually.

He reasoned with himself as he moved towards the hotel that nothing was going to get accomplished when he was running on fumes. It would have to wait until morning, at the earliest. Dick wasn’t really in a hurry here, though. The papers had picked up his little rendezvous at the river walk but that there were no suspects at this time. If he seemed rushed or like he was trying to get out of town as fast as possible, it would only draw suspicion. As long as he kept his head down and his mouth shut, there was no connection to him.

Refocusing as he walked through the door, he moved to the front desk with a smile. No need to be rude after all. He slid a few bills towards the worker after booking his room and accepting the key. He gave a polite wave for he moved off to his room, slipping the elevator to take the stairs.

Report Post Tip

Dick slept for longer than he had intended too and that was perfectly fine by him. His body certainly could use the refresher. Luckily enough for himself, so far he had been able to compartmentalize everything. Keep the worst of the worst locked up tight in a box that was to never be opened. It seemed to be working, for the most part.

Swinging his legs out of the bed, he let out a long yawn as he rubbed at his eyes tiredly. Looking down at his watch beside him on the bed side table, he scoffed as he flipped it over, not looking at its face as he did. There was enough time and he wasn’t in a rush at all. Quite the contrary, actually. This wasn’t as time sensitive as some of his other ventures here.

Dick moved a little stiffly as he pulled the clothing from his bag. He was still recovering from those busted ribs. It took longer than he would have liked to heal up but each and every movement aggravated them again. The worst part was the breathing. He could sit still for a while and be alright but, he couldn’t stop breathing.

After stepping into his pants he sat down on the edge of the bed, pressing his feet into his black shoes. Bending down awkwardly, he managed to tie them without too much fuss. He let out a sigh of exertion as he sat back up, stretching his arms over his head before he grabbed the room key and stuffed it into his pocket.

It was early in the morning, Christmas morning to be exact and Nutmeg was in much need of finding a place to call home for the afternoon; which is why he had sprung the idea to break into The Chaise Hotel and steal their finest suite! It was foolproof, it was exciting, it had it all; romance, drama, action, and even a near-death experience. Nonchalantly he walked his way into the main room and shifted his view over to the welcoming kiosk as well as the two security guards that seemed to be securing everything.

Two guards. One angry looking older woman, and a partridge in a pear tree. This will be easy, I just simply need to make my way up those steps over there. They'll never see it coming, it's so simple... walking slowly towards the steps he trudges up them, looking back once or twice to make sure the guards aren't grabbing at their weapons. Yet nothing happens, he's home free! Taking a quicker gait he begins to run all the way up to the... 33rd floor, he should have just taken the elevator.

Just need to... catch my... why don't I work out... more... sigh.

Once the wheezing subsided, Nutmeg was in. Grasping tightly to the nicest door he could spot on the highest floor, he pulled it open, but alas it would not budge. Damn! Locks were his greatest weakness. Taking the elevator this time he went back to the first floor and hatched a new plan, this time he would speak with the person at reception.

"Hello there, I would like to rent your finest room.", Ha! The fool did not see it coming at all, they offered up the key and in return, he only had to give her a bit of currency. This place was fully duped, indeed. Another successful mission for Nutmeg.

I'm in!

Time was of the essence, he had just arrived in the city of Detroit and needed a quick place to rest his laurels until the family could come pick him up. It wasn't the typical family one might expect upon hearing the words, but rather a collection of rather burly men and scary women who all open carried; his family. Looking up at the stars while thinking about what was next in store for him, Figment was brought back to earth by the sound of a bell.

Ring Ring.

Riiiing Riiiing.

Or was it a phone? He was never good at identifying such things. Oh! It was the reception desk! That meant he was finally here! Hopping along into the building, he walked up towards the concierge and tapped at the bell which sat there. Ahh, finally, a ring. Exactly what he was expecting to hear. He did like it when things just made sense.

"Hello, is anyone here? I just heard a phone. HELLLLO?!"

No one came to answer, and yet he saw them all. Just sitting there. Doing nothing. Pfttt. Disgusting! He would take matters into his own hands, then. Walking over to the front desk, he swiped a bunch of keys and took the one that seemed to be for the main suite. Perfect. Making his way easily to the top floor, Figment opened the door to see a bunch of spice dusted all throughout the place.

"What the hell..."

Putting his finger to the dust, he took a taste. Was that... nutmeg? Odd. But no matter, sweeping it up into the trash bin, he walked over to the bed and plopped down. Now for a quick nap, and then on to his next adventure! Yet something still ate away in the back of his mind, what was going on here and why did it taste so wonderful?

"Welp. Time to sleep."

Closing his eyes and entering a deep slumber, figment for a moment heard a weird pounding sound up against the ceiling of his room. He was going to complain about the people being too noisy on the floor above him, before remembering that there was no floor above him! It was a whodunnit of epic proportions, and he decided he would get to the bottom of it. Just after one more nap...

