On the rugged streets of Detroit, outside the offices of the Hooligan Horde, Mercy stood before a bold and gripping poster. There was a giddy excitement in her eye and she spoke with a childlike charm.

And... we're off!

Ladies and not ladies, welcome to this, the launch of the Fairest Day at the Races event! Don your best, beastly bonnet and tailiest tailcoat, we're going to the ponies! Before we begin, I'd like to shout out to the people who made this event possible.

• LSD, for significant portion of the prize pot and for allowing the even to run under the "Fairest" moniker
• Cinnamon, who surrendered her winnings from the 30 word story so that our prizes could be greater here
• Gimpanzee for donating to the prize pot
• And City Hall, for doubling our eligible donations!

Now, there is a full guide to this event up in OOC Avenue, but I must insist, you do not need to read it all to be able to take part. The participation aspect of it is covered below. 

To take part in an event, you will need to:

Step 1. Take this document and view the LIVE RACE page to view the current horses racing

Then, just choose a horse!

• To help make the decision, you can view the HORSES page to see their historic performance against other horses
• Track type, conditions, distance and weight should also be considered, available on the LIVE RACE page

Step 2. You will then state your guess in a back alley location provided for each race from the LIVE RACE page

Step 3. You will then either:

• Attend the live race in the coffee shop #Racy
• Or witness the results as they happen in the corresponding business district for that race

Some points of clarification:

• There is no entry fee or submission needed from you
• You do not need to take part in every race, but it increases your chances of winning

How to win?

Correctly guess the winning horse as many times as possible.

• For every winning guess, the you will get 3 points
• If your horse takes 2nd place, you get 2 points
• If your horse takes 3rd place, you get 1 point

A leaderboard will be within the document pack I have provided, after the first race. Prizes will then be distributed based on the highest performing users.

The remainder of the pot will be distributed among the participants. If there are too many participants to evenly distribute, they will be scattered across the floor of coffee shop #Racy after the final race has taken place.

And finally, when?

Races will take place two at a time, starting in Seattle and ending in Philadelphia.

• I will announce here that there is a new race about to take place
• I will provide my back alley (my back alley) location for you to give me the name of the horse you think is going to win
• That location will be open for a minimum of 48 hours to allow everyone to get their guess in

Races will then be held, I will disclose the results, update the leaderboard and announce the next city!

Just over 12 hours left to get your guesses in for the first two races. Even if you select a random horse, you've got a better chance at winning than not playing!

First race has been run, we have some scores on the doors. If you didn't get a guess in for Seattle, don't worry! You can still get involved in the next two and you've still got a good chance to catch up! Second race runs today at around 20:00, then we're setting up races three and four, Viva Las Vegas!

Ol' One Percent is just getting warmed up you will all see. Check him out in Las Vegas at the next set of races and he'll blow you away. 

I can't wait to see how the second race in Seattle turns out. 

We've had a great couple of races in Seattle, however we bid farewell to the Emerald city and are on the road to Nevada! The leaderboard has been updated, our horses are getting refreshed. Make sure you check performance of the horses, as any incidents they incurred from the last two races may affect their performance this time.

My apologies for my tardiness!

Thank you for the interest and involvement from those who did participate. I'll unfortunately be cancelling and refunding everything to the trainers and city hall on behalf of my mother. 

She was hoping for wider backing and engagement on this, only one City Head got involved. When your city heads don't have the time or effort to engage in a community building event, it means they're not willing to commit to a period of peace. I felt it coming, in the number of Mails that went unanswered. 

We just can't stop shooting each other for long enough to care about more than how long we are at the top, instead of what you do with that time. 

We deserve leaders who want to be remembered for something more than just being paranoid psychopaths.

It was a fabulous and engaging piece of work and i for one thank you for it.
