The Chaise Hotel Started by: Lord-Alucard on Mar 09, '19 03:35
It was late, and I needed a room. I think I knew the owner, or Billy told me to come, one of the two, I forget which. Lemme think now...did he say it was his brother? Do I wanna throw that out there? Hmm.. I really did not know. Unless it was known already...maybe it was a secret or something. I didn't know. I guess I would be finding out. I don't think this owner guy knew me yet, so I would have to introduce myself, if he was available, that is. I am so tired though, I hope I don't say anything stupid. That would be terrible, wouldn't it?. I walked in , stood at the desk, letting it hold me u almost from embarrassing myself from falling onto the cushy carpeting.

Billy shrugged.

"I didn't have a ceremony, I would have liked one, but sometimes, I think especially with you two, it would just be an excuse for a party afterward really. You already love each other. I don't see a reason to have to say it. God knows, you know, everyone around you knows, I wouldn't worry too much."

He picked up his glass and sipped at it.

"By the way, that sandwich sounds real damned good, I think we should eat before we try to get the rest of the family to come by. After all I came to see you, not everyone else. Sometimes it's nice to just see an old familiar face and not have all the baggage around you, you know?"

He sighed and put the glass down, leaning back in the chair.

"Speaking of old faces, are you starting to get a little gray yet too? I figured out that if I don't shave, some of my chin hairs are a bit grey."

He rubbed at his face then, worried that since he mentioned them they might spring into existence.

"You'll love it then," Alucard said speaking of the sandwich. "It's a beautiful and tasty reminder of England."

Alucard gave a laugh noticing Billy rubbing at his chin while mentioning seeing some gray hairs starting to show their face.  "Nah I can't say I have seen any sign of gray yet.  If I ever find out who my biological parents are, I might have to thank them for the good genes.  Though the swelling in my head, from that attack I suffered in Vegas, hasn't gone down.  I'm still in quite a bit of danger, but it is what it is.   We can die, at any time for any reason, I'm not letting it stop me from enjoying things.  Just not taking any unnecessary risks."

He ran his fingers through his hair before rubbing the back of his neck. Jerry came up and whispered into Alucard's ear that Integra was on the phone.

"Excuse me Billy, seems my lady has called here looking for me."

He quickly walked to his office, and picked up the phone.  "Tegs what's up?  I'm here meeting up with Billy."

His eyes went wide with her reaction to that, "I'll do my best to keep him here, I'll see you and the group here shortly.  Love you."

He hung up the phone, and walked back out to his table with Billy where Jerry had brought their sandwiches out to them while he was taking the call with Integra.  He took a deep breath and gave a long slow exhale as he sat back down.

"Tegs wanted to know if it was alright to bring Video's GodFather celebration party here, she was pleased as punch until I mentioned you.  She sounded pretty pissed man. She's requesting I try to keep you here.  Tell me, when was the last time you saw her, talked to her?"

Billy furrowed his brow.

"Uh, probably not since she came up by you honestly."

He blushed a bit and scratched his own head then.

"I don't know if staying is a good idea, she's probably pissed at me you know. I haven't exactly been around as much as I could have been. Or should have been really. Course I'm not going to go anywhere, I know if I leave you're gonna catch hell so I won't but I'm not looking forward to a pissed off Tegs."

He lifted the sandwich and took a bite then. It was every bit as juicy and savory as he had hoped it would be.

"Damn, I should have come here a real long time ago."

Alucard looked Billy in his eyes and gave his brother a disappointed look.

"Avoiding her, isn't going to make things any better brother.  It will only make things worse in the long run. Just stay, let her smack you in the back of the head then hug it out because she loves you, and misses you.  Plus, party with us.  I think I'm staying sober to make sure things don't get too crazy, and hell someone needs to keep a level head.  Call Aurora over, you both should party with us."

Alucard as well took a big bite of his sandwich. Closed his eyes as he enjoyed the flavor, and the memories of being back on the Hellsing estate with Integra, Walter, and Arthur.

"Well, you know you can come here now for a damn good sandwich though!"

