Stewing in her cell after range enveloped her, threatening a Corrupt Agent that resided at the Bronx station if he didn't clear his act up and hustle harder at gun point wasn't a toleratable offence seeing the pig squealed on her fraudulent plan. Resulting her stuck behind bars.
Jacqueline needed coin, bad, drinking herself into a state was a frequent occurrence since her Boss the former Godmother Velvet of Los Angeles brutal murder in Downtown. Inherenting the woman's business in Philly and all she owned was daunting as shit, not something she planned nor ever wanted.
Grief strinkened her, Velvet took her in when everyone turned their backs on her, seeing her nothing more than a pleasure hole, not seeing her beauty or worth,  Velvet saw past it all, past the Sass, the venom she'd occasionally produce, saw past her pretty face and focused on her dreams.

Their conversations pooled her mind, she knew she couldn't slink further into the abyss of her drunken state,  though Jacqueline enjoyed feeling numb, her feelings masked with amber liquid. The buzz wearing off sobriety started to form, hunched over in her hazy state with her arms rested on her thighs, heels flung to the far side of her cell, muttering under her breath.
"Fuckin pig...good for nothin son of a.... " hearing a baton  ting on the metal  bars, pausing mid sentence she peered up at the officer grimacing, seething.

" Yer lucky day... some smuck is bailing yer ass outta here Jacqueline, paid a decent  coin too... he ya pimp or somethin?" His tone cocky, cunning waiting for her to snap, any excuse to keep her locked up here.

Turning her head towards the well dressed man standing in the hallway, her brow quirked in attempts to recognise her  saviours  face.

Antony marched down the prison hallway for the 21st time this week, a lucky number nonetheless and his most expensive bail so far. If this was blackjack he would have taken the House for a walk to the bank.

It was routine after all. The stifling humidity or the unbearable stench he didn't even notice anymore, the rhythmic sound of two pairs of oxfords tapping against the pavement was almost hypnotic.

The sound of the baton against bars landed him back to reality as the officer unlocked the cell and released bailout 21. When he proceeded throwing out insults, Antony immediately turned to the newly-freed woman and shook his head slightly to seriously discourage any witty response.

"Thank you for your help officer. I would appreciate if you could keep such comments to yourself when you are talking to my client."

Tony would give a sideways tilt of his head to Jacqueline, a signal for her to get up and follow.

Giving the stranger a curt nod, while slightly suspicious of him, standing to her feet walking over to her heels, daintily sliding on her  black Louis Vuitton with a gold heel, her brow still quirked maintaining eye contact with him. Admiring the man's sharp yet cool tongue a smirk played on her lips, adjusting her focus to the officer, a glint of mischievousness emerged in her eyes as she scoffed sauntering over to him.

"Your just jealous I shut you down... it's not a good look Mister Brandt." her shoulder with slight force brushed past him making her way to the gent in a trenchcoat, Slipping her faux fur coat on to cover her frame, nipping her lower lip eyeballing him head to toe, once out of ear shot of the officer she whispered

""So... who do I owe thanks to Sir..." pausing mid sentence gesturing towards the man, her tone coy with a hint of sultry

Report Post Tip

The officer responded to her but just when they both were out of earshot, most likely every synonym word in the dictionary related to one of the most ancient professions. That would end with a loud bang of the cell door.

Tony would lead the way through the corridor, passing humming lamp after lamp, most of them out or about to be, cell after cell leaving behind the now faint scent of his cologne, an oasis in this desert of foul odors.

Briefcase in one hand and a door handle in the other as the buzzer let them both out to the lobby area, he held the door open for Jacqueline giving her a slight smile "I know your name, but you don't know mine. Isn't this exciting." his voice deep, contained and warmer than before.

Report Post Tip

Her heels clicked behind the man, his cologne tickling her nostrils, he smelt damn good, looked damn good too, her eyes fluttered across the man's frame, he had seemed to know the place rather well, is this what he did for business? Bust people out of the underground chambers pondering to herself.

Approaching the door to the lobby making light work to pull out her cigarette case with a rose  embellishment on the lid, the man's husky voice made her curiosity peak mentioning he knew her name.

Folding her arms standing just inside the lobby, her brow cocked, Sass present in her demeanor.

"Exciting for you maybe,  at the moment I'm wondering who the hell they just released me to..." fighting the smell of the rich oasis cologne along with his cocky smirk, she enjoyed the cat and mouse chase...

Report Post Tip

His smirk extended even more when she replied. He followed after her when she passed through.

"We have time to talk about all that, in a more... inviting place." he replied in a more lowered tone.

There were two exits, one leading to the front courtyard where the main jail gate was and another one to the side of this room. He began walking towards the latter.

