During the last war we saw a Consig get blown away with an insane amount of protection still protecting him. Anyone else think the hand-cannons need to be trimmed back a bit?

Report Post Tip

you failed to mention the two godfathers who where taken down while iwp. amyone who puts in the work deserves to have the big gun to countrr the insane amount of bgs we have now

Report Post Tip

You're talking about a magic bullet that beats the Kennedy assassination. My point is that it is absurd to think someone would be able to bypass 100 guards to kill a man.

At least make it such that we have to cut the guy down a little before he is killed to give the game at least some strategy. Otherwise, what is the point of protection? Honestly, as of now I'll buy one BG to protect me from random wacking. After that, why bother?

We have ample opportunity now to train our guns enough to kill anyone for much less effort then it takes for them to stay in power.

(This is all OCC)

Report Post Tip

Btw you do cut down their BGs before you take a shot? Cities spend hours on ploughing through hordes of BGs just to get a clear shot.

Report Post Tip

last time I checked, an alive BG offers as much protection as a wounded BG. The wounded BG will just die quicker when shot at.

Simply put, no one with an insane amount of BGs should die from a shot, no matter who it comes from. Obviously, this is all in my opinion.

Report Post Tip

? Honestly would you rather have a war that last for days? Or a war that lasts for hours? This is change for the sake of change?

Report Post Tip

I'm simply asking that a reasonable amount of effort be put into removing people from power to be comparable to the amount that they put in to get there to begin with.

Right now, the inequity is huge.

Report Post Tip

"last time I checked, an alive BG offers as much protection as a wounded BG. The wounded BG will just die quicker when shot at."

A bg with 50 hp, only provides the defense of .5 of a BG.

The health directly relates to the defense that it provides.

100 BGs at 20hp, provide the same defense as 20 BGs at 100hp.

Report Post Tip

Looks like I'm wrong.

Thank you for clarifying this Squishy.

Report Post Tip

In lowering gun power, why wouldnt you ask for BGs to be lowered too?

Its rare to see a IWP person one shot removed.

Report Post Tip

I can agree with the fact that nobody who is IWP or OWP should be removed with one shot. Defies logic and reason....something most of yall are all about (involving the game itself) correct?

The trip to being "realistic" involves some major change along the way. There's no point in complaining about it when it goes against you then requesting something else "realistic" when it's a plus for your situation. Don't bring up realism if you're ok with killing someone you couldn't see or even identify in a mass of humanity.

Report Post Tip

realistically in the real world it doesnt matter how many body gaurds you have. if someone wants to kill you they'll find a way. So im fine with the way the system is now. If anything i think guns should be made more powerfull so you have a better chance of killing someone higher than you are. not by much, but by a slight margin.

Report Post Tip

Maybe as a different idea? Put a planning side into a hit? so this wouldn't be used for regular IAs because you'd spend idk "x" amount of hours planning, to increase your chance against "xxx" of BGs.? I can explain it more later too tired atm sorry :S

Report Post Tip

Well whenever we're given rocket launchers I can under stand being able to kill someone in a crowd of 300 people. Till then...realistically there's no way you could hit him (unless of course he's 7 feet tall and every BG is 6 feet and below). The BG wack function has been rendered damn near useless.

Report Post Tip

"I'm simply asking that a reasonable amount of effort be put into removing people from power to be comparable to the amount that they put in to get there to begin with."

The Effort is put in prior to the war the hitters train their marksmanship. Just as in any army protecting a nation you don't leave the recruitment office and go straight to the front line of war. You spend time starting in basic training and then into advanced training before you are even thought of to be sent into the battle. So to say that someone hasn't trained to become a "sniper" for lack of a better term is just absurd to me.

Timothy, Timothy, Timothy. If you really understood how much effort it takes to get to a point where you can remove someone with that sort of power, then perhaps you would be thinking along the lines of "Man, I really do feel sorry for some of these hitters. Who put in hours on a daily basis for months on end just for a single moment to bring down the super powers. It really isn't fair! In fact, we should make it even easier to kill some of these guy like TheDean."

Clearly its not evident as you have probably given up an eighth into your training. You also feel that obtaining bgs on a level of protection as seen in today requires much more effort than dropping accounts of that calibre, I am telling you that you are wrong. You want BGs, play the system, make the money and buy your bgs. Granted, it isn't that far off in building a gun either. Nab your npcs, rias, mias and ias and before you know it, you're a tip top shot ready to make a name for yourself like the many who are already waiting in line.

