From out of the dirt, a small hole appeared just beneath the people's feet right where they had congregated. Whispers began to pour out of it in quick succession, almost a bit too difficult to understand, but the words that could be parsed from it all were simple enough to understand: "Michael Russo beat ass"

Thinking that this was enough to sign himself up, he quickly dug back down into the earth where it was more safe. Away from those who would harm him with rocks and tasty mounds of shit. 

"I think I made myself abundantly clear."

If he couldn't make the cut, then he would help sabotage those who did contend. It was only fair, after all, being the wriggly little worm that he was, that he be allowed to be invited in some capacity. Although this was a story for another day.

Mocha hears $50 million and 100 credits! damn, I could become a punching bag.

Goes to find some boxing gloves and maybe train a little. 

Michael-Corleone walked up to the sign up sheet and signed it with a flourish. "I am in" he said to the organizer. "Ready to show the world what I can do."

Mave strolls around the square, aimlessly smoking a cigarette, when they see someone posting up a sheet. Sheets are almost always interesting, so they stop to check it out. Seeing that it's a Golden Gloves tournament, they smirk and scrawl their name on the bottom of the ever growing list. What's the worst that could happen?

Nuccio finally found a moment to leave his desk. He knows that the family affairs are in good hands. The business trip to New York has proved very worthwhile so far. On a walk to Brooklyn center square, Nuccio notices a large number of people gathered excitedly gesticulating and discussing in front of a billboard. Immediately, Nuccio recognizes the signature of FutureStealer.

"Boxing? Why not! A welcome affair and an opportunity to show the public what we Detroiters are made of!"

Nuccio takes his fountain pen from his coat and signs in. Before heading back to Detroit, he will hand FutureStealer an envelope - a little something to add to the prize money.

"Boxing match?" Vala says with a devilish grin spreading across her face. She walks over to the signup sheet and sees that all of her friends are already tossing their hats in the ring. Perfect, she thinks. She pulls out her lucky fountain pen and signs her name at the bottom of the list.

"I'm coming for you worm!"

OutKast was out for a stroll when he came upon a group gathered around some sort of parchment. 

'Hm, boxing eh?' he mumbled to himself.. 'Why not? I'll give her a go.'

He jots his name on the sheet and continued on to whatever the day might bring.

HaroldBogtrotter was an old and cankerous man. The youth of today didn't know hardships, or the meaning of hard-work in the slightest. His frustrations had been mounting, so when news spread about the next opening for the boxing match, HaroldBogtrotter had made his way to the streets. While advanced in his years, it was hardly an activity you forgot how to do, and years in the navy had been spent in the ring. "I'm a bit of a puglugist, so I will happily enter for a chance to win." HaroldBogtrotter said before doing a bit of shadow boxing where he stood.

After hearing rumblings that my boss, Vala had thrown her hat into the ring, I figured I’d give it a go myself.

Being fresh to these shores, I wasn’t exactly sure how to go about things like this, ”I’d like to jot my name down if you’ve got the space, FutureStealer.”

Rossa notiiced all the hustle and bustle, looking about, he sees the big flashing sign of Golden Gloves 2 or maybe that was from all the Oreos he was snorting. Sighing to himself, he decided to push himself forward. He didn't know how'd he fare in this kind of thing but he knew that there was I in try, at least, according to some people but they didn't matter right now. 

With a smarmy grin on his lips and all the confidence of a fine jeweler, he signed his name underneath the countless others and was ready to prove that he was a champion better than any other!

Alright everyone, that's it for sign ups.  I wanted to thank everyone for their interest!  All in all we had 26 participants sign up, so we'll move into a selection phase.  All names (except luciano) will be put in a hat and drawn until we have our 16 fighters.  Matchups will be based on the order drawn out of the hat to keep it as random as possible.  I should have this all done and some updates to you all tomorrow.  See you then!
