fs grabbed his coffee and a big piece of paper before taking to the streets.  He made his way down main street and found a good spot in the center square to post his sheet.  He then found something to stand on as he yelled down the streets.

Golden Gloves 2

If you're unaware the golden gloves is a boxing tournament put on by myself.  It's as simple as signing up, and preparing to talk trash along the way.  But, what's in it for you? Some marvelous prizes!  For this round I will be starting the prize fund at:

$25 million & 25 credits

Some slight tweaks to sign up are being made, so please listen up.  luciano_lucky is the only person guaranteed a spot in the tournament as our previous champion. (If he'd like to participate again)  In order to be a bit more fair, and hopefully give more people a shot at joining we will keep sign ups open for five (5) days.  Sign ups are open now, and will close March 07, 2023 at 17:00:00 game time.  If we have more than 16 people signed up, I will put all of the names into a hat and randomly draw the 16 participating names.  I will also randomize the seeding of the bracket, again to hopefully ensure the most fairness.

Goku walks up to the sign up sheet, muscles bulging and skin glistening like fresh polyethylene. Surely it wasn't fair  for a Super Saiyan to enter such a competition, but he didn't care - he loved to fight.

"Count me in FutureStealer. This will be just like the old World Martial Arts Tournaments back home! I can't wait!"

I would relish the challenge of kicking the shit out of Goku. There are also plenty of other assorted illiterates, nimrods, dweebs & edge lords around here who I would happily smack around without breaking a sweat. 

"Put me in Coach!"

Kenny approaches the sign up sheet with a cigarette dangling on his lips and holding a bottle of whiskey on the left hand. Already out of breath just from walking two blocks, he grabs a pen and writes his name.

"I would love to get the shit beat outta me in front of a crowd. It has always been a dream of mine."

He nods his head and walks away. Also passes out a few minutes later. He really should stop smoking and boozing.

The trees nearby begin to and a big cloud of special white dust explodes before PabloEscobear appears in the crowd, wearing a yellow Pablomania shirt and the coolest sunglasses ever. Standing up on her two hind legs, she approaches the crowd, sniffing about. 

"I, PabloEscobear, would like to enter the ring! Beware and don't coke the bear!"

Licking the remnants of the last line off her nose, she shakes a bit, reinvigorated. 

"Let me tell you something, brotherrrrrr, that prize will be mine and then will come that sweet sweet booger sugar!"

The Stiffmeister always thought of himself as a lover, not a fighter. That being said, for too long he's let time pass idly by and watch pussies enter the Golden Gloves.

Fuck this, the Stiffmeister will fight anyone of you pussies that want it, fuckers. You don't score, until you score!

You can treat this tirade as the official entry into the Golden Gloves, of The Stiffmeister. This will never be the same again.

Ksenia was elated to hear the news of another boxing tournament being drummed up. After weeks… months of training. Actually she had forgotten about the training part but nonetheless she was ready and willing to redeem herself. Jotting her name upon the list, she scrolled up to see an all too familiar name… PabloEscobear

”Ugh not this one” She muttered and smirked as a brilliant idea crossed her mind. 

Lifting the pen back up to the paper, she put a dark, bold line through the name PabloEscobear oh so hoping that FutureStealer would decide not to count that one towards the pool of boxers. Then again, it might be quite satisfying knocking that one out in the ring. 

TheJeweler had been making his usual rounds at the money laundering fronts and shuffled into the boxing studio he ran, the studio itself didn't turn much cash over but it was nothing compared to the smiles of the local kids.

It was a place he held food drives to help out the city and if by some miracle, he managed to keep one kid out of the slammer, even better. Recently he had an eye on a kid from South Paradise named Stones, he stood six foot five and weighed around two hundred and fifty pounds. Kid got the name by telling The Old Man's personal security to fucking shove it where the sun don't shine, while TheJeweler was collecting some protection money from the boy's fathers butcher shop. 

All The Old Man could think was "Damn this boys got a pair of stones on him."

