Gordon stands before the gathering crowd, his head bowed and still, as the ember of a smouldering cigarette falls to the ground between his feet. He drops the cigarette and firmly extinguishes it beneath the heel of his shoe and places his hands deep into the side pockets of his coat. It was cold that morning by the dockside, and many fires burned providing a welcome break from the icy northern wind. He raises his head and looks upon many faces, some of friends, family and associates. Faces of people he knew of, heard of; people with reputation, men and women of honour and those without honour, the meek, the crippled, the old, the wise and the young. The very heart of this world stood before him. Burying his hands deeper into his pockets in an attempt to retain a little heat, he takes a long breath of air and exhales almost immediately, the chill on his lungs causing him to wrap the coat a little tighter around his body. He began to speak in a raised tone so all would hear his words.
I stand before you men and women of this world with a heavy heart. I have received news of the closure of the only publication which is made freely available to all who visit this hallowed ground - The streets. Yes indeed, word has it that the aptly titled “Chuckle Knuckle” will be no more. No more will people sit in awe of the trials and tribulations of the men and women who stand with us, and those who stood before us. No more will men and women sit smiling at the events leading up to major upheavals, major failures and more importantly, the major fuck ups. No more will the future be told in such a manner that only we as a society can understand. No more will people read in anticipation of a mention, a reference or even a scornful remark. No more will everyone have the opportunity to contribute. No more will we have the opportunity to leave this life we lead, even momentarily and immerse ourselves in a world which offers an alternative to what we all believe to be true.
I would ask for a stay of execution on said publication. Our world has many facets, many turns, even many flaws. We have only one who has showed the inclination, the will, and the ability to offer the briefest of respite from this world we hold dear, all for free and all without demanding something in return, except our ears and eyes.
I respectfully request that the "Chuckle Knuckle" returns to publication. All those who agree, say "aye!" |

Alexander, I'm the individual responsible for pilfering your billfold each afternoon. You don't expect that stinking flangeclamp Chuckle to wastssbe his precious time on your miserable existence, do you?
I also agree to bringing The Knuckle publication back to our streets. |

In all seriousness, The Knuckle needs to return. It was the shinning beacon of hope in our streets, the one thing everyone within our cities could read, discuss, and enjoy. While he may have ruffled a few feathers along the way, no one can deny the incredible writing and entertainment of this paper. Bring back The Knuckle, bring back the entertainment to the streets! |

I don't know anybody who doesn't the Chuckle Knuckle to continue
But as Chuckle has pointed in, he didn't stop the press because he no longer enjoyed writing it.... its important to Chuckle and to the publication that he's given the artistic license and freedom to 'Do-His-Ting' without fear that people will read between the lines or misinterpret his best intentions of 'taking the piss'
And until that day comes, I fear the quill pen will stay in the ink-well. Shame
Otherwise.. Aye |

While i understand quite a few people want the Chuckle Knuckle back including myself, and people from my own city. I don't think this is the way to go about doing it. |

Im 100% up for this petition. And therfore my AYE is up there with the rest of the AYE's. I've always enjoyed reading Chuckle Knuckles installments. This petition isn't going to work. Just like Pariso nicely said - "its important to Chuckle and to the publication that he's given the artistic license and freedom to 'Do-His-Ting' without fear that people will read between the lines or misinterpret his best intentions of 'taking the piss' ". Therefore, people need to relax their shoulders and let it ease by if Chuckle mentions you. I'm sure it's not a personal thing and that he's only doing it for a laugh. Maybe if Chuckle goes over the top yes you should inbox and tell him that how you felt about the edition. But hey... that's just how I feel.! Have a nice day people. Imma finish off with a final |
