The night was still young, and i had plans to fuck my liver off and gamble away a lot of cash. I knew of a spot that could provide that to me. Life had been well for me since i moved to Vegas, money was no longer a problem. With that said, that didn't mean i didn't work like I was broke.

The lights shined off the gloss of my vehicle as I drove up to the front of the establishment, the valet walked to the drivers side of the door and took the keys.

Walking in I was hit with the scent of cigarettes' i needed to gamble but first a drink was needed, i waived down a young pretty broad asking for a glass of whiskey.

There were only so many times that Ashura could check into the same set of hotels, see the same insincere smiles from the same insincere concierges and unpack in never-changing hotel rooms. When he realised that business would take him to Detroit on a long term basis, the first thing he did was decide to go apartment hunting. Of course, for someone in his way of life, it was important to find the right sort of building with the right sort of tenants. And, of course, the right kind of security.

Which was why, when an associate told him about Cadillac Apartments, he made a point of visiting it as soon as possible. Walking into the building, he took a moment to appreciate its design and how well maintained it was. The staff seemed to be professional and discreet, both traits that he valued. Walking up to the front desk, he tapped it gently to grab the attention of the manager there.

"I'd like to see your two bedroom apartments, if you have any available," he said in a pleasant tone, adding, "And your common facilities as well. I hope you don't mind if one of my bodyguards tags along to look at the security here. Just a necessary precaution, you understand."

Frank was sitting in the apartment lobby when he heard Ashura requesting to see a two bed room apartment and the meeting rooms and tennis courts, swimming pools, and etc.  Frank gave a smirk and a nod and the manager started the tour.   Frank was excite with the holidays approching and the smiles on peoples faces.  He finished reading his paper and went to his apartment.  When he walked in and flipped his light switch and locked the door behind him.  

Frank sat on his couch after he snatched a bottle of beer from his ice box.  He looked at the ceiling and then the wall infront of him as he kicked off his shoes.  Rita and Rosa came knocking on his door with James in tow.  Frank went to open the door and they brought food and more beer.James wanted to play cards as they eat and drank.  It was going well as each person would win a hand and know one was actually ahead.

Gyp: Im looking for a bigger place, like 3 bedrooms need more rooms for my suits (Laughs)

Tony: Check out Cadillac Apartments, they have some nice spots. Call 248-555-9000, to schedule a appointment

The next day Gyp calls to schedule a viewing. They have a opening available the same day

Gyp arrives and walks to the front desk

Gyp: Hello my name is Gyp Rosetti , I scheduled a viewing for the 3 bedroom with Mr. Mulligan  

Victor checked into the Cadillac Apartments.  He walked in and took a seat on the couch.  He opened his little brown paper bag and pulled out his dinner.  He smiled as he ate his seasoned ribs and fries.  When he was done, he went into the kitchen and got himself a bottle of soda.  He then went into his bedroom and took a nap.     

Sitting in his kitchen eating a sandwich with Carlos, Ricco and Tony they had sodas and where just relaxing for the day.  They made their collections for the week, and they kicked up to their boss.  Vic and the guys were still looking to make more money and Carlos wanted them to set up a fake rig where they bet money on the loser putting the word out and get everyone to do the same then when they give better odds on the contender, they switch day of the fight change their bet for the Champ to win.  

After taking his 8th flight to Detroit it began feeling like Sosa's second home. He decides he might as well get some property in town so he would have a consistent place to lay his head when ever he's in the city. Sosa begins scoping out the city when he comes across The Cadillac Apartments in the heart of downtown perfectly located for the business Sosa had to conduct in town.

Sosa waste no time makes his way inside, and is immediately impressed there was entertainment, and places to eat so Sosa wouldn't have to wander around town trying to find where the good food was. Sosa makes his way up to the front desk and is greeted by the clerk.

"Welcome sir, it's always nice seeing a new face. Is there anything I would be able to assist you with?" The clerk asks 

"Yes ma'am I'm looking for a place to rent, do you guys have any openings, and if so would I be able to schedule a tour?"

