Where has the empathy in this community gone?

My lineage - Kuklinski, and the distantly related Fareham's - is older and more experienced than nearly any. At a time of rebuilding - in the wake of such senseless shootings - I have important wisdom to offer.

But how am I treated?

Every crew on the job board has shunned me from partaking in honest work. 

New leadership of the mafia: I am a tool ready to be wielded at your disposal.

As the leader of the streets, I have written eulogies so effective their living subjects were dead within days. I have watched empires rise and fall, both as the cause and as a witness. I have read Plato.

 I wish to be a part of the creation of our new society. I hope for acceptance, to let bygones be bygones. 

Prove what this new world is about.

Thank you for the warning, CallMeDaddy. I am grateful to live here, on the streets, and not in ancient Norway, where the dining habits of a mythological colossus would be a worry to your everyday Sven or Bjorn. 

More importantly: Who will employ me? 

Mr_Kuku I knew your father, his father, his father, his friend, and someone who somewhat looked like him, but said he wasn't. They were all strong leaders (of the Streets) and would make great members on any crew. 

Unfortunately I am not in a position to employ you at this time. My wife has taken the children and moved further inland after I contracted... well never mind the details. I'd give you my seal of approval if I didn't lose it in the divorce proceeding. 

CallMeDaddy gives LonelyWolf a wink just as they leave the area stealthily and undetected by the stupid and probably blind troll.

Ancient Norway?????

Over at the pub with LonelyWolf they enjoy a drink. It was quite indeed a funnier much better time. CallMeDaddy laughed at something LonelyWolf said that was indeed funny.

Oh my gosh, Bunny! How funny. How interesting. 

She smiled at her friend.

Much more funny. Much more interesting than that troll.

CallMeDaddy laughs some more. Drinks some more. Smiles some more.

CallMeDaddy you haven't actually left the Street yet. We can see you pretending to drink but the pub isn't out here. This isn't a criticism, I also get very excited when the prospect of drinking comes up and have been known to lose myself.   

I also have some questions about the structural integrity of this road if you are able to just push that sign into it. What are our taxes even going towards if we can't even get some decent roads?

My lineage has often been chased away by creatures like CallMeDaddy, who envy our position as leaders of the streets, Liz_Truss.

It is a thankless role.

I see something entirely devoid of value and announce my intentions to shepherd it into better days, and how is this received?

With scorn. But still I toil. 

I hereby publicly shun the things I am most famous for: great power, the pulling of strings behind regimes, limitless wealth, newspaper advocacy...

In order to declare myself for one thing and in the pursuit of this thing only:

THE STREETS.

Wellerman, I value your support. It takes great minds to open themselves to the possibilities a man of my talent and intelligence offers to this community, when set on the right path, when offered the right guidance. That is all I ask: an opportunity to learn under one bright-eyed figurehead of a world pulling itself out of the ashes.

Liz_Truss, it is common knowledge our bloodlines do not see eye to eye. He is an idiot. I am not. It is an unconquerable divide. Has a relative of mine been implicated in his death? Yes. 

Do I deserve a fresh chance, with a clean slate, as is offered to anyone else?

Yes.

And behold, a being of pure joy emerged onto the streets, a Disco Dancing God among men, the last of the Ubercorns. Sweet melodic music of an up-tempo beat followed were ever he went, and the voice of three heavenly angels announced his arrival. 

"Funky Facts, Funky Facts" they sang.

"Let me tell you about the place we're at." responded Ubercorn with a voice that made women want to be him and men want to be with him... or something like that.

"With Ubercorn’s Funky top three." harmonized the angelic, unseen trio. "Three."

"You are right with one thing you said Mr_Kuku when you said you are a tool. You are most certainly that, and its clear for all to see."

"Two."

"Empathy only goes so far. No one owes you empathy when all you are known for is defecating all over the place like a poorly trained puppy."

"One."

"You have bitten every single hand that has ever reached out in an attempt to give you a second chance. Our Community therefore owes you nothing."

Job done, knowledge imparted, Ubercorn Discoed his way off the streets to await for the next time the world would need some Funky Facts.

Ubercorn, I wish I could cure your bitterness. I do not wish that for you. I am prepared to turn over a new leaf, while you are trapped in a prison of discontent.

Be better.

I know I can and will, because I am capable of anything.

I have run this world from the shadows during great times of prosperity and never once sought credit. 

If the world knew what I have done for them, the sacrifices I have made to make this world a better place, they would see me differently.

Liz_Truss, there is an unspoken power to my lineage and name. The late leader Illuminatiated once paid a relative of mine 8 million to agree to not shoot his crewmembers. This relative was just a gangster at the time, with a Godfather-Chairman kissing his ring. 

Who else inspires such enormous swells of fear and worship in equal measure?

I have been referred to as the most influential competition runner this world has ever seen, while others run competitions to embezzle and defraud honest people. As the leader of the streets, I entertain and encourage, while others seek nothing but to enrich themselves and their LostBoy's.

While the community stood idle to competition-based injustice and treachery, I was the only man who stood up to be counted.

Mr_Kuku I am touched by your words. For far too long has the Kuklinski lineage been shunned from participating in public life.

The distantly related Fareham lineage has watched this injustice, and responded by trying to make a change in the world themselves. But as is obvious to all whose eyes are not clouded with blind hatred, with the recent death of Francis_Costello, we too are still getting shunned by the unwashed masses.

This has to change.

I propose that in an unprecedented move, the Kuku and Fareham lineages join forces to protect the one thing that both parties love.
