Don't like your crew? I'll have you Started by: Fidd on May 24, '20 11:30

With the suicide rate going up lately, I had to wonder what was going on? Was it The Great Depression, as the papers were calling it? Or was it just because people felt as if their crew leaders were shit?

Previously, I had made a statement, highlighting that I was going to adopt a certain approach to recruiting people to my family. What became apparent quite quickly was that people weren't really interested in this. As such, it's left me reverting back to type and adapting the usual way in which I would recruit. It would seem that's not working either. Grin-07's family is apparently a much more desirable place to join, as are the other 6/7 crews that have set up since I set up myself. However, despite that, the rate of suicides are low within my family.

Seeing all the poor weeping widows at the funerals of the weak individuals who just couldn't bring themselves to carry on, it made me think that it's such a waste to see so much potential go to waste. So what would be the alternative?

I considered this for a time and decided that, if you don't want to live on underneath your substandard leaders, then come forward and I'll have you.

Whether or not it speaks volumes about how they're doing things over in Detroit, I don't know, but what I will say is that in the last 3 days, they've had 6 mobsters of various stature pull the plug on their own life. Then over in Seattle, 2 in the last 3 days have decided to call it a time on their own life, one of which was a Made Man. Why on earth would a Made Man feel like life wasn't worth living anymore? Both Seattle members came from Nipsey's family... Maybe DaBaby's cries were just too much for them?

Anyway, I don't care. If you want to call it a day with your current crew, let Fidd know. Fidd's the man, Fidd's your mate, Fidd has a very low suicide rate. The fact I managed to rhyme this, pretty much says it all.

Even if you don't want to kill yourself but have just had enough of your leader, let ol' Fidd know. He'll shmooze things over and get you extracted out of the grips of the poor leadership you're having to suffer with.

All you have to do is call:

0-800-GET-ME-OUT, that's 0-800-GET-ME-OUT.

I can concur Fidd is well placed option, regardless of the fact his last promotion occurred roughly 2 years ago.

You'd also be coming to Chicago. The greatest city in the world.

  • Yes, two of its current crew leaders are regular hitlist chart toppers.
  • Yes, we have a transvestite Chinese woman running a family who leads with an iron broom; who's pronunciation of the letter L, whilst improving, is still fairly dodgy.
  • Yes, one of our crew leaders has a name so irritating to announce and/or write down.
  • Yes, we fail Organised Crimes with such regularity you wonder if it's worth even attempting them anymore.

So what are you waiting for? Get involved. Have a chin wag. Weigh your options up and I'll see you in The Windy City shortly.

How dare you! I'm not a Chinese transvestite woman......... Oh wait a minute, perhaps the next point was referring to me.

People will suicide regardless of what a certain city does or doesn't do.  Thats not always a reflection of that city, their upper structures ot current members.  Bare in mind, this world has not long seen a decent sized war, this will organically create the kins of those dead to rush back to this world without real thought for what they are doing. Once they calm down and accept that their kins are gone, a lot. historically will decide that this life just isn't for them and will take their own life as a byproduct of quick and rash decisions.

Also, pleasing everyone is impossible, no matter of your cities demographic. People clash, thats inevitable.

While CH may not have a great deal of suicides, they do however create a lot of heat and are ever popular on the hit-lists that are posted to the lampposts.

"I don't get this whole thing. Taking your own life just because you don't like your current situation. That is weak and a terrible excuse. The only person that can change your situation is yourself. Don't like your crew? Do something to make it a better place. Talk with the boys at the bar, go out to the brothel together and see some tiddies. Want some more involvement? Talk to your CL. Any CL worth their shit will try and do their best to accomodate you. Is it about being in a weaker city? Well no one really knows exactly. Anything can happen and tides do turn around we've seen it countless times in our history. This life is unpredictable and if you're a little slow or a little late it doesn't matter if you're the biggest baddest gun or the guy who gets his lunch money taken everyday. Just be slow or a little late once and it's over. Often times just like sports people always want to root for the winning team. But sometimes rooting for the underdog that team that's always last in the standings when they finally win is a pretty sweet victory."

Mercury hears someone speaking and goes over to listen. A few people chime in. She feels she has something to say as well and speaks up.

I understand the whole suicide thing. Sometimes people get into the wrong crews and need a fresh start by no fault of their own. It may appear that it was a good fit in the beginning but is no longer. Several things can lead to this. Inactivity and the lack of communication can cause members to get bored. Some leaders are hardly on. Some are on and don't engage their members. If you are just sitting here clicking and hopping around selling drugs it gets boring real fast. Others are tired of working for a family and not getting any recognition. They don't want to be placed in the Wiseguy for life box. They want more. When that happens, they want out. They realize they will lose a lot yet suicide offers them a way out of a miserable situation leading nowhere. I find suicide a better option than going rogue that's for sure!

I like this idea Finn has brought forth. Maybe it will lower the suicide rate however I can't see leaders letting anyone go who had put more than a week or so of work in. Why would a leader want to see someone who has been steadily building and contributing go elsewhere? Anyone even asking permission could find themselves on the end of a bullet. A leader and/or upper structure would most likely question their loyalty if they asked out.