"We actually do have openings, and I would be happy to help you get a tour scheduled what time and day would work best for you?" Replies the clerk

"Awesome I will be free Friday around 12 pm if that works for you."

"Sounds like a plan sir I will lock you in for Friday, is there anything else I can do for you today?"

" that will be all thank you for your time"

Sosa heads out of the building happy with his first impression of the place and excited to see what the inside has to offer. Sosa pulls a pack of smokes out of his pocket lights one up and begins to find a hotel to stay in for the next couple of nights.

Friday arrived, and Sosa was eager to see the inside of what may be one of his new homes. He gets ready for the day, calls a car service, and in not too long there was a driver waiting outside of the hotel Sosa was staying in. He walks out side and is greeted by the driver who is waiting with the back door open. 

"Where are we headed today sit?" Ask the driver.

"Take me to the Cadillac Apartments downtown please, the address is 2332 woodard blvd."

"No problem I'm familiar with the building." Replies the driver before taking off for The Cadillac Apartments 

After not too long Sosa was pulling up to The Cadillac Apartments Sosa makes his way inside and is greeted by the same lady who helped him on his last visit.

"Welcome back sir you're right in time for your tour. Right this way."

The lady takes Sosa up to the top floor and leads him into a beautiful apartment it was very spacious and it had a good view of downtown. there were 2 guest rooms that Sosa would house his associates in when ever they were in town. After a quick walk through Sosa was already sold. From the location to the entertainment and amenities the building had to offer Sosa didn't see any down sides to staying here. The building also had a very solid security presence which was important to Sosa.

Sosa is led back down to the front desk where he gets all the paper work filled out. 

"I'm glad that you loved the building and it was a pleasure doing business with you. You can come pick your key up to move in next thursday."

"Thank you! I'm glad I finally have a consistent place to lay my head while in Detroit. I'll see you Thursday."

Sosa makes his way out of the building where his driver is still waiting for him. Sosa gets in the car and is off to get some business handled before his evening flight back to Philadelphia.

Vic was back in Detroit to handle business and relax.  He walked by a new tenant as he was coming into the Apartment building.  Vic gave the guy a nod and then looked over at the building security chief.  The Chief gave Vic a nod to indicate that the man walking out of the building was good to go.  Vic nodded back and headed up to his apartment.

Vic enter into his apartment and immediately took off his shoes and putting them in his shoe rack and then took his suit jacket off and then walked into his kitchen.  He opened the refrigerator and pulled out a sandwich and a soda.  He took a seat at his small kitchen table and started eating.  He was happy to be home and get things rolling.  

After a thirty minute drive from Legendary Reliable Airlines Sosa his driver Ronald, and his body guard Big Tadoe had pulled up to the Cadillac Apartments. Big Tadoe and Ronald grabbed the luggage and the three men make there way into the lobby and right when the smell of food hits Tadoe's nose he begins to speak.

"Oooouuuweeee Something smell's delicious let's hurry up and get these bags dropped off!" 

The three men make their way up to the top floor and into Sosa's suite. Sosa shows the two men where the guest rooms were and heads to the master to drop off his bags and freshen up a bit before heading back out to get some food with the guys. After getting all settled in the guys make their way back down to the lobby and into one of the three restaurants the lobby had to offer where they are greeted by a hostess.

"Welcome in fellas! How many will be dining in with us today?"

"Just the three of us." Sosa replies

"Perfect we have a table available now right this way." The hostess replies while motioning the guys to follow her. After showing the men to their seats the hostess brings each them a cup of water, a few menus, and informs them that their waiter would be with them shortly. 

"As long as they have a steak I'm happy boss." Says Tadoe as he leans back in his seat. 

After not too long the waiter arrives at the table and takes the three mens orders.

"What can I get you guys today?"

"I'll have the steak with the shrimp skewers mashed potatoes and broccoli please. I'll have the steak medium rare. And I'll take a side car to drink" Sosa says as he hands the menu back to the waiter.

"I'll take the steak as well, but can I have the fries and asparagus instead of the mashed potatoes and broccoli. I'll have the french 75 as my drink" Says Tadoe as he hands back the menu.