From then on TheJeweler had the man in the gym, day in and day out pounding on the heavy bag and running drills. Before long he was running like a well oiled machine, and working on being The Old Mans personal bodyguard. One evening he popped in to drop off some lunch to his prize fighter, when he noticed a new posting on the bulletin board.

Quickly he grabbed the flyer and slapped it down infront of the man "I've got a job for ya' Stones." TheJeweler let out his signature smoke soaked laugh, before exiting through the front door to the streets, cane in hand. Once out front, he set down a finely polished redwood box and stepped on top.

"Fine folks of Paradise! It's recently come to my attention that a boxing tournament, of epic proportion is to be hosted in the next five days! Grab your tickets and get your popcorn ready, because our very own Stones, has been picked by yours truly to represent us in the ring. The fight will also be televised, so make sure your TVs are tuned in to catch all the action. 

"You won't wanna miss this."

Pablo thought she smelled a familiar, but pungent scent wafting into the crowd. Sniffing into the air, she finally sees the first suspect on her list. Grimacing as only a bear does when smelling at terrible smell, she barrels over to Ksenia...the thorn in her paw. 

Standing up on her hind legs at full height, she towers over her nemesis.

"You want a piece of Pablo? Well, guess what....bring your self down to the ring and come get some."

Poking Ksenia in her hairy chest, she continues.

"I fear no man, no beast, or evil, brother....and let me tell you something....you are the second most evil, hairy beast I know...second to COCAINE BEAR!"

Pablo takes her huge, murderous claws and rips off the Pablomania shirt, roaring and blowing coke dust in the air. 

Watching the person ahead of them, he sort of began to rethink his choices of being here.. I mean who was he kidding he was no boxer? Little shrimp looking asian man stood no chance against the... cocaine bear? Is that really what they called themselves... he watched as they ripped their shirt off and blew a bunch of white dust into the air, yelling all kinds of things.. but there was one thing for certain, there was coke involved, he recognized that substance anywhere!

Waiting patiently for the person to walk away from the sheet, Vinh quickly walked up to the podium and picked up the pen, he glanced up at the man sitting there, staring back at him..

"I will sign up only on one condition.. give me whatever the hell that person was calling themselves a cocaine bear..."

Vinh signs his name on the dotted line, still feeling the gun pressed to his back, he chuckled nervously, but not before catching the names on the sheet.. Ksenia was the most notable one.. would he actually get to beat her up? Would be a change of pace from this gun she held to his back anyways...

Standing tall with a large belt placed around his waist - wearing a three piece suit and fedora, Luciano walks through the street - coincidently as FutureStealer opens up the tournements again. 

As he embraces the crowd with a new chance - the Champion Luciano glances at the glaring stares that swallow at the tension in the room as his position already filled shows proudly against his waist, "Well, as an already honoured member of this challenge, i'd like to just wish good luck to you all who sign up," Luciano pauses, slapping his waist as the metal tang's against his hands made of rock, "You'll need it," as he gives a devilish smile

Polio knew he was unlucky in the 1st competition and has been training since for this very day.

I'll fight anyone at anytime, day, night, rain or shine! 

Polio looks at the sheet and rolls his eyes.

Polio scribbles his name down and leaves a bit of cash so that 2nd place has some sort of compensation for a beating

Wow, thanks everyone for signing up and it looks like our reigning champ will be coming back to defend his title!  This should be fantastic!

Ian hears about a new season of Golden Gloves and that the registration has already started. He was pretty unlucky the previous season as he wasn't in his best health at the time. This time, he is more trained and ready to fight again. 

He goes to sign himself up for the contest.

A quick clarification, there will be no entry for this event.  All you'll need to do is participate, and of course trash talk is always accepted and encouraged.

Very glad to see another edition of Golden Glove boxing. I've been waiting for the opportunity to get my revenge for the, totally not rigged, fight I had in the previous round. 

My old leathery skin and deep calloused hands should give me the edge I need to beat the youths of today. If anyone needs me I'll be at the Rusty Anchor in Philadelphia punching the tuna or you might be able to catch me running up the stairs at the Art Museum and cheering. 

It's not really a training method now, but I'm sure one day everyone will be doing it.
