Michigan's Eckerd Pramacy - Store # 1007 Started by: Devante on Feb 21, '20 01:29

Eckerd was founded in September 1898 (making it the oldest of the big drugstore chains), by 27-year-old J. Milton Eckerd and Z. Tatom in Erie, Pennsylvania.  In the company's early years, it operated as the Erie Cut-Rate Medicine Store. In 1917, Eckerd and Tatom sold their original store to an old man named Charles Dailey who sold it to his great grandson Devante Santino.  Devante moved the store's headquarters to Largo Florida. Just outside of Tampa.  This Drug store also sells the following items.

Ice cream scoops 5 cents each.

Soda Pop 5 cents a bottle.

Hotdogs 7 cents each 10 cent with Chili

Hot bowl of Chili or soup 10 cents

Hot or cold sandwiches 15 cents each

Based on face value, each Eckerd store appears legitimate, however certain stores Pharmacist that came up from Colombia or Florida carry unique items to sell to special customers.   Of three products quality products sold under the table each comes from Devante’s plantations.   Opium, Heroin and Cocaine can be purchased to the special clientele but only if they have been vetted by the Trafficante family or the Galindo Cartel who in turn will make arrangements with Devante.

Devante was excited with his first shipment to arrive to see how fast the product will roll out to the Detroit combination and the Purple Gang.  Devante was walking around with Carlos and Manny.  Oscar was ensuring that the product arrived without issues.  Devante spoke with the accountant for the Cartel.  She was a tough woman and as his mother she taught him many things about business and shady people and how they operate.  Devante looked over all the inventory in the store and was happy with the quality.  They went to the lunch counter and they ordered chili dogs and a soda.  They sat and talk and as they finished the truck arrive and Oscar walked in and said sixty six kilos were given to the pharmacist.

Dick had a bit of a headache from all the travel and everything else that was going on. Stumbling upon the drugstore was a welcomed sight as he made his way down the streets of Detroit heading towards the buy.

Wandering through the isles for a bit until he found the bottle of aspirin and scooped it up with a half smile, “This should do nicely.” He said out loud to no one in particular.

Dick fished a few bills out of his pocket as he made his way to the register, passing them over when he reached it and tucked the change as well as the pills back into his pocket before heading back towards his destination.

Nomad had just left the coffee shop next door and still with coffee in hand thought he had forgotten his snack for the journey, he darted into the drug store selling foods aswell any pharmaceutical needs.

The hot dogs where in a hot cupboard with a window, thinking he'd rather not know how long they'd been there Nomad just got out his money and took the nearest to him with extra onions.

"many thanks my man keep the change"

By this point Nomad was now running late for his bus to the airport

Devante walked into his Michigan store and check out the product that was flowing through the store.  The store push three kilos a day to their seven days a week.  It was making more money then it could store and clean.  Devante knew that he would have to open four more branches if he wanted to see the full potential.  He smiled because they store was very busy.

Joe entered the pharmacy, he had heard that you could get some special "meds" here. It had been a rough couple of days and he still had lots of business in Motor City so he wanted something that could keep him on his toes.

Walking up to the pharmacist he addressed him.

My good man, i have had a busy few days. And i still have quite a few business arrangements on the next 24 hours, so i am looking for something to keep me up and sharp?

I had an easy enough first night in Chicago, albeit a sleepless one. I was never expecting it to be so difficult finding someone to take me in but after testing the waters of a few places, I found one that seemed to fit, at least for the moment. I was hurriedly introduced to everyone and quickly given my first task. There were cheap booze in Detroit and it was my job to procure them. It seemed easy enough but from everything I had heard, nothing around here was ever easy.

The sleepless night caught up to me rather swiftly, unfortunately, as I felt the dull ache of a headache starting to form behind my eyes. The last thing I needed now was a migraine to kick in, especially during my first job for the family. As soon as I stepped off of the train, I looked for the nearest drug store, somewhere I could find something to take the edge off a bit but still keep my wits about me. I certainly wasn’t in any position to fuck up my first deal, that could have meant a lifetime of being condemned to the basement, so to speak, something that I would do anything to avoid.

The store was nearly empty except for a few workers that were milling about, trying to look busy. They both looked up with a forced smile as I walked in before turning their attention back to whatever it was that they were doing. Browsing the shelves for a moment or two, I found what I was looking for and made my way to the register up front. I placed the small white bottle down before pulling a few bills and coins from my pocket, placing them on the counter before sliding them forward with two fingers. With a polite nod and feigned smile, I stuffed the small white bottle into my pocket before heading back out into the Detroit streets.

