I remember as young kid watching my grandpa watching James Bond films, they were good memories and I have always associated James Bond with Sean Connery. And always associated James Bond with my Grandpa who has also passed, so in general a sad time nonetheless. 

He was a magnificent actor, not just in Bond but in films like 'The man who would be King' and 'the untouchables' (with a very scottish 'irish' accent')

I shall watch him say 'yesh moneypenny' one last time in his honour.

one of the first movies I ever watched with him was James Bond and was one of the reasons why I collected the cars for 'em. It was fun. 

RIP Sean, you legend.

Will always be my favourite Bond. He was just the perfect man for that role. The Hunt for Red October is probably my favourite Connery movie though. It's a truly great thriller.

In all honesty, this one didn't fall with a terrible lot of surprise after his extended withdrawal from the public spotlight over the last few years of his life. He seemed like he was starting to get a little rough the last few times he'd appeared and I tend to think the decision to keep the focus on those close to him was probably for the best.

He was certainly a heartthrob for multiple generations alongside being one of the single most recognizable actors in the world. Hell of an accomplishment for anyone. Like most celebrities there were other sides of him of course and not all of them as pretty as most found his face to be, but this doesn't change his impact on film, culture, and the imagination of so many. A lot of broken hearts out there, but only because of all he managed to do and the full life he led.

I can't say I'm a fan of the Bond franchise, but I do remember watching it as a kid. And for me, of the ones so far, he definitely seemed to embody the character to the fullest. Seeing him in other movies was more enjoyable, though I've mostly seen the ones in which he plays the grumpy older mentor figure of some sort. It's definitely disconcerting to see such a constant fixture in our memories go like this. He was a contentious figure in a lot of ways; he will be missed.

Rest in peace to the fucking legend. I'll take my drink shaken not stirrrrred. Never got to watch the full start to finish on his James Bond flicks.

He has always been one of my favourite actors, also if I never watched any of his 007.

I remember liking a lot is partecipation in "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen".

Notwithstanding any other great work of his, I did love him in Red October. The only great movie adaptation of a Tom Clancy book, it was a great thriller -- and he carried the movie. Outstanding actor. 

Very sad, he was the best James Bond. 90 is a good run however. If I survive to 90 I will go happy :)

Shame that he's gone. He was a royal hell of an actor. RIP Mr. Connery

A bit of irony that Alex Trebek passes a week later. :-( While it was satirical, I'd like to think that the real Sean Connery is playing celebrity Jeopardy right now. :-(

Such a shame losing such legendary icons like Sean Connery and now Alex Trebek. Truly two remarkable men in their own right and will be surely missed. This year has been such a tragedy, including my own mom passing away. I wish I had a super power to wipe this year away. That doesnt make any sense but I guess I'm just not thinking straight right now. :(

What a shame, two great people down. What a terrible year. 2020 sucks. I understand that we can continue to watch Trebek Jeopardy through December with the final episodes airing Christmas week. I know what I'm doing this Christmas week, going to be sad. Its going to be strange to watch brand new stuff featuring people that died awhile back. Especially when the contestants are all telling him they love him and be strong. :(

RosaliaOrazia A Fine Madness is one of my favorite Sean Connery movies. It was so different and love the humor of that time. I was like James Bond if he retired and became a writer. 

BugsMoran  I enjoyed many of  Connery's movies as I grew up, my favorite movie he did is Darby O Gill and the little people. I loved this movie as a kid and I never knew Sean Connery was in it till he passed.