Why did it always have to be flying... moving from Philadelphia to Detroit was not something that a car ride would make easier, not like a New York to Philadelphia drive, or a Detroit to Chicago drive. Nope, it had to be flying. And not only was it flying while buzzed, but it was also flying with a bunch of others who were just as drunk, if not drunker than herself. Once they landed, Integra had made sure there were Taxis for everyone so they could arrive at the same time, or travel to a place they wanted to visit, she would pay for all the tabs of the Taxis as well, especially since some of the bars had made some drinks and food on the house, which made it easier to tip.

Getting out of the car and walking into the Hotel, Integra headed off to the bar that she could hear, smiling warmly as she spotted the bartender Jerry. "Jerry! How have you been! It's been so long! Could we get a round of drinks for the group that is going to follow me in at some point?" She smiled brightly even more as she spotted Wild-Card and Billy_Mastrosimone. She couldn't help but walk quickly up to the pair as she hugged her brother tightly from behind before standing up and slapping him hard, on his back. To the point that her hand stung just a little. Her smile turned into a bit of a glare as she watched her brother. "Where the hell have you been? No letter, no phone call, nothing?!" She looked a bit pissed off, and honestly, she had all the reason to be. She had left Las Vegas for Seattle and then not long after heard of the city's demise. Only after some time did she hear from Alucard that he'd talked to Aurora and Billy... but for her brother not to reach out to her... she was a bit upset.

"You better be staying here tonight... because you are joining us..."

She thanked Jerry when he finally brought around the drinks, downing one of hers to continue her buzz before taking a seat next to Alucard and pecking his cheek. "It's good to see you again, Love. We missed you in New York and Philly... the bars were... interesting."

Gunnar shoved his way through the hotel doors and loudly blurted "Oy, where de fookin' bar?" He was clearly already intoxicated "Since i missed you lovelies at the last two, i figured i had some catching up ta do!"

He then approached the bar, looking around for anybody he knew while speaking to the bartender

"I'll take a scotch neat, if ya wouldn't mind boyo. Two fingers please" Gunnar then sat back deep into his stool and and continued surveying the room

Thomas didn't wait for Kat's presence to pop too this time, he knew EXACTLY where that Chaise Hotel was... A natural hot spot for magical energy, directly on top of a ley line. He grinned as he pushed through the doors and headed straight for the lounge. Integra, Alucard, and an already drunk Gunnar were there. Video hadn't made it yet, Kat was somewhere behind him, and a few of the other stragglers that were -way- too drunk to be pushing along; but they'd all be here eventually.

He joined Gunnar at the bar and held up a hand to second the order; another scotch, neat, two fingers. Turning as he waited, he offered his hand.

"Gunnar Everett. My pleasure to properly introduce meself. I'm Thomas O'Malley, but most everyone just calls me Alley Cat."

They shook hands then Thomas turned to face the bar, resting his arms on it. "Glad to see ya out and about, helpin' celebrate Godfather Video's ascension to greatness. So what kind of work are ya in for, Gunnar? If ya don't mind me askin' ya?"

He thanked the barkeep and slid a twenty across the counter as the drinks arrived. "Keep it, lad. I know it's a rough time for everyone." He lifted his glass to Gunnar and nodded before taking a sip.

Everything was beaaaautiful!  Katherine giggled as she exited the taxi, still with her rum and coke glass in hand.  She wasn't certain why she still had it and made a mental note to return the glass to Roger at some point.  But she beamed wildly as she wandered into the next place behind her beloved Integra.  She looked around her and immediately felt herself relax.  This was a good place.  They were among friends.  She could relax.  She watched as Integra requested a number of drinks to be set out and she wiggled with glee.  This stuff was wonderful and made her head feel so...  Insane!  She looked to the remainder of her rum and coke and quickly knocked it back with a sigh.  That was yummy.  She wandered up behind Integra and glanced around the area as she greeted the two.  Tilting her head a little, she watched quietly for a moment.  Who was this guy?  She could't say she'd met him yet...  But she'd give Integra space.

