Today, I have been nominated to come out to talk to you. In a secret meeting of those available to the Godfather Council, it was decided it was time to remove Las Vegas. It was decided a lack of trust in the leadership of the city after a catalogue of errors stretching over a prolonged period were enough to rebuild LV under new management. Even with the war won and wounds bound, we were then faced with the re-filling of Detroit and Seattle. As Detroit was met with a quick agreement to be refilled we noticed again the hesitant nature of LV as it and LA were asked to refill Sea. As time ticked we started to get messages from members of LV wanting to set up in Seattle as more and more came to Godfathers and Crew leaders sometimes with conversation transcripts we watched again worryingly. We heard how the same people telling us they wanted to leave and producing transcripts or recording of conversations denied by their Chairwoman as not interested. Subsequently, not filling Seattle would have cost implications as we watched hits to our forts, bodyguards as an almost paranoid hold was kept on LV gangsters. With the damage financially and a lack of confidence in Las Vegas, letters floated around for the removal of Las Vegas. Not one thing but a combination of many had led to feelings with time and growth the disorganisation would spread and create unwanted elements in society. As time continued people came and talked of Las Vegas shutting itself away from other cities, worries of paranoia before Gamerys would remove Detroit Left Hand Nevermore. It was felt the events were continuing and problems would continue, with allegations Miss Niki sat on the witness with the shooter retired this created anger in some corners. One thing would add on to another, on to another it felt and things were not going to improve. |

Spence listened to 5 minutes of bullshit and 1 minute of substance at the end of Angelo’s rambling. He wasn’t bitter. His forefathers had been killed every way imaginable. It’s the life he signed up for. At the end of the day he knew the truth. The group of so called mobsters in charge now don’t deserve the likes of Miss_Niki. She was one of the best this game has seen. Realizing any words said would fall on deaf ears, Spence merely flicked his cigarette to the ground, shook his head at what he had heard and walked away. |

It was always a sad sight to see an entire city wiped out. All around there were disappointed, angry and compassionate faces. Also in Angelo_Lagusa's speech, Rudy felt there was no sense of superiority to be sensed. He saw how Spence was shaking his head and walking off before Rudy could say anything supportive of his praise to Miss_Niki. He understood. Then he looked at GuestRoom666, next to him, and replied The character of this world of ours is not peace. You should know that, as we all do. Of course, you are entitled to agree or disagree with the actions taken, clearly. But if I understand correctly, without having had any prior information, the problem was not that the Las Vegas leaders were too peaceful, yet that they were too peaceful. Just after he finished his sentence, Rudy understood that he had made extremely little sense, even for his standards. I don't mean a city needs to be pro-active to country-wide events, but if I understand Godfather Lagusa well, the city may have lacked on participating in the removal of previous threats. Apparently there were more reasons that ultimately led to undertaking this action though.. Looking back at the whole crowd now, Rudy added One peculiar thing I would like to ask you about, Angelo_Lagusa, though, is the point you made on the hitlisting of Miss_Niki. As you may be aware, I have been discussing the whole idea of this type of financial warfare on the streets earlier, so I was wondering.. Did the hitlisting influence your decision at all? Or was the decision already taken and did the hitlist merely influence the timeframe of the actions? |

Rudy Being HEAVILY involved with this from start to finish i can tell you that this wasnt a factor, it was merely a "bonus" for the lack of a better phrase. What i dont want to do is give the hitlister any credit here, whatsoever. As this wasnt a balnce tipping thing or a "nail in the coffin" it was just coincidence, nothing more. Plans where already well advanced before the hit showed up. So in retrospect, it was of the hitlisters resources, as it was happening anyway.
Its not a case of being too peaceful, im certain during their reign they shot many people. for me personally it was the lack of 100% commitment during these wars that put me on the back foot. It almost looked like a fence sitting exercise to see which way it was swinging before they jumped in. Which for most parts, will always get the backs up of the waring side. Especially giving the circumstances of said wars we are talking about. As im almost certain they knew that they had to jump in at some point or they would have suffered this long before they did now. |

@GuestRoom66 please define peaceful? We are mobsters, we cheat, we lie, we steal and we fucking kill. Are you saying Vegas never participated in any of these acts? I can say with total certainty that they did. And i can also say that if they all where not killed, they wold have shot; peaceful act? i think not. In fact some did shoot back... |

It is a shame that the $175m wasn't a factor. I would have respected that. |

$175m is a lot of money and this is a money-orientated business. It would make sense for money-orientated businessmen to have been motivated to act by it. I would have respected that line of thinking and there is no shame in dying because someone wanted to seize an opportunity. |

But the point of it is this; that hit went up only few hours before we took out Vegas and it was never a factor in Vegas being killed, we sat on killing Vegas for around a week, so this hit was just uncanny timing and a decision that had already been made a week before. So to sit and lie and say it was totally money orientated wold be a lie and wouldn't be a fair assessment of why Vegas where removed. I dont think that would have been fair to all the residents of Vegas, not fitting whatsoever. |

