...It is not you. The last relative of your bloodline just went on a rogue spree, killed a few Godfather or maybe killed a random MadeMan. He/She was bored, received anonymous very credible tips, or was just under disguise plotting to kill. We get it. YOU are not your father or your mother. YOU as a new thug fresh of the boat have no correlation to the action of your forefathers. How could you, right? We get it. Please. The crews across the land are ready to bring you in, house you, and give you protection as soon as you set foot on these shores. We get it. YOU will work hard an are the definition of loyal. We get it. YOU are new, you have never held a gun in your life but damn looks like you have years of experience using that thing. WE get it. Just because your bloodline is known to do certain crimes time and time again it in no way shape or form has anything to do with you.
We get it. |

PilotPhil looks at Elsa_Granhiert and understands her feelings, yet he still feels he should reply I do believe that without you having named the names, I understand what this is about. I read this morning's papers, too.. PilotPhil bowed his head and was silent for a couple of seconds and then continued Then about Ariana's actions, without saying she did a good thing, I must add that this kind of action is part of our world. It hasn't been the first time this happened, nor will it be the last. After all, we are all criminals. Clearly, she has been able to stay under the radar. It does make you wonder how crazy fast Ariana has been training and building, seeing her limited age. Phil looked at his watch and noticed he had to rush to be less than reasobly late for his next flight, so he concluded From what they told me, my ancestors have often heard people use the phrase 'rank up and do something about it' being spoken to newly arrived gangsters. That's exactly what Ariana did here. If you want to suggest ways to prevent this from happening, I would be very interested to discuss those.. Now if you will excuse me, my plane got philled up and I need to leave for now. Thank you for bringing your view to the Streets. |

Then explain why crewleaders give out positions of power to thugs fresh into this thing of ours! All this world is about is who you are, what your forefathers or mother’s did. No one is given a clean slate around here. |

I just want to say that since my line has returned to these shores, for the most part I have been given a pretty clean slate. So that isn't entirely accurate. |

Good morning PilotPhil. Although on the whole I agree with what you have said this day, I do feel like it's necessary to make one correction, else some young impressionable mafiosi might get the wrong ideas from you.
I've seen some similar sentiment from others in the coffee shops and streets who seem to he under the same illusion as you are here that the gods will protect you from being bloodlined. I feel it is important here that everyone understands the fine difference between "bloodlining" and griefing/harassment. There is no rule against bloodlining. Nor has there ever been in this world. The cheese Lord himself has stated plenty of times that sometimes that kind of thing is necessary. If someone does something over and over, keeps making the same mistakes, with no attempt to change their ways, then they are no longer mistakes, they are a pattern and a red flag. It is unfortunate, but at times the only way to combat such people is by bloodlining them, and the gods recognize this fact. Allow me to reference the Scripture.
I have bloodlined, I have been bloodlined, and most likely anyone whos bloodline has been here for an extended period of time can say the same. Bloodlining in itself is not against any rules: it's when it becomes a toxic thing, when it goes beyond just their action in our world, that is when it becomes an issue. Bloodlining just because you don't like them or because they won't send you booty pics = harassment. Bloodlining because they're a repetitive rogue-cunt is acceptable. There isn't a rule against purging, either. While it's a disgusting tactic that most people hate, it's just that - a strategy. People are well within their rights to employ that strategy, as we have seen plenty of times before, if they wish to do so. It is up to the community as a whole as to how they respond to such a tactic - the gods are not here to swoop in and save the day (unless the purging reaches a point of no return where it is negatively effecting how our world operates as a whole). They have jobs to do in the cloud in order to keep our thing running. Now let me be clear - this type of action should only be utilized if absolutely necessary, and even then sparingly. It's not something that should be undertaken lightly or without caution. But in certain cases, it is necessary. This current regime has done a better job than almost any in allowing people to live and build without fear of such things. And yet, after the past few weeks, I fear that track record of leniency is being tested. How many rogues will it be before they say 'fuck it' and start dropping bodies of anyone they don't recognize or vouch for? I fear some people's memory has become too short term, and they have forgotten how bad things were in the regime prior to this. Sadly, their glorious rogue actions in the name of change or "not holding hands" is only making our world more susceptible to the kind of mass bloodline purging we have come to believe will never happen again. Be careful what you wish for. Now that I've thoroughly been a downer, allow me to touch on this:
I agree one hundred percent with the term "rank up and do something about it." The current regime did exactly that last summer. But I fear their success has given some people rose tinted glasses when it comes to how such a thing works. That phrase is a bit of a loaded term, because it isn't quite as simple as it sounds. Every action has a reaction. If you rank up and do something about it, but are not successful, or only prune off a few bits, your children are likely to have a tougher time of it than you did. You can't just kill a few people and expect the world to fall at your feet. In my humble farmer's opinion, the best way to prevent things like what we saw happen last night from happening is to keep people happy, safe, and alive. For most people that is enough. But some people just want to cause trouble, and there is no way to change that. |

Hmmm, perhaps I am reading it differently, but I heard Elsa's words from the exact opposite point of view. To me, I believe that its more of a plea for change. We are not our parents, we are us. We are a new generation. Whilst in the past, this line has been blurred with people still believing that the actions of their parents followed them to the law, its on us to recognise when times change. As Shayna has pointed out, things arent always as black and white as people like to believe. Even when presented with the opportunity to allow folk to change, they simply cannot. So what does it take for us to finally wake up and realise that for all those years when our ancestors died repeatidly, the cries of "Purge" being heard in dark alleyways, we have finally turned a corner. Many will be stuck in their ways, not wanting to actually open their eyes and properly look around them, yet we are in a different era whether you like to believe it or not, thats simply fact. You can be given the tools and the area to perform your duty but its still on you as an individual to see the people around you and realise that within yourself, you must learn to accept the change too. |