Instead another man drew her gaze and a gleeful giggle bubbled up as she reached into her pocket, carefully popping a small package of...  Something into her palm.  As she neared Alucard, her smile broadened.  "Alucaaaard!"  She sang like the little songbird she was before running up and throwing her arms around his neck.  A light scent of alcohol lingered around her.  The girl had been into something.  But before objection could be made, she stepped back almost deftly and suddenly blew into her palm.  A burst of beautiful glitzy pieces suddenly sprang forth in a shower to cover the man before her.  Kat once again giggled almost maniacally before looking to the bartender who gave her quite the odd look, but it seemed as if he was trying very hard not to laugh.

Kat wasn't showing near the composure before hugging Alucard tightly again and sharing in his glitter, not seeming to mind one bit.

Once her fun was had she would look over to the barkeep and lean on the bar batting those eyes playfully.  "Surprise me?"  She seemed to enjoy that phrase and now that she was loosening up a bit it once again leaped from her lips and she was soon presented with something that smelled very fruity.  Taking a sip of it, she groaned in appreciation before looking around the growing crowd with a contented sigh.

"GUNNAR!  THOMAS!"  She suddenly called out having not noticed the two from her own home right away.  Thomas she knew would be here though and so with a playful wave to Alucard, Kat bounded over to hug her dear ones in a gleeful manner.  Oh yes...  Kat was letting loose, but did it suit her?

Mickey was looking forward to this one...….getting drunk in a swanky hotel bar and then just staggering upstairs to sleep it off in a classy place.

As he walked through the doors he saw that he was a little late to the party.  He couldn't help but notice that Kat was even starting to cut loose a little.  He walked over to his friends and gave them all a smile and hugs.

Round 3!  Not sure who came up with this idea but it was pure genius!

He picked up a drink that had been already place on the bar and he quickly tipped it back and slammed the glass on the bar.

Whiskey and water please! Make it a double!

Mickey couldn't help but notice Kat dancing around and thought to himself that it should be getting interesting in a day or two when they get to Vegas.

Billy shrugged in the direction of his sister and shrugged.

"I figured you knew I was fine, and honestly, I didn't think you needed me much. You were a mom now, maybe you didn't have time for an idiot brother anymore. Motherhood suits you by the way."

He smiled and hugged her just as the door flew open and a flood of people started coming in.

"Joining who exactly? I'm not staying at the hotel, I live in Detroit, I have to go home at some point, but what is going on. Alucard, you didn't tell me there was going to be a party, I can't crash the place!"

He looked longingly to his sandwich and reached down to take a bite just as a woman threw herself around Alucard and blew glitter onto him. It was actually kind of cute, right up until Billy caught her eye. For a split second he though he recognized her face, but he shook it off. It must have been the wine. Tara was gone. And then as soon as he had the thought, so was the other woman, bouncing off to see other folks.

"Well, looks like you're all going to have a great time. I really should go, maybe one drink, but only to get reacquainted with my family."

He put an arm on Integra's shoulder then and smiled.

"After all Alucard, looks like you've got to play host here."

She first booked a room, it was sure to be a long night and she didn't feel like flying again.  After getting everything sorted, she headed to the hotel bar, where some of her favorite people were already enjoying the evening.  She spotted Kat, a little too happy, and giggled as she bounced around the room.  She waved to Integra as she chatted with Wild-Card.  It was good to see him finally join the party.  Where was Video?  Always late to the party, but it was great to hang out with him.  Things had been so busy lately, it was nice just spending time with all of the wonderful Seattle people.

She saw Mickey and headed his way.  Whiskey and water, exactly what she would order.

How goes it Mickey?

She sways just slightly, taking a seat, motions for the waitress.

I will have the same please.  How about a round for everyone?

Integra walked up to him, and his face light up.  Integra was, in a word, beautiful, so while she may have attempted to get away with just a peck on the cheek, he turned his face and kissed her on her lips.  Letting his lips linger over hers as he grinned.

"It is good to see you as well my love.  I see you're staying relatively sober, that's no fun. Go ahead, drink it up.  I'll be the one to herd this flock of drunks around."