While his back was turned to Jacqueline, he continued addressing her with that smirk being on his face still.

"And between the two of us, if you think I am the only one who finds this exciting..."

The door buzzed open, he opened it and held it for her, his figure turning towards her direction to finish off the phrase.

"...you are lying to yourself."

Jacqueline's face grimaced staring daggers into the man, with every smirk he shot cockily, knowingly almost somehow it made her falter just slightly before she redeemed herself.

"I ain't goin in no room with you wiseguy, not in this forsaken stench hole..." her tone callous, rolling her eyes placing an unlit cigarette between her ruby red lips, turning on her heel away from the man headed towards the front courtyard, her hips popped side to side as she walked, glancing over her shoulder, rolling her eyes once  more shaking her head muttering  almost inaudible

"I owe ya nothing..." pausing in her tracks infront of the front desk with an officer ready to approach her, standing up from his seat, unable to read his intention, taking a few steps back towards the wall, annoyance evident, her only intention here was to get out, fast.

Report Post Tip

Watched her little tirade calmly without letting the door close or walking away from where he stood. Once she paused her walk, he addressed her with the same calm tone as before.

"I wouldn't recommend going that way. Lots of eyes fixed on the front gate. That's why we are taking the side entrance. That's what this is, not a room"

If she would look beyond the heavy door he held open, she would see another corridor extending for a few feet and then turning right.

"It's your free will though, you might as well walk out the front gate or trust and follow me; either way my job here will be done as soon as you make that choice."

Report Post Tip

Side eyeing the gent as he spoke,  then focusing towards the front door along with the officer smug as hell waiting for her to move. Combating the fuel under her belt of annoyance and distaste of the situation,  running her tongue along her teeth, the gent seemed calm while waiting for her perpetual childish mood to subside since their brief encounter.

Sighing heavily turning on her heel towards her cocky saviour holding the door open unfazed, sauntering towards him, her gaze locked with his eyeing him up and down once more. Rolling her eyes walking past him into the hallway stopping in her tracks for further  direction on how in high hell they were getting out.

"What's the job at hand here exactly? Cut the shit and straight shoot will ya? How'd you know I was in 'ere?" leaning her back against the wall, her New York accent in full flight

Report Post Tip

He watched and studied her every move, maintaining the same expression on his poker face up until she went through the door and walked inside the corridor, only then he tipped his hat to the guard and followed after her, the heavy door locking behind them automatically with a loud clanking noise.

It was a crowded space and when he walked past her he locked eyes and said "This way" almost brushing against her.

Leading the way, and after a few bleeping lamps and turns, a metal wire entrance and a guard sitting behind it was visible.

"Hello Arthur, good to see you again, can you let us through please?"

The guard placed his coffee mug and newspaper on the desk, stood up, pushing the desk with his oversized belly and unlocked the gate.

Arthur replied "Heya, it's good to see you, did you brought any of those donuts by any chance? They were amazing I tell you, you have to tell me where you get them from, I would even go to Chicago to get some!"

Tony replied "Sorry buddy, not this time, but I promise you next time I will bring you two boxes. I thought I told you my sister is making them for the family, it's not a normal business. "

The disappointment on the guard's face could not be hidden at first but the reassurance eased him.

He replied as he unlocked the other fenced door and the heavy metal door that led outside "I will hold you to that mister.. ah I am forgetting your name sorry"

To which Tony replied while locking eyes with Jaqueline "It's mister Santarelli Arthur and it's quite fine, don't expect everyone to remember my name" to which the guard nodded

He walked out to a small parking lot and held the door for her, that looked like it was reserved for jail personnel. "Have a good one Arthur, take care of yourself"

"Will do mr Santarelli, have a good one yourself" Arthur the overweight desk cop replied.

Keeping her mouth shut just giving the man a curt nod much through gritted teeth, suppressing an eye roll, Jacqueline knew full well if she wanted to hit the streets, smile, nod and comply, create a false sense of security the disappear into the shadow of the night, the smell of smoke wood in the cologne toyed with her senses while she continued to follow down wind behind him.

Her heels echoed down the hall way pas the bleeping lamps till they reached the guard, standing just to the side of her 'savior' almost touching, flashing the guard her megawatt smile, her eyes full of lust, removing the cigarette from between her lips running her tongue across her lips to moisten them as the two men spoke, her brow quirked as the conversation they had seemed to be very friendly, unusual for those on the wrong side of the law, was he though?

Becoming quizzical of the conversation, donuts? a code perhaps, She's heard weirder terminology for drugs, snapping her out of her train of thought when the man that busted her out turned his eyes directly towards her, that damn smirk was back as he spoke ""It's Mister Santarelli Arthur and it's quite fine, don't expect everyone to remember my name" to which the guard nodded.

