Letter from the editorial board: 

Hello readers. We hope you are all having a fabulous day, night or at whatever time you're reading this! Just wanted to start off on a positive note and say how heavily intrigued we are by the street activity as of late. It has inspired us, the writers and editors of LVPS, to report our findings on certain matters as well as provide entertainment. Before you begin to flick through the pages, we kindly ask you to lower your standards. We definitely aren't the best in the newspaper business. We even hope to be as good as MrLouisT's Chicago Tribune and Rampage's Apple. 

Any questions, complaints or concerns should be brought up to Alessandra Korkunova. 

It should also be acknowledged that this newspaper may be discontinued any time after the first publication due to a number of reasons. But if all continues to go well, we may be back next week. 

One more thing - WE ARE HIRING! Our positions are exclusively available to LV residents only. If you would like to be a part of the LVPS editorial board, get in contact and we'll start the recruitment process to see if you're fit for the organization.

In which we discuss a recent discussion or story!

The power of words.

Last week, New York's very own Desiderio hopped on a soapbox to address the subject of storytelling in this thing of ours. He was concerned with whether the stories that were being told from other mobsters' lips actually represented the true life of a mafioso. The concern of whether the stories spoken even related to the life of crime that many of us live was brought up as well.

"Stories are a powerful thing," Desiderio says just before he starts to get into their profound impact on individuals. He then progressed to a cautionary tone as he began to talk more about the "the trend lately".

Storytelling remains a powerful way to draw attention to political issues and other valued things, but Desidero takes the time to point out that it may be just a tool for people to exploit. As many members of the mafia are aware, any contribution to the streets reap rewards. This may be a problem for some people who are particuarly concerned with people talking about whatever-the-fuck while receiving monetary gifts.

Desiderio posed his last question for the community, "Are we not more interested in stories of the mafioso among us?". As anticipated, a number of people became alert by Desiderio's thoughts and decided to converse with him. Here is a snippet of what went down: 

Agimat starts off strong as he expresses his dissatisfaction. 

"For me Boss, I like listening to any stories but it doesn't mean I find them interesting." 

He gradually changes into a more positive tone as he encourages others to make their presence known in the streets so that they may be heard. 

Then there waws @Charlie__Pavanno who appeared to be brutally cynical as he responded in a defensive manner, unable to comprehend the reason for the attack on storytellers. 

"Storytellers, we all wish to do what we want and not feel like we are being pushed down into the ground due to certain reactions."

A mini controversy seemed to spiral as it was brought to Desiderio's attention that Harlow had voiced her thoughts on the same subject he had spoken on. However, her thoughts were of the opposing side. She is quick to clear it up with this, 

"The truth is that I didn't recall seeing this discussion on my recent visits to the streets."

Desiderio may have caused mixed reactions from the people. But after all that was said and done, coming out to the streets to present a debatable topic is quite commendable. It should remind us and you, the reader, that there is one thing that continues to remain consistent within this community to a fault.

COMMUNITY TALK
Giving people the chance to be heard.

This is when we get to interact closely with the community. The interviewee is free to be as serious or as comedic as they like. We interview all sorts of people and RANKS! From Thug to even Godfather-Chairman. Today though, we had the pleasure of interviewing Made Man Premier. Quite a lad, isn't he? And yes - all participants understand that their answer will be recorded word-for-word. 

The first thing we wanted him to do is give the people a formal introduction of who he is, what he stands for and how he became the man he is today. Here is what he gave us: 

"Most people call me prem or premier, my family line has been around just about longer than anyone I know. What I stand for and how I became the man I am today, I figured when I meet God I'll tell him I was framed."

As we started to become more intrigued with his personality, the next thing we wanted to know is how he got recruited into The Bunny Ranch. 

"I did what everyone else does and apply and talk to that leader. Based on my journals I recognized the name Jimmythelionheart. He was a great person and came up often in my family's journal. I will always respect the family line of -CENSORED NAME FOR PRIVACY REASONS-. He never did anything against me and I will never disrespect him or his family line and do something against him. He is legit a good person. 

Based on my family's timeline and my history, I have done things and people have done things against me. 

Jimmy has never done anything to me to get even or spiteful."

Very interesting. So there seems to be a solid connection between the two. Next we asked if he could look through old journals and tell us what was the hardest decision he has had to make. 

"The hardest decision was - am I going to change with the times or be myself. And I found more often than not I can't turn on myself."

He has been around for a long time as he said so it just seemed right that we asked if he could provide any advice to new crewleaders. To those who are maybe a CL for the first time or to those who are thinking of becoming one. 

"Giving advice to a new crewleader is hard, because I never wanted to be a crewleader.

I have been Godfather twice, and leader multiple times. I told people and even myself, that I only took crew leader to get myself the ability to kill more people, then I realized I was wrong every time, because I found I loved helping people vs hurting them. And as much as I loved killing and hurting, the ability to move people forward is what being a leader really is.

...And it turned into me trying to prove I wasn't a bad guy."

After much serious talk, we decided to end the interview with a playful question - what is your favourite food? - which actually earned quite a terrifying response from him. 

"People." 

Aaaand there you go, folks! I advise that people should probably stay indoors whenever he is out just in case he eats you up. Anywho, I thank Premier for letting us speak with him on such short notice.

GAMBLING CORNER
Keeping up with the addicts. 

Here in Las Vegas, going to the casino is just as good as going to an amusement park. Whether it's blackjack, roulette or dice, we love to have some fun. Us, the editorial board, decided to ask some members from LV about their gambling habits. We received some interesting comments. 

Don @Wayne: “I absolutely do not gamble, ever. Most of the money I get is from donations. On principle I do not gamble member's money."

that is VERY good to hear, wayne. dice is the devil anyways.

Earner Katy: "the only gambling I do is betting when Wayne is fighting"

Don Brutus: "I don't gamble, honestly; I have terrible luck with it."

understandable. alot of people don't gamble for the same reasion. but hey, why dont you come with me to the casino next time and let's work on that gambling addiction!!

Consigliere AndrewYang: "I probably wouldn't be an interesting source. I don't gamble. In fact, I have no gambling history at all this run. Sheer discipline!"

I can't wait to see what's next. Everyone has their own style when it comes to newspaper organizations..

Also if I were to give any criticism, it would be in the form of a suggestion. Might be nice to see an obituary section. Though, that is just my two cents.

Also for the example above you wrote as a response on your "Newspaper" it seems that "HoW MaNy NeWsPaPeRs HaVe YoU WrItTen" is your only go to comeback.