"KAT!" Alucard said when he saw Kat_Pryde approaching. Alucard couldn't help but laugh as she blew glitter all over him, this wasn't the first time she had done it and he doubted it would be the last. Still, he took it all in stride and stood up as he hugged her, spinning her in a tiny circle.   When he put her back down he looked at her now being covered in glitter as well, and smiled when he spoke.

"And now the two of us are the most fabulous people here!" He smirked, "And I see alcohol makes you a happy little one, my glitter goddess."

He just laughed and shook his head as she bounced off to go greet the other people joining the party.  He turned to face Billy.  He clapped his brother on the shoulder, slightly shaking his head.

"Billy, I did tell you about the party, twice.  Even suggested you giving Rora a call to come join us.  Please don't tell me your hearing is going along with your hair color."  He gave Billy a playful wink. "You are right in one thing, I do need to go be a good host.  So stay, enjoy the sandwich, have a few drinks, and spend some time with your sister.  I wasn't lying when I told you she misses you."

He looked towards his sandwich, "Tegs, before you go crazy with the drinking, finish that sandwich up. No need for a good Shooter's to go to waste.  They're amazing here, I promise you." He leaned in and gently kissed her once again before he took off into the crowd of people.

He strolled over to where @Haley and Mickey_Bowers were.  "Hello!  Good to see you two here.   Welcome to my establishment.  So how are you two enjoying this party bus so far?"

By the time a few people had arrived, Integra drank about three glasses of the whiskey in front of her, just before a spray of glitter sprang forth and covered a few things. Glancing in the direction, Integra found herself laughing and shaking her head at the woman. "Oh, Kat, you are certainly being a Glitter Goddess... if I'd known just a few drinks did this to you, I would have taken you out drinking a while ago." She smiled as she watched the woman disappear off to have fun.

Feeling her brother's arm around her shoulder, Integra smiled and leaned into it slightly, happy to know he was still doing good before turning her gave over to him. "So, catch me up... what's been going on since I left for Seattle? How's Aurora and the kids?" She was just a bit buzzed, the current alcohol she'd down slowly working its way into affecting her and in a few minutes, she'd be easily a bit drunk. She couldn't hold as much alcohol as she used to be able too, not drinking for nine months though would do that to someone's tolerance and really she didn't mind at all, not when there was Seras and how much the little girl already had her wrapped around her finger. Hell just leaving her for this bar and city-hopping had her itching to get back home, but it was also nice to get out. Even nicer to be able to see her brother again.

"Alucard's right though, I've missed our talks..."

This was a BEAUTIFUL idea!  Katherine squealed with delight as she hugged Aulcard tightly even after spraying him with glitter.  Her eyes shone as they took in the people around him.  They locked on the man that sat nearby with a sandwhich and as their eyes met, she gave a grin that anyone who spent any time around the Wolf himself may recognize.  Her eyes sparked excitedly and as she met eyes with Tegs, she grinned even bigger at the woman.  Shooting little heart hands in her direction, she turned her attention back upon the bedazzled Alucard just as he swept her off her feet as if she weighed as much as a down pillow!  Haphazardly putting her drink down and giggling gleefully she held on tightly in the hug before stepping back once released.  She wobbled a little but stayed upright gripping a chair back and still laughing before snagging her drink again and taking a healthy sip of her beverage, finishing it off, she nodded enthusiastically.

Striking a quick and playful pose as she too was covered with the shiny stuff, she grinned broadly up at her new very tall friend.  "The most fabulous ones in the place I'm sure!"  She loved glitter, loved it when anyone wore it, herself included.  Cocking her head to the side as both Alucard and Integra agreed on a beautiful nickname to coin her with, she hummed as she mulled it over.  "Glitter Goddess...  Now that has a beauuuuutiful ring to it!  Gotta go! Bye!"

And with that she would be gone to leave them to their devices.  She had crew mates to greet even if she did likely make them jump out of their skin with her over the top gleeful explosion.