"of course, how would you like your steak prepared?" Replies the waiter. 

"Medium rare is there any other way!?" Tadoe says jokingly 

"I don't think so but you'd be surprised how many well done orders I get! And for you sir?" The waiter replies as he turns his head to Ronald 

"I'll just go with the chicken fettuccine, and I'll have a southside to drink."

"Not a problem I'll have everything out shortly." The server replies before taking the ticket over to the kitchen

After not too long the food came out all and three men devour their meals and put a few drinks back. Once they were all finished Sosa covers the bill and leaves the tip before all three men make their way back out into the streets of Detroit.

Vic was in his apartment smoking a cigarette while polishing his own shoes.  He was moving that show brush as a mile a minute and from time to time dapping a little show polish with a wet cotton ball.   He had the radio on playing some soft jazz and from time to time taking a bite of his sandwich.  It was the first day of spring and he was excited about getting out.  

Sal walked into Vic apartment, he needed to clean out the join and then move into it himself.  Sal read some of the journals that Vic left behind and saw a few opportunities to make a little scratch while he waited things to die down and all the cites to open up.  Police crack downs all across America were happening and the National Guards were on the streets.  Sal needed a place to crash when he was in the motor city and this place was the best since it was already in his family.  

There was so much travel since her debut. Pearl wanted a place somewhere between the west and east coast where she could lay her head in peace and luxury while offering her entourage a place to gather while giving giving her the protection and breathing room she required for her self care. Pearl was pleased with the accommodations of her two master suite; especially the large closet space for her insanely large travel wardrobe. 

Hercules Mulligan, the General Manager, had assured her that anything she needed could be attended to without hesitation. 

As she poured herself a fresh stiff bourbon, a wicked crooked grin took to her ruby painted lips. It was good to be pampered. 

Skad picks up his new Cadillac and drives around the city to get more familiarised with the streets and the road. While driving around he imagines having multiple houses rather than having the one spot.

If things ever went south, he'd need another spot to rely on...Let it be for his profits,stash, drugs, whatever the case might be. 

He called Sal and he recommended Skad to check out the Cadillac apartments.

"Yeah boss, its a decent spot. Id recommend ringing them and setting up an appointment."

"Right, that sounds like a plan. What are the details?"

"Sure boss, the details are 248-555-9000. Just ask for Hercules and setup the appointment."

Skad didn't waste any time and rang them after stopping on the side of the road. 

"Ring, ring...ring ring....ring ring..."Hello, Cadillac Apartments, How many I help you"?

"Id like to book an appointment for a viewing if possible."

"Sure sir, we are free at the moment, come over if you have time in the day. Meet us at the lobby and mention your details"

Skad immediately drove around and took a U-Turn and went over towards the Cadillac apartments. He parked infront of the apartment and the security guard let him pass through without question. As he walked over, he saw the place was well done, had lounges for all types of events including gambling. 

He reached the desk and a man was at the desk. 

"I m here for a appointment for viewing..."

"Ahh yes, you must be Skadoosh, my name is Hercules I m the incharge of this place. Please come through with me."

Skad went along with Hercules and got a tour of the place. Finally he came down to finalising 2 apartments. One was a 3 bedroom and another 2 bedroom. He specifically requested Hercules to make sure the 2 bedroom apartment was under someone elses name, so it was like his safehouse. 

Hercules pulled out a bunch of papers to sign. Skad took around 20 mins and finally finished up with the big log of papers and handed it back. He pulled out a stack of cash from his inner left jacket pocket and put it down. 

"I don't know if its the exact amount, but i m sure its over the amount thats required"

"Much obliged sir," said Hercules as he handed him both the keys. 

Skad went into the 3 bedroom room and set his things in there. It was an empty apartment so needed some interior done. He rang downtown and had some lads come down later in the days to setup the furniture. He asked for a Bar setup, a king size bed, Sofa, Balcony setup...The whole works he ordered. 

He finally called up and booked a flight to LA, as he had meetings to meet up with Alina and co to discuss further the investment opportunities. He took a nice hot shower and made his way to the airport. 