Thank you for the explanation, Insta. Also thank you for correcting yourself... Rudy smiled Maybe that correction wasn't necessary, though. I think we all know how important money is and AvardT has a valid point in underlining that there was a large amount of money on Godmother Niki's head. Even in your ranks, I am sure 175 million is not considered change.. From the hitlister's perspective, it was never a waste of money. He, or she, got what they wanted for the price they wanted to spend on it. |

oh its undeniably a great deal of money and it was a "sweetener" but like i said in a different reply, it was juts uncanny timing. The time and date had been set before the hit came up, it just came up at the right time, poor terminology but you get my point. It didn't really speed anything up, we just knew we as being rewarded extra for our efforts.
Possibly not, but these events where happening irrespective of the hit-list or not. And if we're saying money talks and we have established that this was happening anyway, it seems a waste, or at the very least a premature hit list. |

Taking out Las Vegas is completely understandable. Whether for being too peaceful or for the money or both, its all in the business. But, after ALL the threats were eliminated, there were extremely low ranking people, some with the ability to hold no more than 10 units of drugs, requesting time to find a new home, and was met with a 'probably' and a 'you'll be killed anyway'. What the fuck kind of weak shit is that? You people really needed that extra body? What I mean to say is...an exception could have been made only for the ones who were not a threat in any way AND wanted a chance to find a good place to live and work. They weren't important enough to become a target when the initial attack was carried out, so I assume the general logic dictated that the lowest ranking people who requested to find a new home were not worth doing business with. Keep in mind that it was the 'leadership' that decided to be harmfully passive. It was the 'leadership' that failed to attend the meetings and address the issues that were mentioned by Angelo. I don't understand how any leader would deny a low-ranking-homeless person's request for a parley other than to add another body to their list of murders. Would anyone care to educate me on this subject?? And please, give it to me straight because I'm allergic to that bullshit. Thank you. |

Baby Beel took out his pacifer and put his hands behind his back.
"Gitchee (I believe you Sir Lagusa. I also wouldn't be surprised if they just looked at you the wrong way, that the leadership wanted to expand, or that you were just looking out for your family's interest. That's just the way in this things of ours.)"
"Gitchee (I am saddened for the loss of Las Vegas. To me, it was proof that a certain style could prosper in this thing of ours. The more peaceful, inactive, and story-telling mafioso could carve out a niche in this type of war-torn world.)"
"Goo (They have had their space. Rafa and Miss Niki had carved out that space for them. It wasn't so bad for their leadership to disappear. In this thing of ours, even the most tyrannical leaders live only for a limited time.)"
"Bow (Rest in peace, Las Vegas. I liked seeing you peaceful, sleepy, and bar-going mafioso around. I hope your kin find a new home.) |

Atom, maybe I can answer this in a few questions returned to you. If someone agrees to join a family and be completely loyal to said family why should they get a free ride out of the family because of poor leadership choices? What new crime family is going to look upon this young mobster who turned their back on their family to save themselves and join a new one? If you were to remove a tight nit family, would you leave young members of this organization alive which you are to assume were fully committed and loyal to this family till their last breath or would you assume doing so would one day lead to your own demise? Everything in this life is calculated risk. The attackers lost quite a few good men themselves because of the loyalty of the fallen. Old or young, wholesale drug dealer or not every single life in this thing of ours can be useful and cause harm to an enemy. It only takes one gangster to shield an attacker to do great harm. Just because they seem to be homeless does not at all mean they are not willing to stay loyal to what everyone assumes was an oath till death and fight till the last breath or gain information by jumping the fence and seeking shelter under a new family while there are still guns going off. |

Let me start by saying that in no way am I a shot caller, or anyone with any clout, so this is strictly my opinion on the matter based on family experience and history. It is with my experience living this sort of life, that when you join a family, you commit your loyalty for better and for worse. Just because a member of a family is a low ranking individual, does not make them any less of a threat. Yes, I understand how a Don who is IWP might post a larger threat physically right now, then say a gangster who is Slightly Protected. However, that might not always be the case. You are asking GFs to welcome members who have pledged complete loyalty to another family/city, to accept those same members into their own families. Does this not pose a threat in any form? These young mafioso will eventually grow into very capable ones, and with a string of rogues as of late, we should all know how dangerous the lack of loyalty has become. WOuld you want to be looking over your shoulder for the rest of your days? Long story short, these young mafioso who died, were not innocent victims first and foremost. The pledged loyalty to a family, and sometimes it works, and sometimes it does not. Sometimes they take you to the top, and you make lots of money together and have lots of fun, and other times it ends how it unfortunately did for LV. You cannot demonize GFs for protecting their cities in the best way they know how. |

What I know of Las Vegas about peaceful that they didn't harm any or was a threat to any, could be wrong, they also were very good supporting in the out-taking of Seattle and then they were peacefully when it got to that? they showed their honor to be helpful back then.
Of course are all mobsters, cheaters, liars, and killers, that had all recent killing showed so I'm not surprised over anything anymore and really don't care, I just took a look and learned a lot by this as to all other wipe-outs happened lately.
Thanks for the good words on this Insta. |
