After a long waiting period and lots of planning Nighttrid had finally reached the time when he could open the doors to his Airline and Cargo service. After years of planning and obtaining the right permits, it was time to have a legitimate enterprise. This was the first step for Nighttrid to expand his reach and he needed something to front so that the rest could be hidden.

At the same time Nighttrid had also been working on making contacts to further build his empire. Travelling across the country he had met with many known personalities, one of them being #Rain. Rain had a very interesting business proposition for Nighttrid and some talks were held but the finalizing of events was left. Nighttrid was waiting for Rain to make contact so they could finalize the details of their operations.

Nighttrid had still lot left to do as this was just the first location he had opened and he had planned to setup in every city throughout the country which he knew would take time but sooner or later it would be done.

But for now it was time to open the doors and let the Business begin.

I had been a long time since Rain had seen her good friend Nighttrid. She was so excited about the fact that he had obtained all his aviation certificates and permits.  She had to call in a few favors for him which all panned out.  Now he had now acquired  a beautiful fleet of private  and cargo airplanes and she had a trusted friend to add to the operation.

She and Big Moe made their way to the Wayne County Airport at the corner of Middlebelt Road and Wick Road to the terminal that housed Night Airlines and Cargo Services.  When you first walk in there’s a small ticket counter with 3 reservation and ticket agents. Rain walked up to the counter, introduced herself and told one she was there to meet with Nighttrid.  They were expecting her and escorted them into his business office.  Seated behind a large desk was the proud Nighttrid. He greeted Rain and Big Moe with a warm welcome hug and offered them a seat.   He then offered them a drink which Big Moe accepted but Rain declined, was a little early for her. They first sat and talked about old times, sharing some good memories and then got down to business.

Nighttrid knew all about her operations transporting cocaine from Colombia to the states.  Although Rain had secured flight permits for from the Miami airport to Techo International Airport in Bogota she wasn’t ready for Nighttrid to take the risk yet.   As Big Moe sipped on his drink he explained that they would need Nighttrid to pick up the cargo once it cleared customs in Miami, this way he was cleared of any liability.    The first shipment in about two weeks would weigh approximately 840 pounds, 60 coffee containers weighing 14 pounds each.  Each coffee container held 10 pounds of product and 4 pounds to coffee to disguise it.  The entire shipment would be flown to Detroit first, and then 30 containers weighting 420 pounds would be flown to Chicago.  A truck will meet the plane at the airport and transport the shipment to the Colombian Cafes in both locations.

Rain then explained that they took all precautions to not jeopardize his business.  Once clearing customs in Miami he had no liability at all for the contents of the cargo. She then told him that a lot of money could be made if he decided to transport the shipment out of Bogota but the risk was a lot greater.  She told him that right now the operation was running smoothly out of Bogota, but it’s a foreign country and shit can happened.  There have been some close calls but Big Moe and Rain had a lot of good connections there.

Rain watched while Nighttrid took a few notes.  She told him how a lot of pressure would be off them with using his services instead of commercial airlines out of Miami, she then waited for his thoughts.

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $20,000 Tip
Nighttrid was pleased to meet Rain and Big Moe after a long time, he was very excited for the opportunity that awaited him and the possibilities that would come with it.
Nighttrid already knew the basis of the operation and only just needed to hear from Rain the details and how everything would run on his side, Nighttrid was indeed a numbers man and once Raid provided all the figures everything made sense. After listening to Rain everything was clear and he couldn't wait to start because at the end of the day money and loyalty was everything and he had loyalties and the money was starting to roll.

Nighttrid told Raid that he was ready to pick up the load from Miami airport and he greatly appreciated her efforts for making sure everything was secured and that none of the liability would fall on Nighttrid but at the same time told her that being in the business that we are in what is a little risk and that he was willing to take the risk if it meant a payday.

Nighttrid eagerly told Rain that he was very interested in running the shipment from Bogota and he wished he was there from the start to help her but better late than never, Nighttrid could always see opportunity and this was definitely a great one based on Rain's vision and he told Rain that he would be interested in even expanding her reach so she could become the main supplier on our side of the world.
Nighttrid pages to call Dex in, Nighttrid explained that Dex was his go to guy and that they could trust him with making sure everything was running smoothly. As Dex entered, Nighttrid introduced Dex to Rain and Big Moe.
Nighttrid asked Raid to inform him of what the next step was as he had already lined up the Cargo plains and security for her shipment and assured her that what ever and where ever she needed shipment it would get there safe and sound.
Report Post Tip

Rain knew that Nighttrid couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make the money involved in Bogota.   With him running the operation there now it was going to be more lucrative and knowing she had such a trusted person was going to make all the difference in the world.  She trusted the people she already had set up but having Nighttrid was going to make all the difference in the world. It was going to take a little time for Nighttrid to get familiar with the people in Bogota and learn the in and outs.  We would have to ease him into the operation so not to cause any hard feelings for the ones currently running the operation, but for right now she wanted Nighttrid to get comfortable with operation here in the States.

