| Jail breaking in Chicago | Started by: Cab_Tufting on Mar 01, '08 14:55 |
| Whether you agree, or disagree is not the point. It is Mr Cab_Tufting's city, and he will do with it as he pleases. You don't like it, then don't travel to his city, and don't set up any jails there. Its really not that hard. | |

| Thats fine I understand its his choice, but I think other mafioso's should be allow to enforce the same terms if someone from Mr. Tuftings family is busting on their jails. Yes the world isn't fair so if mafioso must adjust so should they and mafioso who pay for jails should be aloud then to enforce those busting out what they paid for. | |

Asylum, you acknowledge that the world isn't fair, but then you are suggesting that it should be. It isn't, it never has been, and it never will be. "Allowed" What an interesting word to use when applying it to individuals who are not subordinate to the person doing the allowing. Who exactly are you suggesting should "allow" mafiosi from other families to close off their jails? Mr. Tufting? Mr Tufting doesn't have control over other families. How could he allow them to do anything? Asylum, anyone in any of the cities is "allowed" to do whatever they want to do. The question is whether or not they have the power to do it. You are suggesting that the average mafioso should be able to assert himself to the same extent as a powerful family leader who controls the city of Chicago. That whole idea is absurd. I might have to check you into the local insane asylum, as your name suggests. Maybe an example from the world outside of organized crime will help you understand how ridiculous this sounds. Let's take another powerful figure...The President of the United States. The President is allowed to grant amnesty (pardons) to convicted criminals. Basically, he can set a murderer free from prison, or remove him from Death Row. This power has often been used to help political allies. Perhaps you have different political views from the President. If he can use his Pardon Power to help his allies, then of course you should also be able to pardon convicted murderers who are of interest to you. Right? No? Why not? Because he is the President, and you are not. Just as Mr. Tufting controls a city, and you (or any other average mafioso) do not. The concept really isn't difficult to understand. A Gangster does not have the same power as a Don. Go figure. |

| I for one am glad that my family head has an interest in this matter, looking back down my family tree, who were all involved in this thing of ours, I was of the impression that if you got jailed then that's your own issue, family does not normally intervene. | |

Not that I was wanting to ever travel to Chicago anyway, but this gives me more reason to avoid it like the plague. I don't even jailbreak to be honest. |

In my honest opinion, this is a complete load of bullshit. So let me create a little scenario for you. SillySausage is walking past Chicago Down Town jail and hears a scream from inside. He turns around and sees Apathy with her hands out of the bars screaming to get out. SillySausage gos up to the jail and prepares himself to risk his own freedom to break Aptahy out. But at the last minute, he realises that a member of Cab_Tufting's upper structure is awake. Well sorry Apathy, I couldve broken you out, but now you are going to have to suffer your 10 minute sentence as I am not allowed to break you out You see, it jsut doesnt work. Or another scenario SillySausage is robbing a 9/11, he gets busted by the police, at the same time, a jail break is going on in Chi-town. It now looks to everyone that SillySausage was joining in with the Jail Breaking, and gets killed for doing nothing wrong Also, what is the punishment for jail breaking in Chicago? Are you willing to kill for it? Will you demand money gets paid? Will you demand an apology? Or will you just pretend it has never happened? whilst I congratulate you for coming up with a new fresh idea for your town, I feel you couldve put your braincell to better use. Regards SS |

Yes the world isn't fair so if mafioso must adjust so should they and mafioso who pay for jails should be aloud then to enforce those busting out what they paid for." Go ahead, feel free to set those terms. Lets look at two possible outcomes. MrX starts a jail and finds out that an Boss from some crew "stole" his jail, he mails him and tells him to pay up. Boss ignores him. What next? MrX is gonna attack him? On the flip side we have Don Cabbie. He tells you not to freeload on your jail, you ignore, you will most likely die. In short, you can do whatever the hell you want, it just comes down to if you can impose your will on someone else or not. Capiche? |

Also Mr Cab, I have a question to ask you... Will you be banning your members from jail breaking in other leaders cities? Surely as only members should be able to JB in yours, then the justifiable response should be that none of your emmbers will JB outside the city walls of ChiTown? |

"Well sorry Apathy, I couldve broken you out, but now you are going to have to suffer your 10 minute sentence as I am not allowed to break you out" It does not work? hell no, you dont take a chance to bust him out till you know its safe or you pay up. That is, if you dont want to take a risk that you wont get called to task and suffer the consequences. Hey, if you want, you can call the bluff, just dont whine when the cards dont work out in your favour. |

Rambo, so what you are saying is I should not break out members of Cab's own family, which would be for the benefit of Cab, as it is not allowed? therefore, Cab'sd family member sits in jail whilst anything could be going on in the world. And again, the second scenario was not a 'bluff' but an actual plausable scenario that could happen and get someone in trouble (maybe the punishment is tickling?) when they actually did nothing wrong. |

SS, I guess it seems to me that CAB wants you to pay for the "use" of his jails. In anyway or shape. And when it comes to your obligations towards your own crew, you do what you think is right and you judge the risks and your duty to your own crew appropriately If you succeed to break someone out, no one will know, its just when you fail... |

So Rambo, what you are basically saying is Do not fail anything in Chicago or your risk dying Great way to promote business trade within a city! |

Intervention, why don't I like my home city? The risk just ain't worth the reward here anymore. I support my family who live back here in good ol' Chicago, but myself, likes to visit the heights of Philly and New York where the dirty deeds get a greater reward. |

I read your follow up speech Cab. Obviously didn't understand the logistics of it at the time. However, I in no way agree with this and just hope it does not start a trend among the other cities. It's peoples' choice to fill the jails and have to completely understand that there will always be people taking something for nothing. Also another dilemma is, wouldn't the proper JB's only pay tax?. Effectively this means, there won't be as many people failing and ending up getting thrown in the slammer. Therefore taking away the opportunity of a "free" jailbreak will maybe result in less opportunities to break a mafiaso out, so maybe, just maybe it will hurt you in the end? |

I appreciate your honesty. It is a rare thing to find someone that can come to the streets and argue against something in a polite way. Maybe it will hurt me in the end my friend, maybe it wont. It remains to be seen, I sincerely hope I prove you wrong. |

I hope you prove me wrong as well, after all you are family. But it is good to see new intriguing initiatives being taken on these streets by the leaders nowadays. If you don't try new stuff, you'll never going to know if it was worth it. |
