You're 100% correct Spiral, it would be weak to blame the survivor if your translation of the events were true, but they are not and Blueface knows that, so I stand by everything I've said.

Briefly,

Ok so like the way I see it... Some rogues went-a-roguing. A CL thought it was smart to duel. The CL died. Some people scattered out of there, and then the rest of the city died for whatever reason in what seemed like a takedown.

There was never a takedown against Chicago that night. After Dean fell during his duel with Altuve, MeekMill and Huntersolomon felt that their lives would not last with their connection to philadelphia severed, and decided to rogue as well.

Once this event transpired, and they began shooting at us, we retaliated against the city as a whole. 

Fibber... You had plans to take out Chicago well before the rogue thing.

Translation: There were plans to take out Chicago, some found out and decided to take action before they died in their sleep. Once the CL's found out the situation, one decided to duel, the other CL asked Blueface to help defend the city and he said no and left. 

Well, now who is fibbing?

My guess is Blueface is just a self-preserving coward trying to extract sympathy and guilty of fibbing by lies of omission.
