The bullets had finally stopped flying and Petah had hurried home to New York for some much-needed sleep and a change of clothes. The next morning he grabbed a few things and journeyed out to the streets, accompanied by 200 of his closest friends to where a crowd had gathered. People wanted an explanation for the previous night's events and it was his turn to explain why there had been more bloodshed. After a few minutes of searching for something to use as a stage, he hopped up on a bench and cleared his throat obnoxiously loud. 

Last night you all witnessed the fall of Detroit, this was not a decision that we came to quickly or made lightly but at the end of the day, it was something that needed to happen and for a few reasons.

First of all, Detroit was a threat. Should be pretty easy to grasp this one... they were a city full of talented hitters and they were only growing in skill and size by the day. This is all fine and great when everyone feels they can trust said city to work together with the rest of us, but that was not the overall impression we had of Detroit.

Detroit was a city set up by the now-deceased Godfather Angelo_Lagusa. Seeing as we had already removed Angelo and the rest of their allies we had little reason to believe that if Detroit had the chance they wouldn't retaliate. The general consensus among the leadership of Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Chicago and New York was that if we allowed Detroit to build much longer they would have the firepower required to do some serious damage to us as a group, and they wouldn't hesitate to use it.

I could go on and on about the questionable acts carried out by Detroit recently, the intercepted letters out of the city, and all of the rumors flying around but that wouldn't do anyone any good. To be completely honest as boring as it may sound none of that was why Detroit was removed anyway. Plain and simple they were a threat to our organization. 

All that said, none of us took any pleasure out of this last tonight. It was certainly not something any of us enjoyed, but put yourself in our shoes before you start bitching and complaining. What would you have done? Sat there idly and hoped they didn't attack you once they had the necessary firepower? If you're being honest with yourself most of you would have done the same thing... remove the perceived threat and ensure the safety of your people. 

Having said his piece Petah jumped down from the bench and headed back to the HQ for a much needed drink. 

Dean Winchester listens to the leader of the Big Apple speak about the take down of the Motor City, he listens and decides to speak a few words. So Dean moves over to stand alongside Petah and show the nation that the cities are united, once and for all.

"Everyone like my good friend here said we have no desire to pull the wool over your eyes. When the nation is aligned under one banner except for one small part that is growing stronger every day to a point where they may rival the collective unit why should they stand by and allow them to grow. It was simply a move of self preservation and bringing the entire nation under one single banner."

Dean the nods his head.

"For those who lost loved ones and family I am truly sorry for you we have all been there, I lost my mother at a young age. Don't harbor a grudge use this to drive you to be a better person and to help build something you parents would be proud of."

At the end of the day, Everyone is in it for themselves. If it means making up flimsy excuses to remove a particular city then so be it. What is the point of giving out reasons as to why a city was removed, when 99% of the time it is all bull crap..... The current leaders want to stay in charge and sooner or later they will turn on each other.

If I was in any city but Philadelphia right now I would be sweating bullets. Current pattern from Philly is wipe a city, spin it to be protecting the population at large, wipe another 2 cities, spin it as a pre-emptive protecting our people... I can't wait for the next one just to see if Louise will drop the facade & admit this is a purge regime. Given the concentration of hitters (& instigators cough JTG cough) in Detroit I can state with some certainty however strong the bond appears now, give it 4-5 weeks max & paranoia will kick in then  it will be bye-bye Detroit.

Now as for your prophecy about Detroit. Perhaps you aren't well versed in information much, goomba's rarely are. But Detroit came to the aid of the 4 cities involved in the takedown last night. They helped clean up any messes from the initial fight. And we don't take that lightly, since we know Chairman Insta had to fly in from his vacation. Any man willing to cut his vacation short to help out his friends is something to be noted. Now yes Detroit has roots with my fallen dear friend Bodfather, but even Insta was not oblivious to the workings of Chi/NY. And believe me, you don't have all the information pertaining to the matter being spoken off. And I wont divulge that either, since stepping on fallen men, isn't my cup of tea. Will say this though. In the end, GodFather Chairman Luis made a tough decision for the greater good. We had already lost friends in LV due to Tim's blood lust and the scourging then. And the blood in LV wasn't even dry yet and he wanted more. We couldn't have that. Wars aren't profitable, if anything they are bad for business. Any man that knows the Philly outfit or mine in LV now, knows were businessmen and anything that stops our cash flow is a problem.

"You all have had a chance to say your piece, and while I'm astonished by some of the comparing to recent regimes in the past, I can't say I don't blame anyone for wanting to step out here and voice their opinion, but perhaps you should do so while emotions are not running high.."

Luis stopped and took a gander at the crowd, still silent and waiting for more he could sense the anger, he would be too if his father was just gunned down.. But on that thought he continued...

"As Petah already said, this was not a act of bloodlust. You all speak up about Insta's gun as if you yourself KNEW his exact numbers, like If I knew his exact numbers.. All of that is meaningless when the matter of the fact was he was an Auth by a man I took as a perceived threat. Above you have a mail between Godfather Valencia of Philly and SirWinston (Odin) of Detroit, formerly Las Vegas.  (I don't know what brain trust tried to redact SirWinston's name from the mail but you can clearly see it where it says "Ignore SirWinston".  Fail.)

This is the exact same kind of life trading all those dastardly Leaders and groups used to do in the past that people have mentioned.  "If you kill X, you can join us".  The difference between those groups and people mentioned and this current regime is that those in the past actually kept their word.  Insta agreed to purge the aforementioned names  and still they give him the entire dick up to the hilt.  Now none of them will even fess up to being the ones that did it.  That I believe is partly the truth.  I don't think any single person made the call.  This is a collective in it's truest sense and they are in this for their select, powerful few and no one else.  They all did it in equal guilt.  

Anyone reading this should not believe they are safe.  Here you have Insta who bent over backwards and even killed his own at their behest to be a part of their collective.  All he got in return was a knife in the back.  Don't be as stupid as him.

Thank you for your explanation, Don Petah, though I'm at a loss why you felt that you needed to explain your actions!  You guys are Gods compared to the minions that are arguing against your reasons.  Why do you think they deserve to know the reasons for the takedowns?

At the end of the day, you have the power to do it, and you have a Family to protect!

As I said in the original speech it was a group decision, not sure why you want to come on here one-day-old crying and trying to lay blame on any single person. Is it really that hard to understand that a group of people had a discussion and came to a mutual agreement? Sorry for the loss of your father but trust me there wasn't one single person who was banging down the door trying to have them shot. 

As for Detroit shooting their own members that you keep bringing up. I specifically said that was not the reason for this. I only mentioned it because everyone knows it happened and there have been a lot of questions about it. Nobody 'pressured' or 'told' Insta to do anything. I can understand if maybe he was hoping those acts might save his ass, but he was certainly not told to do it. If someone is going to shoot members of their own upper-structure their kin coming back a month later blaming everyone else is a bad look tbh.
