Firstly, this was an in character move, made by a character within the game, so this should have been a street thread. You aren't being out of character. Funerals aren't out of character. The actions that have offended you aren't out of character. Why aren't we in the streets?

Blair walks in the church with a bouquet of white lilies. She walks to the coffin and lays the flowers inside of her brother's coffin.
"My brother,my mentor, my leader...it's devastating to see you here! You were a good man, a good friend and a good leader to me and to everyone else. Your kind heart was what makes you be on the top in this world...cause this is what makes you different. The right leaders have to know how to handle their feelings first and then to go on with their actions. You did that and i am sure that you continue like that." Blair says with a sharp voice and expression. She closes her eyes, takes a big breath and then opens them. She turns to the audience and glares at all the hypocrites who just watching this funeral.
"NO! I am NOT afraid to show my pain and my love to my brother and to my friend!Whoever finds it wrong should NOT be here!My brother spoke for once the truth about how our "LEADERS" do their own without even having any concequences! And i ask all of you...where the hell is the rules here? The rules are only for the low rankers or for everyone??"
"Rest in peace my brother... i assume that i will see you soon after this speech and i LOVE your courage"
This is my answer to my brother's funeral!!All i want to say is there!!This is my opinion!!I know how to honor my beloved people something that very few in here know how to do it or...FEEL it!

Chuckle, I dont even know where to begin here in answer to your post. This was an out of character speech by me, Kevin Clarke on how absolutely disgusted I am at the behaviour of the powers that be. First and foremost, this is a game, and we all have friends here within the game. Sometimes our friends end up on a different team as ourselves, and sometimes we have to perform actions against our friends or vice versa. Thats all part of the game. |

This is the bit you're not getting. In the game, in the funeral, you're in character. You aren't Kevin Clarke, you're Caoimhin or Tarbh, etc. In the game, your OOC friend just did something ridiculously stupid that would likely cost you money, time and could have put your life in jeopardy. If that happened to you in real life, you wouldn't laugh and smile and think 'oh what a card', you would be thinking, at least 'holy shit, I could have died'. There is a line between where their IRC persona ends and their character begins. |

"If you don't like what I have to say, I'll fight you about it." Really? I mean... really? That's what you come down to? Because your argument that you should be free, in character, to say whatever you want with no repercussions is ridiculous, and has been pointed out as ridiculous, you jump right to "Wanna fight about it?" |

"This used to be a game, a game where you could sign up, do your thing, play the game and have a life outside of the game via IRC, via other avenues, you could give your personal opinions and not have to fear reprise. The game has gone downhill slowly in my opinion and Im simply expressing that fact." |

I find what has been happening to be highly disturbing. It makes no sense to kill someone for simply attending a funeral - that's what friend's do after all right? Furthermore, these people were killed without confrontation. They were killed in their sleep and had no chance to explain themselves. |
