Yeah I think it would have been AWESOME with some multiplayer aspect. But maybe they'll add it in the future.

And I'm liking it. Like I mentioned, there are some things like bugs and AI that can be fixed. Also some of the economy stuff needs to be balanced. But overall, I think it's a decent game.

Is this just strictly a shooting game or is there actual management behind it? I was always picturing this as one of those manager sims but its sounded like its an x-com instead. Still probably going to pick it up anyways.

No there's definitely the management. You can gain numerous rackets and build up the security, ambiance, and other things. Also manage the production of alcohol and quality. And if you don't want to gun it out all the time, there's the option of buying buildings instead of taking them over. Also there's a "monopoly" aspect to it as well. When you get hotels it boosts your bonuses based on how many of certain businesses you have. So yeah there's a fair amount of management to it.

So it's fun and all - there's a lot of potential here in my opinion but right now it is extremely buggy and I think some rackets could definitely be updated.

I've not played at all, but I originally thought it was very X-COM looking.

It looks fun, I've been watching a guy play a bit recently and it definitely looks interesting. Could see myself sinking time into it, but I think i'll wait for the bugs to get fixed before buying this early.

So I tried Empire of Sin and I like it. Reminds me of Civilization. Unfortunately, Empire is getting shelved in favor of Cyberpunk. I'll circle back later though, I'm sure.

Velvet, I'm not sure what platform you're on. But when you're near all of your crew members there should be a group button. Then it will highlight your boss and all of the nearby members. Then you can ambush all together. You cannot use the random guards/thugs, just the ones your hired in the black book.

that's ok! i appreciate the help, there's not much advice on google with the game on switch as it's scored pretty shit, honestly though it's not that painful :) how are you finding it?

It's not the best game I've played, but it also isn't the worst either. I think a lot of the gripes about the game will be resolved with bug fixes and adjustments down the road. I always wanted a Mafia game that was modern, so this definitely scratched that itch. But I see the issues many folks are talking about. And the game can get a little bland after a couple of playthroughs. It has lots of potential though.

Absolutely agree  King_Solomon, was looking for similar, I guess trying to keep it authentic if you die you die, it'll get boring fast but it's much like this i think.. it would be great if it was Multiplayer or online so you can join other crews similar to this... I haven't made it far as had to stop playing for a day or two as i nearly threw my controller :X