I can agree with the fact that nobody who is IWP or OWP should be removed with one shot. Defies logic and reason....something most of yall are all about (involving the game itself) correct?

Your perception of the game and its cosmetic look is far different to that of mine. That alone just goes to show you that there isn't really a correct/incorrect ideology here. I will explain with your next point.

The trip to being "realistic" involves some major change along the way. There's no point in complaining about it when it goes against you then requesting something else "realistic" when it's a plus for your situation. I am completely comfortable in hitting anything in front of me. That's because I see everything in front of me. To you, you see me, standing here with X amount of men keeping me safe from harms way. To you, there are so many bodygaurds that I have been lost in that crowd. In my eyes, I am in as clear a sight as the Insanely Well Protected individuals I have "one shotted".

You choose to role play the type of weapon you use in a kill, you may choose the manner in which your victim fell prey. Just because it says wack, and you seem to have a "gun" in your hand doesn't really mean you had to utilize those specific variables in your thought process. The term, "He got wacked" is and should be used very loosely. Be it being bagged on the head and dumped into a river or any other creative, unimaginable way you have conjured in that mind of yours.

Likewise, Insanely Well Protected is seen by me personally, as five well trained individuals who have the ability in keeping me safe (for the most part) from people who do not have it in them to work in the time frame that I have given in an example above. The only thing that does hold true, is that BGs were given a value. They add to your defensive stat. Like the wack feature, which adds a stat towards your offense. How much offense required to drop the effective defense of a player is what you are questioning.

realistically in the real world it doesnt matter how many body gaurds you have. if someone wants to kill you they'll find a way.

Rather redundant opening there Fritz, but in essence, you got it right. If someone wants you dead, you're dead. Whether you choose to apply all your resources on a single target for that specific kill, it's up to you. If you have the fire power after a years work to apply those very same resources over an entire city, then once again that is completely up to you.

Well whenever we're given rocket launchers I can under stand being able to kill someone in a crowd of 300 people.

Face value much RW318? I guess this problem would be solved if you received a statement indicating that you are the proud owner of a brand new "rocket launcher" with your 75 petties wouldn't it? The situation is yours to play to with. How you choose to perceive things is your own issue really, but what I find extremely hard to wrap my mind around is that certain individuals feel the need to completely ignore the amount of time/effort/work that has been put in by people who enjoy doing it. That should be rewarded with nothing more than a pat on the back for their cracking shot, instead it's easier to argue over scenarios such as being lost to a sea of 200 Bgs than it is in acknowledging ratios on a far more simpler level.

You spend time starting in basic training and then into advanced training before you are even thought of to be sent into the battle.

I love you Sho, even though you're still at basic training.

Oh my lord what a dumb thread!!!!

can we cap BGs, can we cap kills.

Get a life ffs.

Do you really think TheDean wandered into his RL cash and was given a gun that could hit an IWP godfather?

Le sigh, you clearly have a hell of a lot to learn about Mafia Returns and the bodyguard and wack features of the game. It takes minutes, hours, days, weeks, months of dedication to get to a level of kills that some people are currently at. They dont switch on a computer, pump in some paypal cash, buy some credits and get given a cannon. Totally the opposite whereas there are no caps to BGs and how many you can buy, you can only shoot 3 MIAs every 2 days once your wack is maxed out.

Where as you could throw $1000 dollars at the game purchase credits and BG up a gangster so that only a crewleader could hit them. To be able to hit someone who has thrown $1000 dollars at the game on BGs would take the best part of 9 months of MIAs.

Wacking in MR has been made easier but as FlyingPig always says being on wack doesnt make you a hitter.

Report Post Tip

I would agree with the IWP = 5 damn good BGs (It would make more sense)...but when you train those BGs it says "A massive amount of BGs have been retrained back to full badassery" (or something of the sorts). While I do keep overlooking the whole "gun" factor...this can't be overlooked.

200+ BGs makes you virtually invincible....especially in your sleep (another topic). You can roleplay around it of course....but shooting someone who has a small army around him with no chance of retaliation from the BGs just doesn't seem realistic in my eyes. Basically, you shouldn't make it out of that area.

Some form of this idea would force some strategy into war (A decent amount compared to what it's at now) and it will also add some much needed importance to the BG wack feature. Either that or limit BGs while upping their "value" massively.

Report Post Tip

Umm, a good sniper could take out one man in a crowd from a distance and get away with it. You are given a gun after 75 petties, not specifically a pistol.