Nighttrid introduced Rain to one of his most trusted pilots Dex.  He seemed nice enough, if Nighttrid trusted him she did, but for the time being all he had to know is that we were transporting coffee.  Rain gave Dex the information about the hangar in Miami.  In time they would divulge the entire operation to him.

When Dex left the office they continue talking about the operation.  Rain suggested that Nighttrid check out how the operation ran at the Cafes and suggested that Nighttrid take a ride with them over there and he agreed.  Told them just let him locks up and he would meet them at the car outside.

Report Post Tip
After everything was sorted out, Nighttrid was eager to go check the cafe out as he had heard about the operation but didn't yet have the time or the opportunity to go check it out in person.
Nighttrid told them to give him a few minutes to wind-up everything and that he will meet them at the front. Nighttrid had a lot on his plate and also had a few appointments booked by some special individuals but he could not say no to Rain. He made his way to his office where he personally called and apologized and cancelled the appointments.
Once he was done and his calendar free, he made his way to the front where he was being waited on.

Teach was in need of an airplane for a specific order that needed to be transported in a hurry. He normally relied on the railroads to transport his goods, but the client in this case was paying extremely over market value for expedience. He heard of a place here in Detroit that could possibly be able to facilitate such a shipment. He needed to be sure that the transportation would remain discrete. In order for this to happen, Teach would have to meet with the owner in person.

He had his driver take him to Night Airlines and Cargo Services. He stepped inside and walked over to the desk.

"Good morning, I'm interested in shipping a full load tonight if possible. It's a bit of a rushed request, so I was hoping to speak with the owner regarding the shipment, please."

Nighttrid was looking over some of the manifest lists to make the appropriate arrangements, the front was doing well on its on and it was keeping Nighttrid busy.

Roxy knocked on the door and came in, she explained that there is someone out there looking to speak with him regarding a urgent shipment.
Nighttrid made his way to the front office and proceeded to the gentleman at the counter, He introduced him self to EdwardTeach and waited to hear what might he be looking for.

Teach waited for a bit of time, but sure enough Nighttrid came out and met with him. Teach shook the man's hand and smiled.

"Good morning friend. I need to move some glass bottles full of liquid from here to Los Angeles."

His face grew serious as he looked around.

"I need this shipment moved discretely, with no trace. Is that something we can have done?"

After much consideration and some advice from friends to take a break, Taiga decided to spend the weekend somewhere she'd never been before. The problem was: Taiga had many strong suits but geography was not one of them, she could barely memorize the cities she'd been to in the US, let alone remember an obscure country in the middle of nowhere. Which was why her feet brought her to Night Airlines and Cargo Services -- she'd heard nothing but good things and so she expected the best. She also figured this was the only place that wouldn't have suspicions about a young lady with no degree but a shitton of money, wanting to disappear for two or three days. Far shadier transactions have been done here after all.

Walking into the establishment, she was greeted by a woman named Roxy who was surprisingly kind. She was then asked to wait before being asked for clarification about her destination. "Yes, that's right. I'd like a plane ticket to the middle of nowhere. A roundtrip flight somewhere quiet and serene, preferably near a beach. Got any ideas?"

Report Post Tip
Nighttrid listened to EdwardTeach as he explained that he needed some bottles moved discreetly. Nighttrid didn't seem to be interested in what was in them just that Teach needed discretion.
He informed him it wouldn't be a problem, this is what he specialized in. He told him to name the date and time and it would be done.

