That's a good call, Robert. The "grumpy old author" movie is Finding Forrester. I feel like they've made a bunch of copies of that movie that have been bad, but that was a good film.

I am truly saddened by this. I truly enjoyed watching his works on the screen.  Well versatile to the screen and all around gentlemen. Rest well Mr Connery.

This was indeed very sad news. He was THE face of a few James Bond movies.

When I heard he passed away I immediately searched for Diamonds are Forever and watched the whole movie again

An absolute tragedy. Daniel Craig posted a heart felt tribute to Connery that made me feel compassionate. Of all the Bonds, Craig held his own, but Sean Connery was the best Bond after all. A legend. May he rest in peace

What a total bummer! He was a great actor in every movie he was in. I was gutted when I heard the news. Btw Robert, the grumpy old author movie was "Finding Forester". RIP Sean Connery.

A great personality.

Every time his movies as 007 are played on TV, i never change channel.

His performance in "Red October" i think was fantastic.

Moreover, i suggest you to watch a video on youtube where he recites the "ITHACA"  of Cavafy. 

Such a good and multi-talented actor. Although he's most remembered for playing 007 I really liked his role in Indiana Jones and the Las Crusade. The Untouchables is another good movie of his too. 

I was very sad to have us lose this man. He had so many films in many different genres. We certainly have been blessed with all he has done for us movie buffs.

RIP to the legend. I didnt watch any of his James Bond movies but he was always in the top actors for that role everyone talked about. I remember watching Entrapment with my mom. I really liked that movie. Had a lot of great actors. Sean will never be forgotten

I watch movies but i don't really care for the actor name (most of the times) until this happens .

I search for the actor and then i find out that he was in some of my favorite movies.

Sean Connery was a legend the OG James Bond. 

He was one great actor and i watched few movies. My favorite was 007 since he gave a lot charm by that character that actually isn't any actor that would to fit good at. Rip Mister Connery

What an utter legend, such a bloody shame to see him leave this world.

I really do hope they re-name Edinburgh Airport after him, he is Edinburgh's favourite son after all. Shouldn't be hard to find signatures for the petition! Think they're up to about 1300 by now.
