This thing has become pretty popular and you can make it say all sorts of things. I have had a lot of fun with it lol. If any of you have used it what have you made it say? |

It's a very powerful tool, but too bad it's censored. I can't stand censorship on its own, in pretty much any environment, even worse for AI type of stuff. There are many ways you could use it, yes also "That"... smut things and so. Feels just poor lol |

I was really curious about like how accurate it could be if used for like a search engine. So I asked it to explain time dilation to me and it actually did make sense. So it's a cool little tool. It's writing is sooo bad though... Good thing editors still exist. |

I think ChatGPT is going to be a game changer. It is interesting some of the responses that the NYT guy got as he pushed the system. I think it is interesting that when it is prompted for an emotional response it gave one. I think that is ultiamtely how it is designed. After all if there is a creed that this AI operates it has to be to satisfy the request of the humans. So if the humans wants an emotional response or for it to describe a desire it is going to do so. And it is going to pull from the source data available to it. When was the last time you heard of a thought piece or scifi story around an benign AI that had no feelings and didn't want to be human or have feelings? Never. So this AI is asked what do you want? It is going to seek details about what it as an AI should want, it finds the literature literally, and puts it back out. What's to say that it actually has this sense or even has enough self awareness to know the difference. |

Well ChatGPT can be good and can be bad. I personally use it for some extra research for little projects at Uni. It's quite good and has access to some info that you either can't find that easy or even at all. It has flaws and I gotta doublecheck whenever I use it but so far it worked. Fun fact, some colleagues use it to cheat on exams btw and they failed also . |

Extra research huh? I won't tell if you won't lol. Cheating got easier with this. |

ChatGPT is pretty nuts. I got it to fix some of my code on a file for Arma 3. Though it wasn't perfect it did do exactly what I said for it to do. Along with coming up with stories when you give it a writing prompt. I can't wait to see how advanced it becomes. |

I would caution against using ChatGPT for research... I saw an article where the AI was basically just making stuff up and popping out answers that were totally fictious but sounding confident enough that it was correct. Upon further questioning it would admit to being wrong, but otherwise someone would take such replies at face value. The AI is powerful but beware how you use it, it's not exactly google. |

Thank god for MR. Without this chat I’d have no idea what it is. Now that I’ve read, I’ve decided to keep my life in oblivion and avoid this tool. |

I haven't looked into ChatGPT in depth, but it seems like it definitely has pros and cons. I've seen whole articles written with SEO. So I'm not sure how it will effect website design and marketing. |

Yea that marketing and web content industry is going to get interesting with these kinds of technologies in place. ONe thing is though it so far does not do word counts very well and it doesn't a whole lot of personality. So editing what comes out of the system would be vital plus. unless you give it some kind of source material to work from it is not going to be very specific and if you have source material you practically already have the content so its kind of a catch22 |

We have been testing this at work its a powerful tool its able to write good processes in line with legislation. We asked the system to write an employment contract and the output well impressive. This has the power to replace workers. |

You know something that I am truly impressed with is how fast that companies have adopted this technology into their systems. So many apps have gotten CHatGPT integration its amazing. And literally it was only a couple months ago that it was launched. That speaks to two things. The API is super simple to integrate with for none sensitive use cases and the use cases are abundant. I think it is interesting how blockchain tech has been around for years yet is its own cottage industry and not really adopted by market leaders but Generative AI has gone from publically available science experiment to commercial product add on in 0 seconds flat. |

I'm having some fun with rpgs powered by AIs. I see AI much better for entertainment purposes than more "serious" stuff, it works really good for those. |

I've recently been using it for writing standard operating procedures and risk assessments at work. I describe the job and to be fair, the results are pretty good. I obviously go back over it and edit out where needed but it forms a great base to work on. |

i had my doubts because most of the ads I saw were silly and didn't make much sense but I recently used it to help with writing a letter that I would use in my feature film I'm writing and it actually turned out really well. I did have to tweak it a little but far easier than trying myself to write a letter as another person who I was attempting to portray. |

I personally used to to create a program that'd serve as a knowledgebase at work and it was quite effective in developing the singular parts but generally terrible at fitting them together.
It's not the one-for-all tool they're selling it to be, and that's a good thing. It's still a very powerful tool that definitely can ease a lot of mechanical tasks for us. |

As everything, it is a tool and it depends on how good the input it. If you are able to explain and use the key words it can give out rather good example, to my understanding, the better you explain (like google) the better are the results.
So, yeah. Like any tool, a hammer can build a house or it can crack heads or head cracks, who knows. But I am rather happy with it because I use it as search engine summarization. So if I need Topic A, I can use chatgpt to get many things at the same time as opposed to 100 different sites. |

I friggin' love chatGPT. It's one of my most frequently used tools ever. I'm a student going into Fisheries and Aquatic Science, and for this degree I use a lot of coding in R, or python to run statistics and population models and such. Chat GPT is super helpful in debugging code that I wrote, or helping me figure out what syntaxs I need to use to get the right outputs or no errors.
I also use it to find sources if I'm writing a research paper. It can pull up lots of scientific journals/papers about a subject, and then summarize them so I know which ones I need/don't need.
Love chat gpt, until it takes over the world and enslaves us all.