AH HUH! we have a bloody name she thought to herself, grinning shooting him a wink as she walked past him her faux coat brushing against him as they stepped into the small parking lot.

Once the guard saw us out and returned back to his desk, Jacqueline cockily spoke "Mister Santarelli, huh?"  stepping closer towards him running her fingers down his tie, smirking peering up through her eyelashes  "Thanks for busting me out... Guess your jobs complete huh?

Report Post Tip

Tony kept his eyes locked in hers even when she made contact with his tie, keeping just a small portion of his attention to his wallet pocket. He smirked and didn't moved back, letting her come as close as she would like.

He raised his free hand around her head as if he was about to hug her, but what he really did was to look at his watch. Then he lowered his hand and locked eyes again.

"Well, it's seven thirty in the morning and I skipped coffee to be here. So I will grab one and by the time I am done, I will be here to get you out again won't I?"

His tone amused and teasing. The smell of cologne would be stronger now that it was suppressed down by the filthy air of the prison.

Report Post Tip

Stepping away slightly, mirthfully laughing in amusement rolling her eyes playfully, scooping her hair to the side.

"oh a coffee sounds fabulous...I need a lil pick me up, been a rough night as you can imagine" placing the cigarette between her lips  searching for her lighter, in a muffled fashion she asked "any place round here you recommend for decent quality coffee? Half the places I go to are piss weak..." drawing her eyes up from her purse, unable to find her lighter, a warm smile played on her lips

Report Post Tip

With a clacking sound, he lit her cigarette and smirked after seeing that the lighter was inside her purse right next to her lipstick. He did not comment on that though.

He lit one for him too and nodded, letting the smoke out on the side so that it wouldn't go all over her face.

"I know the place. Best espresso in town. You open the door and the delicious scent of freshly grounded coffee hits you."

He returned the smile and with the hand holding the cigarette between his fingers, he extended it towards the exit of the fenced parking lot and towards the road.

"After you"

Report Post Tip

Inhaling deeply on her cigarette, her brow quirked as he went on to discuss some smooth dark Columbian grade coffee.

Turning her head to the side to exhale the smoke that plumed in her lungs while she spoke, her tone seductive "Whatcha waitin for Mister Santarelli..."  emphasizing his name as she spoke, slightly confused she turned towards him as he motioned towards the road "Er, we walking or do you have a car near by? These shoes ain't exactly made for marathons yanno.."  sarcasm evident in her tone

Report Post Tip

Didn't bother with giving out his first name just yet. Call it however you want, but he really enjoyed the game and the cloud of mystery he created for himself. It was instinctual by now, not like he was planning out what he would do or not do.

Furthermore, he did like the sound of his title with last name coming out of her lips.

He turned and headed for the exit but spoke while walking away from her.

"Didn't really had time to pick it up from the service, I had to rush and bail you out first thing in the morning, Miss Doyle. "

Stopping at the exit after the little house a cop was in, he extended his hand for a cab.

Report Post Tip

Jacqueline was left gaping while standing stationary, her brow furrowed, watching the man continue walking towards the gate, left mystified by how the hell he knew her surname, she hadn't disclosed that to anyone. Kicking off her heels in a haste, she bent down rather quickly to clutch them by the straps before busting out into a small jog after him, Her penciled knee length  dress that clung to her figure rid up slightly with each movement.

Swinging her bag into his arm to get his attention, her tone demanding "How the fuck do you know my Surname and how did you know I was locked up?!"  grabbing her stiletto heels as a weapon of choice

Report Post Tip

Tony turned slowly to look at her, then looked back to the cop behind them who immediately went back to his book the moment Tony's eyes made contact with his. Tony turned to Jacqueline again

"How about we keep a low profile until we reach the coffee shop, hm? If I wanted to be noticed I would have taken you through the front gate. But here we are. I will tell you everything, once we get there."

He raised his eyebrows to her, expecting a reply whether he was clear or not.

Report Post Tip

Inhaling deeply whilst glaring at the man, shaking her head slowly processing his request, releasing a huff

"Fine... Fine... FINE!...your shout though" Slipping back into her heels, the end of her cigarette glowed orange while she inhaled deeply.

Exhaling the smoke through her nose as she tightened the buckles before standing up right.

"After you Mister Santarelli" gesturing she would comply

Report Post Tip

Nodded at her reply and then turned his eyes on the road again, expecting a cab to show up.

The cigarette would be long gone until this happened.

---

Once on arrived, he would open the door for her and provide his hand to her as support to help her get inside.
