Another day in paradise. Vincent had many things to do today, meetings with business partners, arrangements with his own associates.. so he needed something to drink. He heard about this Athena's Cafe from a friend and decided to take a closer look at it. Hee entered the spot and took a seat. Waitress lady came and asked what a gentleman would like to have. Vincent looked at her, she was beautiful woman, in her 20's he thought to himself. 
"I would like to have a cup of coffee with some sugar and milk in it please." 
Waitress wrote it down and thanked. She went to prepare the order and Vincent pulled out a pack of cigarettes and lighted one up. Waitress came back and brought his order. Vincent thanked her politely and gave her a little tip. She smiled thanked back and continued servicing other customers. Vincent sat there for an hour or so, then paid for order and left. He liked that place, he'll be probably back oneday.

Mercury found herself in Detroit with plenty of time to spare. The early flight was a nuisance but it has left her with plenty of time to get her work done. First things first though. Mercury needed fuel. She hailed a cab and had them drop her off in Bricktown on Main Street. She began looking at here options. They were sparse. Mercury walked up a few blocks and finally found something that looked promising.

Athena's Cafe

Mercury crossed the street and peered in the window. There was a scattering of people seated and a couple people waiting on take away orders. Mercury walked in and took a seat. The waitress appeared with a menu in one hand and a pot of coffee in the other.

Would you like coffee? the waitress asked as she handed Mercury the Breakfast Menu.

Sure, thanks I replied. 

The waitress turned the coffee mug on the table over and poured a cup. I'll give you time to look over the menu, she said.

Mercury sipped her coffee as she read the menu. It wasn't anything special. She decided what she wanted and waited the waitress over.

I'd like an Orange Juice, a Breakfast Scramble with bacon hold the toast, two sides of back (can you have too much bacon? she thought as she said it) and a Raspberry Muffin. 

Coming right up! the waitress said. She bounced off to the kitchen and put Mercury's order on a spindle for the cook.

Mercury has seen a newsstand just outside. She stepped outside and got the daily paper then returned to her table. As she read the headlines, a waitress came around and refreshed her coffee. There wasn't anything interesting in the news. Soup kitchens were overwhelmed. The homeless number was on the rise. Robberies were on the rise.

Mercury was losing interest in the news when the waitress came with her order. Thanks, Mercury said. She ate her meal. It was better than expected, especially the Raspberry Muffin. The waitress stopped by with her check and Mercury went to the counter. She paid the check and left a substantial tip for her waitress. Mercury was feeling more energized. She headed into the streets with a plan.

The Greek entered Athena's Café he wanted to toss some business into a fellow Greek establishment.  He looked around and notice a very nice looking woman leaving as he bumped into the table he was suppose to be sitting at.  He shook his head as Mercury looked over at the man.  he tried to play it off as if he wanted to move the table over but by her smirk he knew she saw him walk into it.  He sat and ordered a cup of coffee and a glazed donut as he read his morning paper.  Agot and Stephano sat next to him.  

As Mercury walked the streets of Detroit, she kept looking in storefront glass and pausing in entryways to see if she had been followed. A man she had found out was called The-Greek seemed to be everywhere she was. He was even at her Yacht Club. Did this man have an interest in her business? Was he having her followed? Was he dangerous to her? Mercury was unsure. 

She looked for a business to duck into. Something scarcely populated so she could determine if her anxiety was valid. There had to be something to this didn't there?

Mercury finally found the perfect place. She went inside and seated herself to where she could view the back entrance and the traffic outside. She asked for a newspaper as she had thrown the other away. She waited ...

He was starting to feel like a stalker or was she stalking him he was unsure but they kept seeing each other so he made a few calls to see if anyone he knew, knew her.  She was connected to a family out in Philly she had a few connection with people in Detroit too.  He told the guys the next time they run into her he was going to speak to her but he would want them around just incase she was there to punch his ticket to the great here after.  He knew in his line of work its always a friend or cute face that comes to kill ya and Mercury had the face.   