Roxy approached the client that had just walked in, she introduced her self as Taiga.
She had a odd request that she wanted a flight to the middle of nowhere, she had seen many different request but this was different. She offered to her a flight to St. Lucia as this gave the feeling on no where but at the same time had amazing views and amazing beaches.
Report Post Tip

"The Caribbean, huh?" Taiga asked, imagining herself lounging on the beach and sipping on coconut water straight from the husk. "I'll take it. The sooner the flight, the better. I can go right now if you have any flights available." It might seem weird as she had no bags with her, but Taiga decided that she can buy the bikinis and sunblock once she landed. Pleased with the speedy and accommodating service in Night Airlines and Cargo Services, she made a mental note to come back here and avail their services every once in a while. After all, it's very rare that you'd find a no-questions-asked kind of transport service.

Taiga paid in cash before she boarded the private plane she'd chartered going to the vacation she so desperately needed. Upon landing, she told the pilot to come back for her in exactly 72 hours, and she got a stern nod in return. Now, if only she can find a store to buy clothes from....

Rain made her way over Night Airlines and Cargo Services.  Business was picking up for Nighttrid she quickly found out.  She had to wait about 45 minutes to get to talk to him but she didn’t mind she was glad he was busy. When his office was finally cleared she walked in and he start apologizing right away.  Rain told him not to worry she understood and was happy about his success.

Rain sat down and told him she would go over everything really quickly so he could get back to his customers.

She pulled some papers out of suitcase.

These are you permits to land at Hanger 11 at the Miami airport. It’s going to be a little strange but the plane from Bogota will land at Hanger 10, but the cargo has to come inside the airport, clear customs and transferred to hanger 11.  You will sign for the shipment once it clears customs.  You have already secured the flight permits for Detroit and then Chicago.  You shouldn’t have any problems in Detroit because you already know most of the custom agents.  Chicago might be a little different; sometimes you will find a customs agent wanting to earn some stripes.  If that’s the case we already have people in place to open an unmarked container with just coffee.  We rarely have any trouble because the U.S. doesn’t want to seem they causing trouble for the Colombia export of coffee.

Big Moe will always let you know in advance the time for pick-up.  If things go smoothly the shipment always arrives at the Miami airport around 2pm on the day of arrival.

Rain found herself talking really fast as not to take up to much of Nighttrid’s time.  She totally forgot that this was going to be a test run for them.  She just wanted every I dotted and every T crossed.

Now Detroit wasn't exactly known for its bustling art scene but a unique opportunity called Taiga over to the Motor City. She'd caught wind that one of the more... err... eccentric collectors around Bricktown had recently passed, and there was going to be a private auction for the pieces he'd acquired over the years. And when Taiga said eccentric... she meant that the man had a taste for world-class, high-quality, and of course, stolen paintings and had amassed quite the collection.

Taiga had to pull some strings but when the eve of June 29th arrived, she was thankfully waltzing into the art collector's manor in her lucky black dress and her assistant Pauly right behind her. "Say boss, what are we looking for anyway?" He asked her with a hint of annoyance in his voice -- it was supposed to be his day-off but Taiga asked him to fly out and assist her in the auction, in exchange for a large sum of course. Taiga smiled at him as they took their seats in the tiny room, which housed no more than 20 people who all looked at one another with shifty eyes. "We're looking for anything worth something, dear Pauly. I'm feeling a bit competitive tonight."

Pauly scratched his head as he looked at his boss with confusion in his eyes. "Then what do you need me for?" Taiga shot him a knowing look right as the auction was about to start and whispered to him in a low voice. "You'll see."

--

Grunting as he put down the last of 12 enormous and heavy paintings, Pauly leaned on the counter of Night Cargo Services and wiped his forehead. "That's the last of it, Miss Taiga. Now I know why you brought me along..."

Taiga took a quick inventory of the paintings once again, all wrapped up and packaged nicely before she faced the woman manning the counter. "Hi, may I please get these shipped back to Seattle? They're very... delicate, so I'd like the safest way to send them there, please," she told the woman distractedly as she perused the services they offered. Before the lady could even reply, she held up a finger and looked up at her. "You know what, scratch that. May you so kindly charter a private plane for me, Pauly, and these paintings here? I'm not going to let these out of my sight. I trust there will be unlimited champagne and food onboard? Maybe that will help Pauly forgive me for hijacking his day off."

"A little help here?"

No one could be heard, only the feint whistling of the air as it rushed past the box in a steady stream. This would have worried Cepheus a whole lot more had he not brought his ear plugs which consisted mostly of bread.

"...Anyone?"

Getting himself stuffed into a cargo container was a whole lot harder than he had imagined in the first place, but getting out seemed to be even more difficult and being able to control his bladder was on a whole other level of impossibility that hopefully the scent of piss wafting through the air would be enough to alert a passerby that something was wrong.

