Can we talk about how your leader is a Don with zero speeches? What are your thoughts on that?

I hear lots of dweebs mentioning my name, so I go to see what the fuss is about. Spike's peddling more defeatist loser-logic, some guy is hawking a crappy looking painting to prove how great his dad was before Curtis buried him, and apparently the newest chapter in the narrative is that I don't help enough. What a truly new low in the tragic saga of Grin-08. 

I worry for a second about the implications of that now being public knowledge. Is that the end of it all? Did I need to fire 43,000 times at a rogue to prove my importance? Should I go into hiding? Send the family to the mattress? A final, glorious last stand where I shoot a load of non-decision-makers to prove whatever my point was meant to be besides 'I have a gun and I'm going to shoot what I can?' Quick, OctopusHearts, put the guys on notice, we need to take action to prevent all out war and save the fam-...oh wait, that's right. I'm me; of course I fucking don't need to do that.

Oh shit, he can read my thoughts! Crew Members: 27. I am going to have a roast for dinner. 27 is like 3 away from being full and those places are in reserve. I like some gravy with it. So it seems like I have a pretty big family still, but who am I kidding? I'm going to have lots of gravy.

Sorry igfp I thought you were the one telling me what I thought? But seeing how you brought it up, so what if he hasn't come to the streets and made speeches? Is there a rule somewhere that I missed that says we all have to make speeches to reach the rank of Don? Some folks like to talk, like me, I never shut up. In fact Curtis told me not so long ago that I never shut up.

Some others don't feel the need to talk unless they have something earth shatteringly important to say. All that is required to be a leader is that you open an HQ somewhere and you invite hew-mons to fill it and work for you. I think Tetley has succeeded on that front.

The only people he needs to talk to are his friends and those who work for him. Why should he have to come out here and entertain you? He's the leader of a Crew, not Bob Hope.

What's a drop-down box? I don't understand this concept. However, if your members are disloyal, which many are, you'll be far easier to kill when the time comes. 

It's a much greater concept than solely to be marked as disloyal in your heart. It doesn't just come down to your crew. Community wide, no one has any faith in your words.

igfp, so in your mind its better for those on top to come out here and talk nonsense than to wait for there to be something important to say? I wonder why so many folks hated Anton and his kin so much in that case, the guy was never done talking rubbish. The man should have been Godfather Chairman of all six cities by your reckoning.

Sure in times past there was an emphasis placed on public speaking, but things havent been that way in a long, long time. I mean I'm over 100 years old and I can barely remember it. Next you'll be claiming you need subcrews and a 200 man crew to get Godfather. And yeah, i may even surpass Tetley's street activity today at the rate I'm going, but as I already stated thats because I like to chew the fat, Tetley not so much, have you any idea how hard it is to brew a decent cup of tea? And thats just your silly hew-mon tea, its not even Tarkalean tea.

Truth of the matter is that as long as you arent in power you guys will never be happy. Curtis could ride through town like Lady Godiva shooting $1000 bills from his ass like a rambunctious confetti machine and Grin could be kissing hands and shaking babies, what ever that means, and yiu guys still wouldn't be happy. So I think I'll raise the price of tissues to 2 strips of latinum instead, after all a Ferengi has to make anliving somehow.