Tommy was visiting some of his family holdings in Detroit and as he reviewed the books and looked over the shop he was pleased, then he reviewed the real ledgers and nodded to the manager.  He smiled as he understood how the shop operated and the amount of business it was doing.  He then went to the counter and ordered two scoops of chocolate ice cream and a root beer soda.  He made himself a float and enjoyed the treat.  Sosa and Carlo had check the inventory and reported that everything was on track.  They ordered a burger and fries with a soda.  Once they all were do eating they departed.

The Greek walked into Eckerds looking for the manager.  The old man walked out to meet him and escort him into the office.  They spoke for about two hours before the deal was reached.   The Lucchese's agreed to allow The Greek to resupply the shop with his Heroin and soon coke.  The Greek would ship them once a month and it would be enough to last them for six weeks to incase their sales increase.  The Greek then walked out to the sales floor counter and ordered a chocolate milk shake.    He made plans to go to Chicago and meet with Big Jim and his nephew Johnny.  Charles and Meyers were making purchases for the tri state area.

Mel has never seen a drug store that also sells food. It is her first time seeing one.

"I wonder how that soup tastes."

She orders a bowl of hot soup.

"That'll be 10 cents."

Mel makes her payment and sits down to enjoy it.

"Mmm...not bad."

Adrian was still in the Pramacy when he stopped a lady by the name of Meliodass walked in.  She sat at the counter and ordered a bowl of soup. He looked at the server and gave a nod as he then looked at some of the stock sold on the sales floor.  He looked at the prices and the quality and smiled as the prices were low but the quality was high.  Repeat business was the goal.

Taiga had heard around the grapevine that Eckerd Pramacy was dealing high quality and reasonably priced Opium. She had a group of "businessmen" coming in from China the following day, and it was clear what they wanted as welcome gifts -- spoiler alert, it isn't a bottle of champagne and a merry song. The only problem is that Eckerd Pharmacy was notorious for being highly exclusive; only those trusted by the elusive Trafficante family or the Galindo Cartel could get access to those quality drugs. Unfortunately, despite her best efforts, she couldn't seem to track down the remaining members of the crews in question, so she decided she'd instead go a different way about this.

Walking into the pharmacy, she saw a woman in her 40s manning the counter with a bored look on her face. Walking up to her and plopping a heavy duffel bag on the desk, Taiga smiled sheepishly. "Hello, Miss, I'm here to--"

"Let me guess," she looked at Taiga with a cocked eyebrow. "You want to buy drugs but don't know the owners. So you think you can bribe me with cash. The answer is no."

"But--" Taiga started before the woman put up a hand. "No."

Scoffing and rolling her eyes, Taiga was gathering her things when the woman's eyes wandered to something that caught her attention: Taiga's lucky emerald ring. The very same she'd killed for and paid thousands of dollars for in the past just to retrieve it whenever it went astray. "Now that's a nice looking ring. Give it to me and you have yourself a deal." Taiga let out a high-pitched whine as even the thought of parting with the ring physically pained her. But then again, being tortured by Chinese mobsters would probably hurt more, so she decided to give the ring to the woman, knowing that it will eventually find its way back to her later.

After the deal was done, Taiga looked at the ring which was on the lady's finger -- which by the way, was too fat for the ring to even fit properly. "I'll see you soon." she whispered to her ring. "Huh?" the woman asked in confusion.

"I said," Taiga looked her dead in the eye and smiled deviously. "I'll see you soon."

After a long day of running around town acting as a translator for some high-off-their-asses Chinese mobsters, Taiga would normally go back to her hotel and soak in a nice, hot bath until she fell asleep, but she had one more thing to check off her to-do list today. Arriving at the pramacy minutes before it was due to close, she spotted the woman who stripped her of her ring packing up her things and watching her co-workers leave. It was Taiga's lucky day as she was set to close the pramacy, so she'd get her all alone. Night had fallen and the darkness would make for a good cover for what she was about to do.

With light footsteps, she crept up to the back entrance of the pramacy where the woman was locking up. As soon as she finished, Taiga pounced on her like a lioness hunting her pray -- perhaps in her case, a tigress would be a better analogy. Pinning her to the wall with a knife against her throat, Taiga smiled at the woman sweetly. "Hello. I told you I'd see you soon."

Tears were streaming down her face and Taiga immediately felt bad. The woman was pleading for her life. "Just take it, take the ring please. Spare my life, please, I've got children!" Taiga forced the ring off of the woman's finger and slid it onto hers. She reached into her coat pocket for something and the woman must have thought it was a gun for she winced and started praying.

