Ye old Grand National Sweepstakes Started by: Heston on Apr 07, '22 15:01

Heston's telephone started ringing it was still very early in the morning. Running to the kitchen office Heston snatched up the receiver and mumbled an angry "Hello". The voice on the other end made him calm down and change his tone "So you got some good tips for me?" Heston listened and smiled put the phone down and ran to get dressed to find a betting shop. Looking around the streets Heston found a small betting shop walking in and finding they didn't accept bets on the grand national. "FUCK this race is so much better then any kentucky derby"

Walking back to the kitchen Heston thought and thought he wasn't going to jump on an airplane just to have a bet maybe he could set himself up and become a bookmaker himself. Maybe he could provide the Americans with some quality British entertainment and make a quick buck or two. Sitting down in his office chair Heston started searching for a someone to start making flyers a few days later a large parcel had arrived. Opening the parcel Heston took a flyer out and looked at it

The Grand Grand National

So you want to make some money?

Then simply send me a briefcase full of 1million dollars with a note stating "For a horse"

Winner takes the full pot*

*40 horses (Should) run

*If your horse is withdrawn before 4pm on race day your money will be returned and the pot adjusted

1 Entrance per person

All horses will be drawn randomly

Unless there isn't enough interest then this will be upped to two entrants per person

If there is lots of interest a second pot will be started

Good luck

Heston was pleased with the flyers. Looking around Heston decided to move some stuff around and make some room for a lot of briefcases then took to the streets to hand out flyers

"Sir take a flyer and make some money"

Heston scribbles Burrows Saint on a betting slip and hands it over

Report Post Tip

Walking alongside the streets, PlagueGuy noticed a flyer stapled up on a streetlamp. It seemed to advertise a horse race of sorts, and the buy-in was a hefty one-million dollars. It was commissioned by Heston and already seemed to have a few takers.

Granted, he'd only participated in horse races a couple times in his life, but he figured "What the hell?" and decided to call up his banking associate to give it a go.

Your accountant has made payment of $1,000,000 to Heston. The note "Pick a good horse for me!" was included.

Grace is next in line Heston takes her briefcase and stashes it in the back office he scribbles a name on a betting slip and hands it to Grace it reads

Two For Gold

Heston counts five tickets sold thirty-five to go

Report Post Tip

It was that time of year again, when Grace would get to wear a rediciously large hat that women would fawn over and men would question, but it would be outrageously large, have a bow that is far too gigantic for any normal event, and possibly feathers and flowers. She could see it in her minds-eye now, and it was fucking glorious. But before the doctor could commission the creation of said-beautifuly-enormous headwear, she would need to place a bet or two on the race.

She knew that Heston would be taking bets in the streets, as he had mentioned it previously in passing conversation. Which is why she had headed straight to the bank to create a cashier's note for one million dollars, and with it safely tucked away in her purse, and a much more acceptably sized hat perched on her head, she headed towards the streets, looking for Heston.

Once she found him she was fumbling for the note in her purse, moving the various bits-and-bobs that would be found in any woman's purse. Like drawings for a fantastically glamous hat. Grace was really into Hats and horses. As she found the note she handed it over, distracted now by the thought of horses wearing hats, "I swear by my pretty floral bonnet, if I don't win I'll end you." Grace said before grinning at the man.

Fluffiest had been napping nicely, it had been a long arduous task to host the 6 cities snowball competition and not alone coz it took fucking AAAAAGGGESSS for the final 4 to actually do something and his partner, mickey JR had been passed out drunk for most of the latter days.

Yet as he settled in and had found the perfect spot for dozing off, telling his bgs not to let anyone close for fear of feral rage and sharp claws, he was awoken nevertheless.

The iron chef was standing in front of his dumb knucklehead of a burly man, dwight really should know better than disturb his master during nap time. but the oaf brought Heston right up close with some big brute that was smelling, nosy and annoying to look at. Fluffiest flicked his ears showing his annoyance and stared deep into Heston eyes making sure the man felt uneasy. the horse seemed to notice it and was making bristling sounds and seemed to try and get away from the menancing feline as quick as he could. Heston then spoke quickly

Mr Fluffiest, this is your horse, it is named Kildisart (fluffiest was unsure if he heard it right, weird ass fucking name for a 4 footer) and he shall be yours since you sent over money a while back already. Fluffiest was surprised, he normally wouldn't squander money perhaps it was his generous LHM who had been dipping into hq funds again. He shall be yours to command in the races and perhaps win you the championship pot of 40M. Fluffiest perked up, more money was never a problem and he was not intrigued, perhaps this man wasn't as useless as he sounded!!!
