No doubt about it on that one. Feel like he used actor training with that slap.
 

Whole ordeal was pretty uncalled for though. Chris Rock took that slap like a man though, just kept smiling through it all.

Last I checked they informed Smith of the joke anyway and yet he still went up and slapped the dude.

Will Smith was laughing at the joke until he looked at Jada and since he didn't to be in the doghouse again, he had to show her he had her back.. That being said what the fuck is wrong with Jada, she looks FINE as hell with that bald head same as Demi when she rocked the baldness, and if she didn't want to be talk of the town and the butt of jokes why didn't she wear a wig? Chris is a class act for handling it the way he did.

Yes he did. It did not look good, and was a shameful act. Comedians say mean things. Sit down and take it, and use words later. 

It was a total  propaganda stunt  for publicity  ratings and to get people to want to watch it. 

It was like Batman hitting the bad guy in the old cartoons "bang bam" sound effects even added.  I mean he slapped him across the face so their should not have been the sound of someone popping the top of a microphone. 

It got Chris Rocks name out there and spoken about, and it got the Smith's names out there people are talking  them. And everyone is going to to want to watch next year  because maybe just maybe they will pull  some stunt like that again.

Besides ratings have been dropping for the Oscars so this will make ratings go back up. 

I just want to add that Chris Rock getting slapped on stage was predicted in a comedy skit about 23 years a go or so by comedian  Shawn  Wayan's.  

Honestly, I think it has been faked, because if it was real, police would later get involved (even though PD said there won't be any charges) but I guess they would take the award away from him? I mean, I really don't care, I only saw it because of the memes and like tabloid spam, but in any case, true or not, that stunt was not as good PR as they think it was, even though bad PR is good PR... I mean, Oscars... It's like Eurovision or some crap, you don't care, no one does. Just like NFL or baseball. 

Will Smith looked a fool in my opinion. Was so cringe I could not believe my eyes. Had a regular Joe Schmo gone on stage anywhere and slapped a comedian they would be facing consequences. Will went to an after party and danced the night away. 

If it is a work, they did a hell of a job. Will Smith was smiling, and Rock seemed to lean in a bit. Anytime someone puts the smack down on Chris Rock, theY get my applause though. The guy gets on my last nerve, lol.

I think it was real because I feel like Will has this persona about him and that he's worked hard to keep his public self clean and a role model for many. I think he would never willingly sign up to be a bad guy, and this defo made him the bad guy in many peoples eyes.

Big shame. 

If it was real  and not staged the Oscars' officials  would not have Strongly thought of kicking Will Smith out. They would have done it without hesitation.   If it was real and not staged Chris Rock got what he deserved one  it is not okay to joke about a person's  bad health( that is up to them not another person to joke about) and two is not okay to roast people at the Oscars.  Unless the Oscars is just for roasting folks now.

He did not hit, but slap. If anyone wants a lesson in how to humiliate yourself then this is it. These Hollywood characters are like big babies.

What he said wasn't even much of a roast - Rock compared her to a pretty badass character.  Ricky Gervais was a way more brutal host for those award shows, still doesn't deserve to get assaulted.  Smith's reaction was totally disproportionate and he should've been kicked out of the show - no chance in hell he gets away with coming back on stage if the host was a woman or if Will Smith wasn't Will Smith. 

Mr. Jim West took ole Chris Rock back to the Wild Wild West. Seems to me though that it looks a lot like fake news. A whole lotta look at me participation trophy type stuff here.

I remember when Will was cool back in the day.

Will slapped him, Then Will pulled out his check book and handed Chris a blank check.   It's sad, but Will loves Jada and he is chasing that love.   

Well if it wasn't for the "slap" I would have never known the Oscars were on which is a total shame this has given it some pretty bad press 

The first few times I saw it though I honestly thought it was a comedy skit until reading more about it
