there was a series called RAW where camera crews filmed inside american prisons, very entertaining, like watching a train wreck, you can't turn away...

I recently watched ITV drama Des, with David Tennant as the character and it was pretty good.

A good show I use to watch a lot back in the day was 'Gangland' that show was pretty awesome! It would cover different gangs all over America,  crimes they committed and often times interview members/ex-gang members and police involved with them. I wanna say it was from the history channel as well but before it went full ice road truckers.

Aaron Hernandez: The mind of an assassin.

Depicts the life of the NFL rising star, his mental/health issues and and with time he became a serial killer. Every american probably heard about this, but nice doc for Europeans to watch.

Making a Murderer,   Most people I know have seen this one.  It sucks you right in and keeps you guessing.   I wouldn't be surprised to see a third season of this come out. 

I'm a big fan of some of the shows mentioned already. 

Forensic Files First 48 Gangland Snapped is another good one. 

But if you have Netflix you guys should check out the new Unsolved Mysteries, if you're a fan of the original show you should already know what to expect I highly recommend it. 

Evil Genius on Netflix - a crazy heist organized by some batshit crazy people that put an explosive collar on a pizza guy's neck who served as the bagman.  Horrifying, but a good 4 part watch.

I'd also agree Don't F*** with cats was really good! It is so insane it's almost hard to believe its real life and not some wack jobs book idea. The way they set up the episodes and ending on cliff hangers was actually really well done and my initial watch had me going through almost every episode immediately. 

 know its not a tv show but if you enjoy reading read anything that Mathhew Cox has wrote and watch all his interviews on youtube 

True Crime Documentary, Mindhunter, Has 2 seasons and tells the story of several serial killers acted out in a movie.  I highly recommend it.  I wish they would make a 3rd series but the show has been canceled.  It shows how the FBI gathered information and put together the profile of serial killers.  Just amazing show really.  I am going to watch it again.  I read the book already but the series is way cool.  The book is by John Douglas an FBI profiler.  He was very good at it.  In the book they say there are currently 2000 serial killers world wide.  If they don't get caught it's because either they are in prison for another crime or, they are dead.  The only one that I know of that didn't get caught was The Zodiac Killer.  It is assumed he died and that he was Arthur Lee Allen.  Enjoy.  It's on Netflix

I have not looked to see if it's been mentioned, but Evil Lives Here is pretty good. The only problem with it is that you get highly frustrated with the family or friends of some of these monsters, there were SO many red flags, yet they chose to look the other way, time and again. 

I wouldn't say it is necessarily a crime documentary, but I very much enjoyed the chronicles of the iceman killer on early HBO. I remember it when I was about 30 years old.

I've been watching interrogation psychology reviews on youtube. It's pretty good. It's really chilling how people lie in the face of adversity. The pivots they make when their arguments get folded. It's intriguing to say the least. I say check it out!