While I understand what you are saying, I believe when you are unhappy with your leadership you should see about moving within your district/city first and if that doesn't work out you should request a bullet. That's the honorable way out of a bad situation.

Mercury - if you ever decided to shoot yourself, I'd fund the action.

Absolutely appalling behaviour from a crew leader.  I'm sure I read somewhere that you think you're one of the current crop of leaders that make this place great- you aren't. Not with comments like that.

Absolutely shocking.

Honesteh hears a conversation developing in the streets and his interest peaks as he hears @__________I_________ saying something about not being a transvestite Chinese woman even if she clearly is. Rumors in the streets say that this weirdly named person takes gestra's, who is also clearly a woman, clothes and parades around in them for all of this leader's HQ to see.

Honesteh heard the disgusting comment that a leader of Chicago, Kirsty, made and Honesteh was about to step up and say something, but quickly stopped when hearing Scousepole speak.

"Scousepole, are you able to read minds? Your words are shocking to me... they're literally what I would've said as well."

Honesteh grabbed some tinfoil from his pocket, dipped it in maple syrup and made a hat out of it, which he eventually wore.

"There... Now no one will be able to read my thoughts. However, I do want to say something else, though. The comment made by Kirsty is clear indication that he is not fit to hold an important position in Chicago, a city so lovely. It also shows that his words and thoughts are as grody as that of his ancestors. I'd love to know that Kirsty's future kin will not reflect their ancestors' behaviour, but with a lineage so toxic, the radiation will never be purged from the bloodline. A sad sight indeed and one nobody should ever have to behold."

Report Post Tips: 2 / Total: $40,000 Tip

Scousepole - are you absolutely sure about that?  I mean, what you said, are you absolutely absolute in your belief?  Because you'd have to have absolutely absolute sincerity to be absolutely sure.  I believe dogma is the preserve of the fool, and that certainly is a balm for the irritated and ineffectual intellect.  I, on the other hand, choose and practise wisdom.  I am not absolute about anything.  Save for this: @Honestah has, today, introduced a word that simply makes no sense.

He is grody.  Absolutely grody.

Report Post Tip

And what word, pray tell, would that be Kirsty? Even as a Foreigner in this country i was able to understand all the words spoken by Honesteh.

Report Post Tip

"Kirsty you are as wise as a 6-year-old child. You say your practise wisdom; you clearly have an astronomical way to go. However, I do implore you not to try to hard. After all, we don't want your "precious little brain" to have meltdown, now, do we?"

Before Honesteh walks away, he approaches Kirsty and hands him a pocket thesaurus and a dictionary.

"Here, you need this. If you read the thesaurus, you'll learn of synonyms for words. If you don't know what synonyms are, read the dictionary I gave you and work your way up. With a dictionary, you'll learn what all words mean and you'll even learn words that you don't know. Now isn't that something of use?"

Honesteh ruffles Kirsty's unwashed hair and immediately regrets it.

"I'm going to go home now. Need to wash my hands. I don't want to get gangrene."

Honesteh walks away to the sanctity of his home.

Boss Kirsty - let me offer my sincerest apology on behalf of the real soulcatchers.

It would appear that Honesteh was in fact much closer to having a meltdown, as clearly shown by his words spoken above.
We’ve made sure you won’t be troubled by him again.

gestna so, let me get this correct. A crew leader can come out on the streets and actively encourage someone from another city to suicide and "fund it" and act in a generally dick-ish way.  yet in an open scenario like the streets, a member can't put this specific crew leader to task in the same tone that this specific leader treats the vast majority of people out here?

And if he date speak out, he is killed? I didn't know the lad you so publically killed and happily told us all in the streets but if I was his son, id be furious. I'm pretty unhappy as a bystander.

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $20,000 Tip
Scousepole - in our family we will not tolerate our representatives, and especially those not yet made, to publicly disrespect and belittle others. Especially other crew leaders.

This is a fairly simple principle.

The actions of Boss Kirsty leading to this debate will be his to defend. I do however believe, and even encourage, that it’s more than possible to react, comment or question his statements in these streets without being punished for it. Just don’t do it in a manner that reflects poorly on us.
Report Post Tips: 3 / Total: $60,000 Tip

Kirsty is part of Ch, is she not? So does her openly telling someone to suicide and offering to fund it, not reflect on your city as a whole? Or is it ok because she is a crew leader? Is that what you are saying?

Good to know how it goes down in Ch..

Say fuck all untill you are made man.

That gets me thinking... On the subject to the topic at hand..

If anyone is unhappy in Thier current crew, because they are silenced untill they reach made man. "I'll have you"

You say it's Kirsty's right to defend.. so is that what happened here? Did she come to you to show her disdain and that's why you killed him? I'm just trying to understand how it goes down in CH.

Report Post Tip
scousepole it’s gestna’s responsibility to manage his crews behaviour, not another CH leader. If discussions are had with Kirsty, that wouldn’t be a public conversation, would it? A line was crossed, Honesteh acted above their station and was punished. It may be that this was an addition to a list of other issues. Again, you wouldn’t be aware if you’re not part of Chicago.

You’ve been around the block enough times to know how things work, let your issue lie with Kirsty if you have one, not with how CH operates its right to punish people.