PilotPhil had just succeeded in another perfect landing on the wrong airport and got off the plane with the steward that had accompanied him in the cockpit when he heard Wayne reply on him. I stand corrected, Wayne. Honestly, I did not know and was convinced that this actually was a written rule. In a way, I am glad it is not. And also, I totally understand your ancestors have been bloodlined. Phil smiled, remembering what his forefathers have told them about their joint past. Still, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Chances have been massive during the current regime. And there are multiple ways to interpret that specific phrase. The way I used it, it was not meant as an inspirational quote, it was just a way one could interpret it, as I believe Ariana has. Frowning If you say we have to keep people safe, happy and alive, we both know it's a utopia, don't we? It's like the airline industry, you now see these minor companies: Delta, American, Pan Am.. Do you actually believe they can grow happily ever after if they are competing with a huge ass company like Phil Airlines? There's an expiration date for anything and anyone. There's no space for two godfathers per district.. After Tyki_Mikk spoke, PilotPhil turned his head I may have been wrong at the airport I landed on this morning, I may have been wrong about the rules for bloodlining, so why can't I be wrong about interpreting what Elsa_Granhiert said? You could be right. Let's ask Elsa.. Elsa? Before Elsa_Granhiert answered, PilotPhil replied on the last part of Tyki's reply Then, Tyki_Mikk.. I don't think you specifically mean me, do you, when you speak of people feeling we are living under a purging regime? 'Cause I feel we do not. I feel quite safe speaking my mind on the Streets, unlike some of my forefathers have, and if I am to catch a bullet one day, I am quite sure it's for different reasons than speaking on the side of the landing strip. |

As much as people say we are a new generation, we come with a clean slate as if new, blah blah blah, most people know in the back of their head, if someone has fucked people over, especially if it is either tell them, i don't particularly want you in my crew or slap a do not contact on it, etc. |

Hardon places the bloody suitcase down and sweeps hair over the bald patch to sort of look mildly respectable....sort of.... Elsa_Granhiert I agree sometimes out of the mouths of babes right? Maturity is measured in many ways not just days on the shore....it is an interesting dichotomy this though....in one way we are not in kindergarten with all protection and health and safety ensured and in another the same old same old is a bit.....well at best predictable. Maybe the line lies somewhere between? Know who's who, choose who you roll with or ignore, ask if you don't know or just simply shine and be that first in your family to shine and grab a crew - this is the way it went for my ancestors....at first - then I have to agree you need to know people a bit at least for the paranoid people to have reassurances that you are 'ok' and safe etc. I'm not convinced this world id designed to be safe - neither should it be rogue city either.....surely the best leaders are those with a measure of both I think I remember your father / mother or hey kid I think you have something special I am in to invest in you. That is the measure and leaders live or die by those complex choices risks and alliances sometimes....we have all seen it too often. I guess I need to get my arse off the fence on this one as it is getting painful to be blunt.....shine or winge, do or die, new or old ask and the answer is either yes or no, use skills that don't just mean drug runs to work out friendships or whatever you want to call them....use all skills not just mummy or daddy was x or it isn't fair you are all so closed you give no one a chance. Gary I know nothing about you except your words here and I applaude you for that...I think responses might be divided - how fantastic for a street discussion - as it exactly should be. For me I have expereince of both, maybe that makes me lucky, or a hard worker or a good communicator or naive.....time I guess for us all tells.... |

Riley wonders to himself after hearing the speech “ do they get it ? Do they really ? I don’t think some do.” I really don’t think you really get it or anyone does . People put fingers at these rogue and wonder why they do what they do . Do people ever stop pointing fingers and ask why ? In this thing of ours this world is known for bloodshed . It’s known for backstabbing and traitors. I’ve been around for awhile and it’s never a time when someone doesnt turn on his or her own GF or crew . It’s never a time when one doesn’t turn on they own city . People hold grudges that’s just in our nature you can’t please everyone . People be feeling their bloodline got wiped in a war for no reason so they seek revenge. People feel like they was disrespected so they seek action on their own terms . You have to sit back and understand what some leaders done in there past for rogues to seek them out . Not everyone is innocent . Maybe some rogues are goofy in their attempts I would admit ,but not everyone . We never get the full story of events for wars and such . Sometimes the winning party never comes out and explain to the masses . That can also be a reason for rogues . Some do it just to do it for shits and giggles . People want change and want to shape the world how they see fits . Rogues will never leave and bloodlining these potential people won’t work. That would just prove the reason why so do what they do .Until people reallly understand this then people will never get it or understand how these rogues operate or why they do what they do . |

I thank you for your kind words hardon-withasuitcase, the truth is most people don't want to lose what they have when they have it for speaking up. I honestly think more people should speak up as i would guess the majority hate being slaightered. As much as is constantly said, we don't have purging anymore. We still see cities falls, and peoples offspring only rejoin, re-rank for so long before lashing out or leaving. I think is hard to break through for many and it links very well into RileyFreeman's comments from both sides. |
