Administration, Assistant, and HelpDesk Rules and Regulations

These regulations will be the guidelines by which we, the MafiaReturns Staff and Associates, align our daily activities and choices. Refer to these as often as needed, so that we can continue to help the site run as smoothly and stress-free as possible.

* Make sure to follow all site rules, at all times. We must lead by example for the rest of the community. The site rules can be reviewed here.

* We must always make sure to create and present a united front to the community. As stated before, we must lead by example. If we expect people to take us seriously and follow the rules of the site, we must together show we all can work harmoniously together.

* To go hand in hand with the above rule, we will not speak ill or abuse another staff member in public or private. As dear old mum used to say, 'if you don't have anything nice to say, zip it'. Caught doing so will result in punishment, and could ultimately lead to removal from staff.

* We will support the coders and owners of the site in all decisions that are made, regarding the game, including its processes, functions and features.

* Often times in our position, we may be privy to information that the rest of the community may not ever hear about. We must keep that information to and amongst ourselves. Such information includes behind the scenes workings of the site, anything shared on any of the administration forums or within administration related IRC channels, anything received in mobmail from a player, any information regarding a conflict between players. Feel free to discuss anything and everything amongst yourselves (the staff), but everything must be kept confidential from the playing side of the game. Caught divulging said information will result in punishment, and could ultimately lead to removal from staff.

* There will be no abuse, verbal or otherwise, of any player. This includes people caught breaking the site rules. Even if they themselves are acting with disrespect, we must rise above and be the 'bigger person'. We must show a level of maturity, as we are responsible for helping the site run smoothly. This rule applies not only to the game, but to the various IRC networks that MafiaReturns uses, within MafiaReturns related channels, such as #divinelunacy and #Helpdesk. Caught doing so will result in the offender's removal from staff.

* We must never, under any circumstances, allow our own Out of Character, In Game, or personal feelings affect how we handle our day to day HelpDesk/Assistant/Administrator duties. We must treat all members of the community with equal respect. Even if Susie shot your only Don account, like a total bitch, you cannot allow that factor to prevent you from assisting her to the best of our abilities.

* If a situation arises where someone on HelpDesk has a problem with a user (whether due to the player's behavior or otherwise), or if a user has a complaint against someone on the team which therefore prohibits said associate from assisting them, they will forward that person to one of the Assistants or Administrators to deal with. In fact, if we ever find ourselves involved in a conflict, we must send it over to someone of the Administration team (other than ourselves) to help resolve the conflict. Trying to involve ourselves in problems that concern us may only result in the problem getting worse. If you're in a sticky spot, get help!