"Why do these things always happen to me?"

The answer to that question was very simple and quite rhetorical in nature and yet his mind still replayed the entirety of earlier in that day when he had paid a couple of street teens to shove him inside of the box and send him over to Night Airlines and Cargo Services for shipping. If they had actually followed through with the second part he could not tell, but he was sure that they definitely filled the first half without fail.

Attempting to shift himself into a more comfortable position there was finally some sort of hope as his entire world shook for a moment before springing him out. Freedom! Looking around he could tell that he definitely was not where he started his journey and so it could only be assumed that he in fact was flown to the city of Detroit-- perfect!

"So this is Detroit, eh? Not too shabby."

Looking down at his slip of paper he took into account the name that was on it and nodded to himself. Handling the $4000 that he owed the company for his shipment, he left the area and went into the city of Detroit ready to make his mark on the businesses. He would need to find his friend and fast so that they could show him around, but where was she... that still remained to be seen.

Sana had chartered a private plane from New York to Detroit -- not only did she need a speedy and no-frills way to DT because she had a job she needed to finish there, but Sana also sought out the privacy and silence which the private plane offered. She'd gotten through a couple of pages of Taiga's diary which she found in their old apartment, but she hadn't found the guts to read it all the way through yet. She didn't want the diary to end because it felt like her sister was with her again, talking to her... and Sana didn't want to let go of that feeling. However, she knew she had to finally finish reading it because it might hold clues to where Taiga ran off to, so she sat back and opened the overhead light, flipping through the pages.

Most entries were painful to read -- this had been where Taiga fully expressed her desire to leave the mafioso life behind and start fresh somewhere. The problem with her was that she never knew when to quit and she always found a reason to stay: she didn't want to leave her friends, she was afraid to strike out on her own, or that she needed to earn more money for Sana and the rest of their family. All of these were just smokescreens for the real reason why she could never leave: she fully enjoyed the thrill of being a mobster. She reveled in stealing art and selling drugs, driving fast cars and running from the cops. Taiga had always been a "good girl" with a wild streak, whereas Sana was the exact opposite -- she was a hot mess who really just wanted to get her life together. She didn't seek danger like her sister did... Sana was scared of most things, as much as she didn't want to admit it.

As she read and cherished her sister's every word, one entry in particular caught Sana's eye. It was one dated a few months before she disappeared. "I met with one of the transporters Pauly booked today." Taiga wrote in her familiar cursive script. "I told him where I wanted to go. It wasn't my endpoint in mind, but it's definitely a stop along the way. He thought I was crazy for wanting to be dropped in the middle of the Himalayas... he might be right, but hey -- if I'm going to disappear, I might as well take the scenic route, right? It's always been a dream of mine, after all..."

Sana continued reading and her heart started racing. She whipped out the map she found under Taiga's table at Sinsana and looked for the Himalayas... and there it was... encircled in purple ink -- Bhutan, near the Himalayas. It was confirmed -- this map was where she needed to look -- this was where Taiga was headed after her disappearance. Did she leave this for Sana to find so that she could follow her sister or did she simply forget that this was there -- Sana didn't know. What she did know is she needed to figure out the arrangement of the countries which Taiga flew to then start narrowing her search then. She had a feeling she would get more from this diary but before she could continue reading, the pilot's voice crackled through the speakers informing her of their descent.

She tucked the diary back into her bag and put on her seatbelt. She had to push aside the excitement about finding her sister in the meantime -- she had a job to do in Detroit, and a messy one at that.

I was stuck in Detroit. Those damn pesky airlines, always delayed. Quite honestly, I am absolutely fed up with it. As I stood at the airline counter, I decided to ask if the attendant knew of an alternate mode of transportation back to New York. Discreetly, she handed me a card and told me to contact Roxy for more details. I went to the nearest phone booth and gave the number on the card a ring. After three rings, a woman with a soft voice answered the phone. I explained to her my situation and that I was wanting a seat on a flight back to New York as fast as possible. It was going to cost me a shiny penny, but I desperately needed to get back. The flight was to leave in exactly one hour. I picked up my suitcases and hailed a cab. I really do hate traveling around without my chauffeur, Francois.

I got to the secluded airport and boarded the plane. It was super fancy and very quiet. Within a few minutes, the plane left and within a few hours, I was in the big apple. I was very pleased with the service I received.