"Hey, open your eyes." Taiga said softly, lowering the blade from her throat and stroking her shoulder in a comforting manner. The woman shook her head no and kept her eyes shut, so Taiga took her shaking hand and slid a brand new emerald ring on it. "It's exactly the same. I just.. this particular one just means a lot to me. But we had a deal, so I'm just replacing it with something worth even more as this one hasn't been worn yet -- plus, it's in your size."

The woman opened her eyes and in place of fear, anger replaced it. "Are you fucking insane?! Why hold a knife to my throat then? You're a damn psycho!" She screamed at Taiga while she was running away.

"Wait, I just knew you'd get spooked if you saw me so I had to--" Taiga called out to her, trying to chase her down but ultimately giving up. She felt bad, yes, but not as bad as she would've if she didn't get her ring back. Smiling as she looked at her finger, she was once again complete -- merrily skipping down the dark alleyway with a knife in her hand like a psycho.

Adrian sat down with the staff as he got wind of the events that took place in his store.  He explain that lisa passed away.  That she was involed in matter that wasn't part of this stores functions.  She took something that wasn't her's and sold things that wasn't hers and going forward they were all safe.  The customers that have prescriptions must only pick up their prescriptions and any one wanting something other than that must see the pharmacist.  They they can call him if they fear any customers walking in.  Then Adrian informed the staff that his number is on the back wall.

There was a lack of food in Sisyphus' stomach which would need to be fixed in the next five minutes or else he would go fucking insane, this was of course hyperbole but it was close enough to the truth. Which is why he stepped into a pharmacy after smelling hot dogs, this was the best idea he had in a while because they also seemed to have chili.

This was a very strange place to be sure, but a welcome one.

"I'll take all of your food options."

Placing down a few dollars onto the counter, the food was brought out to him promptly and he began eating right then and there in front of everyone who was currently shopping. Now was not the time to be pleasant.

Mercury was in need of a pain killer when she stumbled (literally) upon Eckerd Pharmacy Store # 1007. She had strained her shoulder in a recent move. Mercury went inside the pharmacy. She walked to the counter.

Yes, I need morphine. I'm in real pain! she said. The Pharmacist went to get the morphine. He came back with two bottles.

Take three drops every 3 hours as needed, he told her. You should consider getting that looked at.

Yea, thanks for the advice,  she replied. She paid for the medicine and took the bottles. As she was leaving she took 6 drops. She swayed a little and went outside. She was glad Michael was there with the car. The morphine is strong! She had Michael take her to the Detroit Yacht Club so she could rest. She needed to find Rain but that would have to wait.

After working out in the gym, vGoddess is hungry and needs some energy. There aren't many shops around selling food and she only comes across a drug store selling some. Having no other choice, she buys a sandwich from the shop to eat on her way back to the hotel.

Sisyphus was SICK! Sick of being sick, and that's why in his sickened state he made his way slowly over the pharmacy where he loaded up on every type of pill and super wellness pill that he could afford. Going over to the counter he spilled all of the contents towards the man standing behind it and grinned wildly, there must be over four thousand dollars here! This was immense, but the man knew not to look a gift horse in the mouth and accepted it all.

"How will you pay today, sir?"

"Pay? I thought it was free?!"

Shocked by the fact that he would need to spend actual cash on everything here, he threw a fit right then and there. This would just not do, he thought to himself in a seething rage. I cannot be expected to actually pay for all of this, but that's also exactly what he had to do and so sucking it up he threw a few hundred dollars onto the counter.

"But sir there's a lot more than that worth here... you can't just pay whatever you want, there's prices for a reason..."

Now he was even more upset than before! How dare this place tell him he couldn't have it not only not for free, but full priced as well! There would be hell to pay, or at least in his mind there was... but begrudgingly the rest of the cash was set down on the counter and he parted ways with all of this medicine that he quite honestly didn't even need.

Shame.

Humu swerved into the pharmacy, sick to his airsacks, he must be having some kind of episode. Keeping his balance was near impossible and he felt that without having been in his landsuit, people would have found him hanging upside down in the water. Which as everyone knows is not a good position for a fish to be in. So he muscled his way to the counter and pleaded to the shopkeeper

Please provide me with some pills, i believe the ones that help with trapped air in the body should do the trick. I'll have a triple dosage for now please!!

Devante was finally in his pramacy store, he looked over the books and was proud of how much product moved through the establishment and the money was clean.  He reviewed the desposits and to Beans that his family was happy.  He looked at his watch and realized that the next load will be arriving in the morning and they needed to eat.  Sosa was arriving in an hour so they would have him meet them at the resturant.
