Mr_Keating wipes the tears from his eyes, and surveys the aftermath of a flawless competition.  He begins to speak

"Friends, between the late Rocky's competition and the recent SAFE and FAIR one organised and ran by Dr_Kennethnoisewater, every writing competition has been beset by massive casualties.  We've lost more competitive creative writers in the gap between Rocky's and the SAFE and FAIR one than when Dr_Satan accidently machine-gunned a Creative Writing Convention held in a Church Hall thinking it was a mob-organised speak-easy.

A score or more writers, dead.  We saw one fatality, Tutte, and he was killed in a war.

And competition was fierce.  Only three writers failed to make it into double digit scores, and obviously I won't say who they are, but one sadly died during the competition, and another one tried and failed to run a successful contest.

But CONGRATULATIONS to the CWC!

We did it!

And you ain't seen nothing yet!"

SatoruGojo - yes, Don, you will be pleased to note that only those who entered the contest received prizes this time.

As well as no contest related fatalities, we also had zero difficulties with prize allocation.

You also failed on several occasions to adhere to your own rules. I've heard worrying reports, for example, that not every entry was judged. Hardly safe and fair when you are moving the goal posts. I'm also investigating accusations that the entire city of Detroit was decimated as a result of things said in your competition. That alone would make it the most deadly competition ever.

And while we are on the subject, another oversight appears to be the failure to identify your judges. In the initial announcement you named 2 judges, Dr Nosewater and a 2nd who later pulled out. You made allusions to naming the remaining 2 judges but never did. How could we ever believe that this competition was fair when you overlooked such a basic tenant of fairness. How can we trust fairness and impartiality when for all we know the judges could have been EvilClown and Revenant themselves? The more that comes to light it seems that this is no more safe and fair than someone wagering money in one of the Commisar's crooked casinos.

Very weird not to announce who the winners compete,  Even if I don't were in it I also feel sorry for Tutte my best friend but he didn't even care much about his writing in the competition.

Know from now on I never will be in any comp that Kuku is having, thanks and have it the best all but Kuku.

WhyBother this is not the competition thread. If you take a look the winner were announced on a different street corner. 

Lincoln_Lawyer if it helps sooth your mind, I chose the other judges myself. You can trust the fairness and impartiality of the competition because this competition was produced by 'The Fairest Writing Competition.' 

I take great pride in running above-the-board competitions and making sure every aspect is fair and unbiased. Also I think EvilClown and Revenant are good honest people, I see no reason to accuse them of cheating or impropriety.

Thank you all for creating and running this comp. I came back after a break to retrieve some writings I realized I hadnt saved.Now I find I cant keep up with what I got into writing about it. 


 

Dr Nosewater you see to have misunderstood, there is no accusation of cheating or impropriety against messers Evilclown or Revenant. No accusation that they somehow weasled their way into positions of power. No instead my concerns were levied at the supposed fairness of a competition that has failed to declare the identity of the majority of its judging panel. And forgive me if this may sound crass, but you are a well known criminal and mobster of some repute, its not as if you are@Toby- who works for cityhall, so despite me considering you a good and dear friend, I can't be expected to take your assurances that everything is above board without evidence. How can we be accept the word of anyone who's main reason for existance is to profiteer at the expense of others?

WhyBother - your voluntary withdrawal from the Competitive Writing Community is a source of extreme joy, happiness, and relief from the core membership of the CWC.  

In fact, it is a balm to soothe our otherwise sad brains. 

One of the failed entrants into the contest, who was in the bottom two of entries, is once again trying to increase his fame by using mine.

As my ancestors have done before, it is best simply to ignore him.  His childish need to have the last word will of course mean we have not heard the last of him.

He is free, of course, to run his own contest.  We can only pray that the likes of CherryDarling, Nicoletta, SpiritualLeaderOfMr and many others aren't killed in the course of entering.

Something stinks about this competition. I didn't enter and I didn't even win. What gives? 

For the record, my bloodline in setting up dozens of competitive writing contests has never once profited, save for the profit of the honour of leading the Streets, and being the recipient of many pieces of creative writing.

The fairness, transparency and ultimately the result of this competition is a credit to the organisers.

In order to promote further such events I shall donate my well deserved prize back into the pot for future endeavors.

A job well done gentlepersons, even larger plaudits should go to the wider community. The community which allowed the ethos of fairness and safety associated with this competition, to shine brightly through. Excellent.

On a side note I will be available to act as a judge again if you require.
