To a gamer, surely the console matters more. Quite honestly, if you are playing a game and not interested in every aspect of the game (Music), why play the game at all? The music in a game is a part of the experience. Hell, think of playing Mario without it's classic retro music and annoying sounds? It wouldn't be Mario.

My point so it would be wise for Game producers to allow gamers the chance to customize certian parts of the game to fit their liking.With music its so hard to make everybody happy; so many differnt genres artist and selections.

And if your  hardgamer like me then you get tired of the same old music everytime you pop in your game of choice.

However this doesn't go for everygame who the hell will play mario without the sounds. Then again some may think i like this game but the noises it pushes out my tv hurts my brain... turn it off. And I wouldn't play CoD with my music in the background that would throw off my game i need to focus. But when i'm dooing 150 laps around a 3 point turn circuit i'll wanna hear something worth listinging to with is why i play my racing games on my 360, i would love to play on the ps3 i mean gt5 would kick ass with the graphics. But i just cant listen to the same music everyday.

Trus me it's coming soon the first console to sign a contract with apple just like netflix will push pass the other system hopefully it's ps3 to do it. Sony and Apple or Microsoft and Apple which will it be.

Kinect isn't all that its cracked up to be...grant it that Kinect boosts the Xbox up there, but to say that overall Xbox surpasses the PS3...it doesnt mesh lol

I use to always be an Xbox lover since the first day it came out. Started playing my friends PS3 the other month and noticed how much better it really was than xbox. You get free internet to play against other people. On xbox you have to pay for it monthly. You get all the same capabilities on both systems except ps3 is free and it can also play blu-ray movies.

So my decision has been moved to PS3 and I am not sad to say that.

Honestly, Sony the company is far superior to Microsoft but so many users willing to pay money use X-Box that its recent surpassing of Play Station a couple years ago when the Elite series got rid of most of the hardware problems and is guaranteed to increase its superiority (unfortunately) with better financial backing for its games and online systems. Fifty bucks a year isnt much, especially if everyone pays it and it severely ups the quality of the games and online quality. I'd love to switch to sony but the fans arent willing to pay money, so Sony got passed by X-Box and wont catch up again until it pulls funds from other profitable parts of its organization, or it charges people to use their online systems because X-Box is coming up with new software updates seemingly ever other week.

PS I miss God of War, Resistance (Which is the best comparison to Halo based on gameplay, funding and Graphics and RAPES Halo), and Ratchet and Clank :*(

Xbox 360 is far superior to PS3. First, the games. Halo, Gears of War, Crackdown, and many more. Oh, and before you all say "Crackdown isn't shit" or "Halo sucks" This is because you don't have a fucking xbox 360. If you had one, you would like these games, as they are exclusives and they are fucking awesome.

As for the online, if you paid monthly for your online on your xbox, your a mug. You were getting ripped off, if you buy the year all at once, it costs less, and to be quite fucking honest, £40 a year is fuck all. If you can't afford £40 a year, you live in poverty.

Another point on the online, the experience on 360 is a shit load better. Someone said that PS3 has more players on it? Are you serious? The xbox sold a LOT more units than the PS3, and it has a LOT more online players. This makes the online experience a shit ton better on the 360.

Now, I stayed with a friend of mine for around 6 months last year, and he has a PS3, although he doesn't play it much. There was me thinking "You know what, I'll give it a go and actually see if it's good or bad" I played it a fair bit for the 6 months, gave it MORE than enough chances. My verdict? It's pretty terrible. My mate was a very low level on cod, so I had the shitty weapon, yet I was still able to completely own in every game I played, even though the controllers must be made for a 7 year old. The left analog stick is in a stupid place, whereas the xbox controllor sits PERFECTLY in your hands, and you are able to control both analog sticks with complete ease, not the case for the PS3.

This was all before Kinect even came out. Now the 360 has Kinect, that is yet another reason why it is superior to the PS3. The PS3 tried to copy Kinect with the PS Move. Complete fucking fail. You may as well have the Wii. The xbox, no controllor with Kinect, move your body and the xbox knows what you are doing, whereas with the PS3 you have to hold some shitty microphone looking crap the whole time. Plus, voice commands while watching DVD's. Does the PS3 do that? No it doesn't.

Therefore, Xbox 360 > PS3. Always has, always will.

The simple fact of the matter is XBox fails becasue it went all in with HD DVD.  This restricts its games to around 7GB.  The PS3 however went with BluRay which the ever incresing capacity of a BluRay disk PS3 games will be capable of vastly more content than anything Xbox can throw at it.

Another advantage of the PS3 is that it's the only console that is fully 3D capable.

You can play Black Ops in 3D on the 360...

I would agree 100% that the Xbox online community is way better than PS3. They have experienced players at all times and its fun. However, for somebody who does not play online often, against experienced players, why would I want to go online, get my head shot off as soon as I step into the game, and continue to pay monthly for something that I can get for free at the PS3 community?

If you think about it, take away Gears, Halo, and COD from the Xbox online, and what else do you have to support the online community? Not much. At least with the PS3, if they take away COD, Resistance, and Killzone, you can try new games and communities for free, instead of wasting money on something you may not enjoy.

As for the dynamics of the hardware itself, I believe in this day and age that if you can't play Blu-Ray on any system, you're getting left behind. For all the money that Xbox receives from the online subscriptions, you would think that they would invest certain amount in upgrading their system to Blu-Ray capabilities.

I'm not big into the Blu-Ray scene really. Yes I can see a major difference when I watch something on blu-ray high definition, but I just don't care for it. Personal preference. The PS3 has its advantages with the option of the Blu-Ray player and the integrated wi-fi, with the xbox integrated wi-fi, I'm happy with my system.

The main GAMING difference is the online gaming experience. You pay to play xBox live and in my personal experience the online gaming there is more challenging and diverse.

As an online computer gamer, I've played World of Warcraft for years and have tried similar games with free online play. I don't know what it is, and its not a 'wallet justification syndrome' but the pay online gaming is so much better than the free.

If and when the Playstation online gaming network gains the popularity, challenge and diversity of the xbox live world, one of two things will happen: Microsoft will have to evaluate and justify their price for online gaming, or Playstation will wake up and begin charging.

But as always, these threads are matters of opinions. If you prefer the games/experience of the Playstation, that's the best console.

Personally, I prefer the xbox.