Johnny stepped off of the small private plane that he had chartered to some airport from an old Business associate connection that Dawn had. His black Oxfords shined in the soft glow of the moon and from distant lights in the city as he stepped down from the stairs. Two of his guards had already arrived the day prior, scoping the place out to check for any activity and they met him on the tarmac. "No activity really, boss. We saw a couple squatters heading in but we scared em off." Johnny nodded at the guys while lighting a cigarette with the quick flash of a match. "Sounds good guys, help the mechanic team with their gear." Johnny said, letting the smoke sift through his pearly as he exhaled. He then turned to Tony who was helping down the female stewardess and carrying her bag over his shoulder. Johnny grinned and shook his head, Tony was a big guy...but he was very respectful and had the manners of royalty, which made him a hit with the ladies. The pretty little redhead gave him a soft kiss on his cheek as he went to put her bag in the trunk, his chiseled cheeks turned a light shade of red and he gripped her by the waist. "You got this boss? Alfie is in his way with another group of guys to lock this place down." Johnny let out a laugh and moved his black trench coat to show his special piece, a nickel plated M1911 with and extended mag and black pearl accents on the handle. A twin sat in the other hip which he showed off, switching sides of his jacket to show off the white pearl gripped sister piece. "Go have your fun, be back before noon. I want to be out of Detroit by tomorrow and settling at the new spot in Chicago." Johnny tossed his cigarette down and snuffed it out with a twist of his foot. "I got you, Mr. Burtolini. You can take it from my next cut." Johnny gave him a stern look and waved him off. "Get out of here or i just might, Tony. Have a good night, miss. Take care of my boy." He tipped his fedora at the pair and turned to get things moving before he too called it a night. Another two black four door Fords rolled up, a group of eight men piling out in black suits and long coats. A tall skeleton of a man moved at the head of the group, the man wore a long black duster and a black rattler cowboy hat. The redwood grip of a black iron .357 revolver. He nodded to Johnny and ordered the men to go on and get to work assisting the mechanics and securing the airport. "How are you doing, Mr. Burtolini? There is another team of mechanics on standby for the morning shift, eight mechanics. Depending on what these guys find tonight while they go over the systems and check the condition of the planes. Don't look too unused though...so we hope to be able to knock it out by tomorrow night or the morning after." Johnny shook Alfie's hand and offered him a swig from his flask. "Doing well, Alfie. Sounds like we will have a quick job and then we can get out of here...good to hear, then we can get to making money. Heard anything about the dock yard back in Chicago?" Alfie took the flask and took two long gulps from it and handed it back to Johnny, "Not sure....not heard anything about that, been busy getting things together here." He lit his own cigarette and walked on to the control tower's front office to relax and give the mechanics time to inspect the first of the craft. They relaxed and enjoyed a cigar, sitting with a glass of scotch and good conversation.

"Huh...its been about two hours, I'd say. The blood is hot. Might step out and have a smoke...see what the lads are up to." Alfie rose and grabbed the table to steady himself and Johnny gave a slight laugh,"Come on, Alfie. Sit down and have your smoke, they will come to us if they have any news." Just after Johnny finished his words, the door opened and two of the mechanics came in with cigarettes and grins. "Well, Mr. Burtolini...it seems from the first two we've gave a quick look over, that these planes are still in pretty decent shape. Some basic maintenance work and a double check of every system and the wings should be tasting air by tomorrow night." The first man said, an older American man with a neatly kept beard and soft brown eyes. "Hell, they'll be good to go possibly before then." The younger of the two said, probably just barely out of school and working with family. "Well then...take you guys a break and grab a bite, there's a full stock on the private plane. Get you a smoke in and then I want you to get out there and do a quick look over of the other three. Make notes on anything suspicious and whatever time you have left, focus on one or two and try to get them as ready as you can before the next shift." Johnny put his cigarette out in the tray and pulled out two imported Italian Cigarettes. "The finest in all of Italia, gentlemen. Enjoy your break." The two nodded and ran off, leaving Alfie half asleep and face down in his arms on the table. "I'm done boss...don't need anymore drink. Think I'm going to grab me a cold Coke and pass out on the plane. Give me a few hours..." Johnny looked to Alfie who was talking with his mouth burrowed in his elbows. "Go on, you're lucky you have good connections and information....or I'd have fired you a long time ago. Get you a bite and sober up." Johnny watched him go and decided he would kick back, maybe even get some shut eye...not like he could get ahold of @Dawn this late at night to let her know how it was going.
