Empire of Sin is great game, but there is a bug on a certain quest with Maple Association, they give you all their alcohol to "keep it" for a month and all your breweries stop (as per quest) but once you are done, you have to re-open them and the bug is there, they remain closed. Only way out is to sell and buy them back (resets everything to 1, all the upgrade) But in general I love the game and the only drawback is that earning money is a bit weird.

I had the correct alcohol (from the screen) and I had like full upgraded brewery and all that and few of those night clubs and still they made like 200$ or 300$. Full upgrade, correct alcohol.

This is a great thread. Glad I saw this, I have had my eye on this for some time. 

It reminds me of a PC game back in the day call Organized crime. It was more of a strategy mob game

I have the game is pretty damn good honestly unless your not into turn based combat besides that you choose a gangster from the 1920s fictional an non fictional and you become a boss in a neighborhood that could expand to even running a city of rackets.

Has anyone seen any fixes for some of the bugs yet?  I haven't played it for a few days since it would crash on my PS4 after a certain amount of time playing it.  

So is this game really as bad as the reviews say it is? I normally insta buy Paradox games but the reviews scared me off here

 Madoka it really depend son how high you expectations are and which console you play on.

I read most reviews regarding the switch and honestly i think they just were comparing to say a PS4 of xbox one.

Only thing that ticks me off (this maybe only a switch issue) but the text is bloody tiny to read from a decent distance from the tv, My Hubby which has been actively playing Assassins Creed said it's better than he anticipated as not many people have been successful  in an mafia style game well. Also depends on your gaming style, are you a slasher or a tactical? 

My advise it go head a hard copy or the game, give it a go, if not a fan trade it in :)

Go for it.  If you think you'll enjoy it - I think it's worth getting for sure.

Agreeing with TTG there, because was so close to buying the game but considering that I've heard it is a bit short, wanna know if there are updates of the sort that add a little more to the game. 

Have not personally played it but was a bit interested in ti and read up on reviews. Most seem to agree that the idea is interesting but that the system is way too complex and it is just a meh instead good game.

I've been busy with work and other games lately, but Empire of Sin was fun. I will definitely get back into it once I need my mafia fix. Right now, I think it's in a state where people should only get it if you know you'll find value in it. if not, wait for a sale or for more updates. But me personally, I enjoyed it and will continue to play.

The more that I look into this game, the more I decide to wait until it becomes half off and throws in a few of the DLC for good measure. Paradox published it so I'm 99% certain there will be 50 DLC by the end of 2021 and at least three will fix most of the problems people have with it.

Yeah depending on what platform you're on I see a lot of Empire of Sin sales. Mostly for PC. But I agree DLC will be definitely great for this game.

I did end up trying the game as I got it real cheap.

100% theres an idea there, 100% the dlc will make it better, but dont buy this at full price 

Going back and reading the posts, I'm starting to realize I shouldn't have pre-ordered this game :< really depressing find... Cyberpunk was also a bad investment....

Honestly the game in terms of the mafia theme and turn based tactics looks pretty fun, and from the screenshots something I'd probably be interested in playing, but then you get to the reviews. Seems like the consensus is to either wait months for the ai and bugs to be fixed, or to get it way cheaper. Kind of a shame, since I don't think there's many games like this, if any. 

Guys and girls, this game just got a lot better with patch 1.3 I really recommend trying it out again!

It can still get a lot better, but it's a really good game. Gangsters: Organized Crime is still better, but EoS has the potential to get there.