Vincent was a bit in a hurry but he still found some time to come to Athenas coffee and grab one. He walked in and took a seat. Ordered himself a cup of fresh coffee with some milk and sugar. While waiting for the order he lighted up a cigarette. Saw some newspapers on the table, he read them. Wall Street was making a very good week. Few new businesses were open in Detroit. A minutes later the waitress came and brought his drink. Vincent thanked her and gave her a little tip. She was pleased and thanked him for that. The coffee was very delicious. When he finished it he paid for the order and continued his walk.

Quadir walked into Athena's Cafe he was seated at a table with his two friends.  Quadir ordered Coffee, 3 pieces of French toast with butter and syrup, six strips of bacon, two scrambled eggs and a glass of Orange juice.  He lights up a cigar as they two men with him place their orders.  Quadir was back in the motor city and he had business to conduct.    

Quadir needed to get to Baltimore and speak with Big Hank and his crew.   They were short and the product was not going to be delivered until Big Hank paided the balance as agreed.  Quadir knew that Big Hank thought he could run over everyone because of his size and love of violence.  Quadir perferred to do business with Peter Wack or Easy Lee they used common sense and appeared to understand business economic and the risk factures.  

He sent Day-Day and Cheeta ahead to secure lodgings and the tools of their trade in case things truly do go south.  Quadir would bring Vic and Keith after a few more of their guys arrive a day before Quadir.  Quadir needed to show that not paying back the promissory note with was the first load which was given to them on consignment.  Quadir would have to deal with Big Hank and put Peter wack in charge and smooth things out with Easy Lee.  

Theo Galoban wanted to meet TBJ at the Athena's Cafe.  He wanted to talk business.  Joker's men got there first and watched the front and back and inside the joint.  Galoban arrived on time and then the Joker walked in after Pennywise and Bozo.  Ronald McDonald was also there he was outside passing out burgers and Krusty was in the kitchen watching everyone cooking. 

Galoban wanted to talk truce and asked that they work together.  Joker laughed and told him that he understand the deal.  That Galoban wanted to play monopoly however he was expecting The Joker's reaction when he landed on the Joker's Property.  Galoban understood that for every action taken against the Joker the Joker responded with ten attacks blowing up everything and taking nothing at all.  Then Galoban had his men guarding the building entrance gates where the money they had collected and then watched as the Joker's men cut a hole in the roof open dropped a cargo net and took all three safe's and flew away.     

Joker dranked his tea and then looked at Theo and smiled and told him no.  He wasn't going to stop until he has wiped the Theo and everyone he loves off the fucking map.  

Joker walked in and sat down at the same table as Chromatik.   She called the meet she wanted to know his skill set with Tyler's people running wild no one wants him at the head of the table.  She wanted him to keep his nose clean and not to go after Tyler's operations.  He looked at her and nodded but then he thought about it their gangsters was she saying that as a double meaning.  She was hard to figure out.  Then she order lunch for them both as she told him to keep his eyes open when on the streets.  

She had the ear of the boss so he knew to follow her directions, yet she was also ruthless she had a dozen men surrounding her in the shop and a few more outside.  Joker felt safe because of all her security.  They ate and talked about a great many things and how she was going to take a trip across the pond and visit the England and tour Ireland and Scottland and then check Spain and France out before a quick stay in Italy.  Joker asked if he could join her she looked at him and laughed.  Joker smiled and said she could use one more bodyguard and its a fair question.  

She looked at him quzzled and said that he needed to earn more fucking money she can't waste her time with broke boys and she dam sure wasn't footing his bill.  then she thanked him for buying lunch.  Joker laughed again.  He paid and said that a real boss move, you select the meeting location invite me to have lunch then make me pay.  She smiled and said you didn't know the young bucks always take it on the arm when they want a face meeting with the leadership.
