Certainly a tricky one with ChatGBT, a lazy way to complete reports, articles and 'similars'. I do not see the harm in using it to generate some ideas for a project but simply copy and pasting all the info does seem a little 'cheaty'. If you are going to read through the whole written stuffs by AI then why not write it. It can of course save time, and a lot of time in some cases, but I get the feeling there may be a huge ban on using it from an educational point of view over the next couple of years. It is actually taking away some of the core educational learning patterns from students who write their own work which is not a good thing for the future of our academia. I have tried to used it a couple of times and when given to choice between using it regularly or not I have opted to write/type instead.

I've used ChatGPT to write Macros and Google Scripts. Absolute lifesaver, but I really need to become better at prompt engineering so that I can get the desired response/outcome quicker than my current method. Sometimes I have to refine my prompts 4 to 5 times to get my desired output. |

I really enjoy, it has assisted me with solving complex math problems, grammatical sentence structure, and fully fleshed out answers to my questions. |

ive never understood any of this ChatGPT stuff. I wouldnt even know where to start with it or where to go to try it. I've got a colleague at work who spends hours everyday on it trying to force it to come out with some crazy stuff. All seems really weird to me. |

Until now, ChatGpt is the best translating tool. A good translation must faithfully convey the meaning, nuances, and intent of the source text. I have tried a lot of Ai tools but they dont come close to this one, although im thinking of trying Grok 2.0 but apparently its not yet available for my country. |

Chatgpt is better every single time I go on to it. Answers seem to be getting increasingly sophisticated, I just try not to trust it doing things that I don't already know. |

I generally use it for typing to make sure everything makes sense grammatically or to help me make things more formal, apart from that I haven't used it much. |

| I prefer ChatGBT to search engines. Its ability to elaborate and/or simplify output makes it a preferable option. I don’t train my ChatGPT, which can be toggled on and off if you want it to. In case anyone thinks this is the brave new world alternative, it is still biased just like all big tech or Silicon Valley companies. Also, as an aside, some of you use ChatGPT for your MR street postings, which is lame. Some are more blaringly obvious than others, some I’m sure get away with it. If you’re one of those people, stop that. Or at the very least don’t just copy/paste the entire output if you really need to use it that badly. | |

like almost anything else electronic it's got good and bad things. I remember when the internet became a big thing everyone trusted everything that came up on the internet and now we know 70%+ of the internet is bs....same with ChatGPT. it's great for some things but in small doses and not to be used as perfection. |

Idk really. ChatGPT and others AIs like it can be very useful if used in the right way and do your research. It's a good tool to use when you're working on a project and need to get information on different topics and subjects, but besides what you get from it you also need to do your own research. Me and many of my colleagues used it for Uni projects and for work, but we always take all results with a grain of sand and expand on whatever we get from it. Conclusion, don't be lazy and rely on only what you get from it. Use it as a tool to speed up parts of your projects but make sure you don't let it take over all your creative and thinking processes. |