MCThunder needed somewhere to stay for the night as he had a full days work in Detroit so he thought it was best to arrange a place to sleep as early as possible, he walked up to the receptionist "I'd like the most luxurious room you have please" the receptionist handed him the keys to a room and said "go up to the top floor, these are your keys I hope you enjoy your stay"

Sal was in his apartment, talking with Sammy, Tony and Apples.  Apples wanted to go down to the lobby and check out one of the Restaurants.  Tony and Sammy both wanted a steak and Sal smiled and shook his head.  They went down to the lobby and walked into the London Chop house.  They were seated and handed menus.  Sal and Apples ordered Ribeye steaks with rice and brown gravy.  Tony and Sammy ordered Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes covered with brown gravy.  The meals came with dinner rolls and cheese with your choice of red or white wine.  The all ordered red.  

While they waited for their food, they talked a little about business, Sal told them that they would not get into the drug trades, that Don Vito might want everyone focused on that, but Don Gambino is correct the politicians that they have as friends can't help and drugs is a very risky business that America is not prepared for and wants to lock you up and toss the keys away.  Sal wanted liked the numbers, gambling, shylock and union businesses.  He was also wanting to get into the construction and parking rackets.  Then the food arrived, and the smiles spread across each man's face.  

Alina wasn’t sure where she wanted to get a place in Detroit.  Salvatore-Lucchese arranged for her to meet with Hercules Mulligan, the General Manager at the Cadillac Apartments.  He thought I would like that apartment building.   

As she drove through the city to the Woodward Blvd address the neighborhood was very nice and the apartment building looked rather nice also.

When she walked into the lobby she thought to herself this is pretty dope. Hercules Mulligan stepped up right away, greeted her and introduced himself.  He gave her an impressive tour of the lounges and amenities then escorted her to the two bedroom apartment that was available.  The minute she walked in she knew that Salvatore-Lucchese had it decorated.  Its lovely Mr. Mulligan, I’ll take it.   He got so excited.  He handed her the keys, started talking fast saying that all the paperwork was ready and all she needed to do was sign them.  She just laughed to herself told him she wanted to look around a little and would meet him back downstairs.

Sal walked in and saw that Hercules Mulligan was standing at the desk.  He walked up to Sal and told him that Alina was there looking over the place.  Sal nodded then Mulligan ask him if he thought she was going to accept.  Sal smiled and told him when it comes to her never say never and never give an answer because she will surprise you every time.  Mulligan nodded as he said that Alina is like his wife changes her mind no matter how favable it could be.  Sal laughed and said exactly.  

Sal thought about going up to see her but he knew that that could tip the scales in the other direction she had to decide on her own or she would just walk away.  Sal thought about going to his apartment but choose to to to one of the restaurants and have an early dinner.  

The apartment was decorated really nicely.  Alina finished looking around, grabbed her purse, keys, locked the door and headed to the business office to sign the papers.  When she walked out of the elevator there was Salvatore-Lucchese talking with Hercules.  She walked over to him. Punched in the arm as usual, then hugged him and told him the apartment was lovely.  Sal waited while Hercules escorted Alina into the office to sign the papers.  When she was finished he asked her could he show her some things in her apartment.  She just smiled, she knew he had it decorated. 

They went back up to the apartment.  Alina fixed them each a drink at her new bar area.   Sal showed her that behind a beautiful picture of a Bourbon Street lamp post was a wall safe.  He taught her the combination and inside was a pistol, two boxed of bullets and an envelope which she knew was cash.  She said the combination over and over again in her head so she would remember them.  They finished their drinks and Alina washed out the glasses.  She told Sal she wouldn’t wait to get some of her personal belongings here to the apartment. 

She told him she had a few stops to make and if he wasn’t tired or busy maybe he wouldn’t mind hanging out with her.  He told her to let him take care of a few things in his apartment and he was all hers.

Sal made it to his apartment and walked into his bedroom and grab a few dollars from his safe.  Sal then took out a black small phonebook and wrote down two names and their phone numbers and a date.  Sal then put the book back and went back to meet Alina he told her that he would be happy to hang out with her.
