Let's cut through the bollocks Boris.  This is what we understand the latest tier system to mean:

Tier 1: Pints

Tier 2: Pints with chips

Tier 3: No pints

When they tell you 99% of the country will be tier 2 or 3, and Wales, Scotland and N.Ireland will work a different way, it does make you wonder.  Especially on cross border travel between them

Declaring foreign countries subject to quarantine if people return from them: 

UK:

- comes into effect at 4am Saturday morning, having been declared on the thursday, at best, which totally screws everyone because people travel at the weekend and so have to rebuy tickets at the last minute at inflated prices ...

- basically all foreign countries are subject to quarantine

Switzerland:

- declared on the thursday or friday and comes into effect at 4am on the monday, allowing people returning at the weekend to use their existing bookings, and the potential leavers to cancel their arrangements.  

- only foreign countries or regions which have a higher infection rate than Switzerland

Basically the UK response is just completely incompetent

I don't k ow how lockdown tiers in areas is going to work.

Let's say for example I am from one location and the lockdown tier 3 is here but I work somewhere else should I travel there? And vice versa it's just going to be a shambles 

I just love how the rest of the world is still discussing all of the lockdown stuff, and attempting it...

And then Americans are over here like, "IT'S NOT REAL, OUR GOVERNMENT ONLY WANT'S TO SHUT US DOWN! THIS VIRUS IS A HOAX! IT'LL BE OVER AFTER THE ELECTION!"

And I'm just over here eating my popcorn because I'm watching and hearing about all of my friends in other countries deal with the same shit and realizing that people are so stupid. I've spoken to people who legitimately believe the entire world pandemic, is just an American hoax to shut only our country down and it's entirely political. -_-

All seems fine-ish here in Scotland.  I know what I can and can't do, just had a wedding.  we knew the limitations and expectations and it went without a hitch.  It's these bozos that absolutely MUST get rat arsed who bring it all down.

I am very thankful that the area I live is one of the few in the country to have been given tier 1 status, hopefully come the 16th when the review is due we remain in tier 1, the cases have steadily declined so fingers crossed

Where I live is currently Tier 3.  I bet we will be Tier 3 throughout the whole of December and into the new year.  I cant even remember what its like to go eat out with the family or meet up with friends...

Tier 2 is substantial meal with alcohol drinks. Just chips don't count here in the North West :(

Currently where I am we are tier 2 but my sons school emailed us and closed as 21 members of staff have had to go into self isolation so waiting for a tier 3 soon I guess. We have had one of the smallest infection rates so far but steadily on the climb.