Video stumbles in quite tired and hungover. The bar hop was expecting him to be more talkative but he barely found time to open his mouth a part from drinking more whiskey. Hayley and Integra literally walked him around from place to place. Everytime his blurry vision caught sight of one of his friends he waved and attempted to speak to them.

WALID CAREDXS IDS THGAT UUUUUUUUUU!?

Of course he was trying to say hello to Wild-Card but his words slurred and vision was lost. His limit after those Long Island Teas had certainly been reached.

He was in need of a bed for the night and were on his way over to The Chaise Hotel there he knew the beds were good and also always provided a good night's sleep to a price that didn't rob you.

He came in and stands in front of the desk where the night-clerk stands and he seems pretty tired himself where he stood so LillisMolly took it easy and with low voice asked for a room for the night, he got room 48 and got the key and he walked to the room tired and got in and almost immodestly gone to bed and came into the dreamworld pretty quick.

Trevor landed in Detroit, and unlike New York, he wasn't going to waste any time in making sure he booked a room to stay at.  Not only did he need to get away from the confusion swirling around his brain from seeing Nessa in some contest to marry another man, but he had been given the deeds to his brother's hotel and he had business to attend to.

He stood outside the Chaise, and stared up.  He was amazed at how well the building was kept, he wasn't sure what state the building would be in, but he was pleased to see it was still well taken care of.  He opened one of the great doors and quietly walked into the lobby of the hotel.  He locked eyes briefly with the older woman behind the counter, and he froze when he saw anger start to rise in her face.

Maggie stormed out from behind the lobby's counter, and stormed right up to Trevor.  "ALUCARD YOU BASTARD!" She shouted as she walked up to him, smacking him across his face.  "How dare you!  Disappear for years, making us think you're dead!  And.. And... not only do you show up, but you show up looking like a younger man!"

"MAGGIE!" Alice, a younger maid shouted. "That's not Alucard you old bag, now get back to your job."

The younger maid sighed and she took a long hard look at the young man in front of her.  She nearly couldn't be her eyes, the maid understood how the old clerk could mistake him for their old boss.  She gently placed her hand on Trevor's shoulder, trying to look the frightened young man in his eyes.  "Please forgive the old woman, you do bear an uncanny resemblance to our previous boss, and whether she wants to admit it or not she cared a lot for him.  We all did, he was a good man."

"You're Alice?  Alucard wrote about you and Maggie in his journals, and a young man named Wesley.  He gave me the deeds of his businesses to me... I... I... I'm Trevor Moore."  Trevor said meekly, attempting to show the confidence he didn't feel.

"WHY the hell would Alucard... give some pathetic kid like you the deeds to his businesses?"  Maggie said looking at Trevor in disgust.

Trevor looked at the bitter old woman, he had no idea why she was being so cold with him.  "He was my brother."

"Alucard never had any siblings, he'd have talked about them... like he did that kid of his, he was all about family." Alice spoke cautiously as she looked at Trevor.

"He didn't know, until right before... father sent him a letter."  Trevor didn't want to tell them his brother was still alive and in hiding.  He was well aware that Alucard's current safety was based on his secret being kept for the time being. "If you don't believe me, I have the deeds with me to at least prove I own the place now."

Trevor opened the briefcase he had brought with him, and pulled out the papers with proof of ownership.  Deeds, city ordinances, everything.

"Well, can't deny the paperwork,"  Alice said. "I'm sorry for her outburst, is there something we can do for you?"

"A room would be great, something big and luxurious.  I really need to try and forget the events that lead up to now... please."  Trevor asked quietly as his brain once again wandered to the girl he called his heart.

Report Post Tip

Grasping at straws...  That's what she had been doing for the last few hours.  She tried to figure out where Trevor was.  He wasn't at the HQ, he wasn't at home...  He wasn't at the Black Wolf, she had already called...  Ugh ugh ugh!  Nessa couldn't put her finger on it, but after seeing his rapid exit at that crazy weird competition thing that she had found herself wrapped up in, she had just known that something was wrong.  Now it had been a big misunderstanding on her part, but did he know this?  As soon as it fully clicked as to what that was all about, the girl had all but flew from that stage.  But did he know that?  She bit her lip hard and shook her head a little trying to clear it.  There was one other place she thought to go.  And so it was that she found herself on a plane to Detroit.  She didn't know of very many places that Trevor went to outside the city when he wasn't with her.  But there were a few places that were high on her list to try.  Closing her eyes, she felt her stomach turn in turmoil.  She was fairly certain that something was very wrong, but she couldn't tell what.  Surely he would know that it was a misunderstanding right?  How could he?

