Chance recommends Sera move to a unique spot. She accepts his recommendation, and he moves her to a private corner table in another VIP Section close to the stage.

Duke's orchestra was warming up. 

The Elegant Mister Ellington would come on stage in 30 minutes. He was running a little late, issues with his wardrobe.

The environment was hyping Sera energy up to a level she never experience before; the wings were not enough; she felt famished

Sera asked Chance what would he recommend eating that was spicy. He calls off a list of different dishes, making it hard for Sera to choose. She tells him to surprise her.

Ten minutes later,

Sera have a bowl of Forbidden black rice and Mango & Avocado Salad with Cilantro-Lime Vinaigrette sitting in front of her with a spicy Sunrise drink to compliment it. Next Chance sits a small tray of Caribbean Jerk Angus Burger Bites with Pineapple Guacamole on the table. Last, he sits a bowl of Cashew and Dark Chocolate Brittle with Sichuan Peppercorns for her to sample. 

The food was spicy and smelled terrific as she picked up a fork to sample her salad first suddenly she interrupted.

Thomas Crown was on his way back from the west coast. On the way back to New York. He figured, he may as well take a day or two off in Detroit. He always did enjoy the mo town vibe. He also had some friends running the operations out of Detroit. So it was a natural pit stop for him to stop in Detroit. So he got off his plane ride, that Harper was always kind enough to setup. He hopped in his car to go to the hotel. On his way to the hotel. He noticed, a place with some original structure around the place. He noticed the sign that it was a restaurant. He had also, heard that Gunther owned a place of such magnitude. He put one and one together. And decided to step into the establishment. As Thomas walked in. He was pretty impressed with the ambiance. There was some live music to the back, with the folks he noticed dancing. He saw the booths where people were just hanging out and having their meals. And obviously that gigantic structure with ladders. 

Well looks like Gunther has built a hell of a place out here. 

Thomas took off his hat and walked to a booth and took a seat. As he got settled in, a waitress came up to him and offered him a menu. 

Thanks hun. I really appreciate it. So I hear this place belongs to my friend Gunther. Is he around? 

Thomas took out his cigar and lit it as he started to look thru the menu. 

Please do let him know I am here, if he's around. Also, lets start with a salad and a soup. Ill take whatever is the chefs special today. Will decide on the entree, in a little. 

Thomas leaned back into the booth. Relaxed and puffed away his cigar, as he unwinded from the day. Awaiting his order. 

Duke was looking dapper in all white. He was even better in person. His stage presence was magical. Sera was undecided on which song was her favorite.

Chance comes back to the table to check on her. So far, Sera has gradually knocked a dent in her meal.

This time around, she asks for a drink with coconut in it, Sera eyes are still gazing at the Duke with fascination. 

She has a new respect and admiration for Mr. Ellington. Chance shared more facts about Mr. Ellington, some facts she didn't know, such as his band name is Cotton Club Orchestra.

The Cotton Club, Sera, heard of but never visited. The next time she was in New York, she made time to visit the legendary club.

Duke was finishing up "Doin' The Voom Voom" and was sliding into “Caravan” which Sera fell in love with immediately

Chance smiles and excuses himself again. He was enjoying his shift today, more so than normal. He believes it had something to do with Sera. He has served his share of diners of all different backgrounds, but this evening he felt as if he was on cloud nine. Normally, his feet would be sore for working long hours, but today not the case at all.

Sera slides off her heels as she tries to memorize the lyric to “Keep a Song in your Soul” She was unawares that more folks were watching her. That glow of hers was Oh La La.

Being cooped up in his office all day was getting to Takkar so he decided to go out for dinner tonight. He knew a place that was nearby, Distant Memories, which was owned by Gunther. When he reached the odd looking building he was intrigued by the design. After handing his keys to the valet, he took a stroll around the restaurant. The hue of the building changed as he reached the opposite side and that combined with the strange shape of the structure gave it a futuristic appearance. He had no idea Gunther had such vision.

Done with his inspection, he returned to the front door and walked inside the building. By then his stomach had begun to grumble and he looked around for an empty booth. In no time at all a waitress appeared and handed him a menu which had a wide variety of options. But it was the words at the end that caught his attention.

"So you make custom dishes do you?" he asked the waitress.

"Yes sir. Would you like something that is not on the menu?"

"Hmm," he scratched his chin. "Yes I would. Is it possible to create an Eggplant Parmesan?" he asked her.

"Of course. And is there anything you would like to be added to it?"

"Well other than the eggplant I'd like tomato, zucchini, garlic and basil."

"As you wish sir," she noted down his order and left the booth.
