I think there is a pattern emerging here, if no purges happened then this would be happening right now, it's an endless loop, you start purging these people kill you, if they have to reset the game to do it so be it |

It depends.. In times gone by you'd suffer losses but nothing like that first wave. Every regime gets bored eventually and a bigger force gets to them. In this the leader group have allowed a force as large as them to grow. That was never gonna go well. In this instance there was obviously no appraisals done of the members they had. Picking two people out alone was never gonna end well with 100s of 60+ days accounts and the targets available daily. |

I also see slot of people complaining because they were shot, but the entire lives they have lived the Mafia ways, your life is at risk every time you leave your house in the morning. And it's sad your father/mother has been killed you will rise from this and once again be able to follow in their footsteps |

Obviously. I just hope people accept, after this, exactly what you've said. There's only so far you can trust a human. Sometimes the herd needs to be trimmed. This should cement that fact. |

I fully understand. If you think we can all hold hands and noone will ever make a power grab then good luck to you. I'll live in a world where your enemies grow in the shadows and will hunt or be hunted. The world will never unite, hold hands and sing songs round the fire. History proves me correct. Long before this incarnation as well. |

Maybe you are right, so are you saying that it would be wise for this new regime that will be in complete power in I'd say less than 24 hours. That they should purge everyone because it not safe to not do so? |

You could run the perfect meritocracy and you would still end up dead because there will never be as much to give as people want to receive. Crewleaders surround themselves with hundreds of millions in bodyguards, forts and manpower, that safety net being extended to threats is the most logical step. There is no evil in maintaining something entirely based on the mafia being a violent social contract in the first place. These guys have done well to hide their intentions and build enough strength to turn the tables, and if they win and move into power, they will do what they can to keep it and others will take the role of the underdog and keep the pattern going. Complaining about methods is idiotic when in the history of the world, with enough hard work or clever planning or what have you, everyone has eventually been shot. Do what you can to keep it, do what you can to take it, the rest is fair game. If the last group of crewleaders had worked harder on their core strength - I'm talking your pelvic floor, abs, obliques - instead of the glamour muscles, maybe things would have worked out differently. Maybe a 5k jog every once in a while would have made them more desirable, more worthy of admiration. But it wasn't to be. Constipated shot his own RH for a joke someone else told. Never forget that. I thought I'd seen it all but that was new, that was soft. |

Dark days are coming folks when a regime kills people because they carry long term grudges and puts you on a kill list. Ah the bitter leaders are back... which means no more stability for the general public, unless you are like Slade and you abandon your city in the middle of a war. Really this is what they are keeping that says a lot of this group to keep someone who put their life before their cities. |

I see lots of discussion, this is great. Where was this last week I wonder. I appreciate all the discussion, but a lot of you are very wrong and are projecting. If you'd like to speak, please do it civilly, we're all mostly adults here, I'd hope. HeadCoach may be onto something here. My family use to be a member of the Chicago Boston Cubs and I've always had a strong ethic for baseball. I think if everyone had actually taken their due diligence and trained up, things may have been different. People are very similar, regimes rarely change from one another, talk is cheap. Be the change you want to see. |

No their actions are their own, not their previous Cl's. No matter how you spin it they were not loyal to their cities if they left during a war. That is their loyalty, no one else. They are loyal to themselves, not the Cl. not the GF(C), not the city. That never changes that is who is they are regardless of others actions. |

Giorgio is right. No one was asking for Mr. Universe. But several of those crewleaders were closer to Mr. Punyverse. I made my services available to all and only Wheeler, may he rest in peace, took to my training routine. His gains were remarkable. That he outlived nearly all of his colleagues tells you enough. I was told he was shot but I'd sooner believe his upper-body simply got too big and he toppled over with no one around to pick him up. Now the team Giorgio mentioned, that was a great organization. Exceptional coaching staff top to bottom. A demanding work ethic. Incredible morale. A picture of true glory. |

Purging is such an ugly word. Sometimes you just need to thin the herd a little. Usually that will be done through wars. But when all the crew leaders and godfathers are playing happy families, as someone so eloquently put it, "purging" is the only method available to keep threats down. The problem, as I see it recently, is this focus on everyone being friends. Years ago, when every godfather was the top dog of their own city, you may have had one or two cities ally themselves together. But never all of the cities. Now, with three godfathers per city, everyone has a friend in every cities leadership. Noone wants to kill their friends. Noone wants to take them out. This is what makes Purging a necessity if you wish to hold onto your power. I'd prefer to see the mafia re-expand to more cities and there be less districts. A return to the days of godfathers being the sole ruler of their respective kingdoms. |