11 hours later

Waking up quite groggily, Figment almost forgot about what he had planned to do just hours before but that's when he saw from the corner of his eye... was it... a present? For him!? Running over to it, he unwrapped it with very little time to spare, almost as if he were planning to defuse a bomb-- and that's when he saw it. It was... beautiful! A... well he had no idea what it was, but he had never been given a gift before, so he plopped the thing into his pocket and went down to the main floor, surely his new family would be here to pick him up any moment now.

This was just the beginning for good old Figment.

Tipped off by the porter, Imelda takes the lift up to the top floor. She lights up a cigarette and walks slowly along the corridor glancing at the numbers as she passes. Finally, she stands in front of the door she was looking for and grinning while knowing an unsuspecting Figment was inside. She stubs out the cigarette in a nearby plant pot as she looks up and down the corridor swiftly. Imelda bangs on the door. A loud noise comes from behind it and after a few more tumbles, a half dressed Figment opens up. Imelda stares as she smirks. "Well, are you going to invite me in?"

Swiftly opening the door believing this to finally be his ride to the headquarters, he is taken by surprise to notice that instead of anyone from his family that it is Imelda standing there at his doorstep. Unsure of what to do with his hands, he places them into his pants pockets and ushers her into the room, which is when the door knocks again and in steps a young boy with his room service-- enough food to feed an entire family, eggs benedict and three different types of sausage all accompany the plate of mashed potatoes piled high.

"This isn't, uh, all for me... there's other pe..."

Before he can even finish his sentence a second cart filled with more food is dropped off in the room. Tipping both of the men, he pushes them out of the room before they can speak and slams the door shut.

"I have a big appetite, okay?! So what brings you here?"

Placing some cream cheese onto one of his bagels, he waits for an explanation from the woman.

Imelda's eyes widen at the sight of so much food. Its just kept coming. When she thought that was it... there was more.

"Looks like I called by at just the right time. Do we have orange juice to go with that?" Imelda grins at Figment as she places the food from the trolley and onto the table. She arranges it all just so then takes a seat and starts helping herself.

With a mouthful of pancake, she starts to speak... "well, there wasn't any specific reason other than I thought you were dead so had to come see for myself." Imelda wipes her mouth with a napkin and pours some milk.

"Dead, why would I be dead? I'm more alive than I've ever been in my life!'

Taking some of the omelette from one of the plates he shoved it into his mouth while looking at the door, he knew that no one else was coming and the lie he had told would come undone any minute now if he didn't think fast; so with his own mouth, he began to make a ringing sound before rushing over to the phone on the wall, picking it up he improvised a conversation.

"Whaaat? You guys can't make it?! Really? Damn! I got all of this food for all of us. Wow. That's so sad."

Smiling to himself he walked back over to one of the seven trays that sat firmly on it and carried it over to where Imelda was sitting, taking a seat right next to her he began to shove sausage links into his mouth. One by one they accepted their destiny, as the maple smell wafted throughout the entire room.

"So, who told you I was dead?", he asked while some meat was dangling from his mouth. Slurping it up, he grinned and continued to pile in the food while he waited for an answer.

After spending way too much time at the Drunk Phoenix, Dick needed somewhere quiet to rest his head. Really any place would do just to stop the spinning that was making his stomach turn a bit. He never should have ordered that second glass of whiskey.

Even Dick was surprised as he made it into the hotel with only minor stumbling, that was a step up from the amount of times he had to grab onto a street post just to keep himself up right on the way over here. Whiskey never usually hit him like this but maybe he had been going to hard of late. Things were still up in the air with Katrina and that certainly wasn’t helping matters any.

He somehow managed to jam his key into the lock, struggling with it for a second or two before the door finally swung open. He imagined the place would look quite nice if he wasn’t seeing two and three of everything at the moment. He managed to kick off one shoe but when the other got stuck, he quickly gave up before slumping down on to the couch, half pulling a blanket over himself as he did.

Jason arrived to Detroit on very last flight from Chicago and since he didnt owned an apartment here he decided to grab a hotelroom for himself. He asked the taxi driver for a hotel and he tood him that one of citiest best hotels are called The Chaise Hotel. Taxi driver drove there, Jason paid for his drive and walked into the lobby. It was very nice hotel, with a very big aquarium at the front. He walked to the administrator desk and asked for a room. He paid for his night and went upstairs to his room 316. He entered the room and placed down his briefcase. Went to the shower and shaved himself. After cleaning himself he had a quick snack, smoked a cigarette and went to sleep. He was exhausted from the long flight. In the morning when he woke up, he took a shower and drank coffee. Dressed up and started to look the newspapers. He was looking for a property that was for selling, because he wanted to buy one and open a business here in Detroit. He phoned to few agencies around the city and got an appointment with some of them. He dressed and went downstairs. Called himself a taxi and drove there to a meeting.