But all that really mattered the most in the whirlwind of confusion that went through the naive young girl's mind was to find the other half of her very soul.  She vaguely knew what that had looked at and that's not how she meant it in the least.  Sure she liked Viktor just fine, but even in her young mind, there was only one boy she had even entertained the thought of entwining her life with so far.  But again...  Perhaps he didn't know that.  Tears stung her eyes just a little as the panic took hold.  They almost couldn't get the little red head to stay still while the plane landed properly.  The moment she possibly could, she would be gone like a shot, barely making sure to grab her carry on.  Moving through the streets of Detroit at a pace that fairly dared anyone to get in her way, she made her way toward the address of a place she had yet to find.  A place she had only heard of.  Somewhere called the Chaise Hotel.  It was there that she had a gut feeling she'd find her heart.  Her love.  Her Trevor.

A few questions and a few directions later, she found the place.  Moving in silently, she looked around the quiet lobby.  It was fairly empty except for a fairly disgruntled looking clerk and a sweet looking maid.  The woman looked up at her from behind the desk greeting her fairly gruffly.  "Welcome to the Chaise Hotel, how can I help you?"  It was clear that her heart wasn't in the question.  Something had upset her.  Nessa's heart went out to her, but she quickly drew it in, her heart hammering.  Her head was reeling and she couldn't hardly contain herself.  "I'm looking for someone...  Trevor Moore?  Has he been here?  Please...  I must find him."  Why was she so panicked?  It was even beyond Nessa, but she felt a haste unlike she had felt for a long time.  The woman rolled her eyes a little.  It seemed there was more to do with that boy.  "He came in less than an hour ago.  He's staying upstairs on the third floor- Is he expecting you?"  She quickly stopped, realizing that giving away where he was staying might not be the best idea.  The girl was cute but what if she had mal intent?  She had dealt with people of their kind long enough.  But before Nessa could say another word, she took off, into an elevator on up to the third floor. "Thank youuu!"  She called out leaving a fairly floored Maggie behind her.

Flying out of the elevator Nessa ran down the hall of the hotel.  "TREVOR!  TREVOR!  TREVOOOOOORRRR!"  She yelled out likely disturbing the whole of the city block as she sought out her beloved.  She had to find him and chances were he was here.

Trevor had fallen asleep on the couch of the penthouse suite, he was so exhausted that he fell asleep immediately after laying down.  His nap was cut remarkably short by the ringing of the phone. Trevor jumped up, and squinted his eyes as he quickly took his brain out of the fog of just waking up.

"Yes..." His voice was quite, with the tiredness he was feeling.

"Um sir, this is Alice. There's a... um, excitable redhead coming up to your suite."  The maid said in a concerned tone.

Confusion filled Trevor's head, "Nessa? What is she doing in Det...."  His words were interrupted when he heard down the hallway the sweet familiar voice of his heart.  "I hear her... thanks."

Quietly walking to the door, he placed his hand on the handle.  His heart pounded, and his brain couldn't figure out why he was so scared to confront Nessa.  His heart knew, the fear stemmed from what he saw before he took off to Detroit, and the sickening realization that he may have been utterly wrong about how she viewed their relationship.    He took a deep breath an gathered himself, closing his eyes as he slowly turned the doorknob to open the door to the hallway.

He stepped out into the hallway and looked in the direction of the bounding red-head that was calling his name. He walked to meet her, wrapping her in a hug when they met.

"Nessa, what are you doing here?  How did you even find me?"   He choked a bit on his next words... "How, did you... uh... you know.. contest, thing go.  I'm sorry I didn't stay for the results,  you know... I had, you know... business to uh, take care of."
