We all change.  My lineage has had its baubles and accolades.  There is no need to go into them here, for we are faced with something far more important.

Be THE CHANGE that YOU want.

Many of our leaders are too busy to lead.  Well, in that case, why not create a system whereby simply being enthusiastic gets you a chance at success?  A long time ago, someone of my lineage became the youngest ever de facto Godfather of a city.  And he did that by taking advantage of a city set aside for free(ish enterprise).

So let's start an experiment.  Small HQ's, with present leaders.  The return of the 5-man HQ's

Why not do this?

We have keen-as-mustard mafioso, and some districts could be repurposed.

Leader of the Streets... Street Orator of the Year.  Seen it all, been it all.  Time for new blood.

We have some raw talent in this thing of ours. 

Why not commission newspapers?  Many of us are sitting on fortunes.  Why don't we spend some of that money on newspapers?

And whilst we're at it, why don't we host more writing competitions?

Why don't we HELP the future Street Orators of the Year?

What would be the purpose of a 5 man crew? It would just seem like a crew that size would be very vulnerable, power in numbers and all of that. 

I agree we could do some more around the streets, and incentivize more participation, but I'm afraid that we would just end up getting the same guys that always write anyway. 

What I tend to see get the most traction in these streets (by the number of replies) is usually controversial opinions or arguments about the "hidden" upper management of things, such as wars, takedowns, kills and just in general the drama and comedy of it all.

It's a fine balance as a word out of place could and will get you swimming deep underwater, which takes me nicely to the next point.

Newspapers that are opinion pieces around specific gagsters or crews will not go down well. They might get plenty of activity but it will be short-lived, literally, and pure fact base newspapers can become quite a laborious task.

Kuku if you truly are the real one, you could be on these shores without any mention of bloodlines, but the persistence of continuing the same cycle is helping anything.

Crews not taking anyone they even suspect being involved in the "kuku" shenanigans didn't happen at random and without precedent.

The way I see it, you are talking about change, but we and you have been doing the same old routine for aeons.


My last question is, Why didn't you take the time to get to the top once again and implement the changes?

All you ever did on those before, was cause intrigue and spread lies, making up stuff about people being killed because of those same writing competitions. Nothing you ever did was honest and enjoyable, because you know what? I'll repeat myself again, you're a lying prick."

Basically work your way up and into a position where you can try to create the changes you want. As for people talking about you already being dead, well they are probably petty. We have seen people still be able to join families even if they weren't the most desirable member but that is something you will have to figure out on your own. What works for one person may not for another.

Other than that, I wish you the best of luck. Change doesn't happen overnight.

Well if it is even you are Kuku that so many of us have known for far too long for all the wrong reasons I can see some merit in some of the things mentioned. The issue is with a reputation for you lineage that you seem proud of it sadly dilutes anything slightly reasonable you say. Just an observation.

I agree with others that 5 member crews would not enhance this thing of ours in anyway and would likely lead to small groups of friends just hanging out together or being taken out on a repeating basis. Having said that in reality I am not so sure many aren't far from that anyway, we all know how it generally works, lots of dead wood, recruit 1 RIP person asleep for 3 months and rinse and repeat.

I do agree that the current 'leadership' regime is very dire in terms of input, communication, activity. Seems the old boys club just like the bold suit again and same old same old. Obviously my CL not included in that!! We have regimes for those that have been around a while we get used to the ebb and flow, this one though has become stagnant beyond anything I can recall. I think there should be something set in place where there are minimum requirements for uppers aside from the NPC attendance if not on for x days. It doesn't promote attracting new gangsters with empty HQ chats, no uppers to speak to, long delays, no banter and more. As weird as it sounds the times the container crews have been needed have been some of the most interesting times giving those not in the boys club the chance to shine, hold a brighter light that shows where others might be lacking in time attention or dedication for all to see. I do think it needs a shake up.

Writing comps have warning signs with them sadly. Either bankrupcy or death are common side effects. Newspapers I would love to see back in a non biased way - we have had some superb journalist in years gone by and they were admired for their skills dedication time etc. I also agree that the streets are missing good healthy debates. Lots of people like to tell a story (RP) others might want to speak in different ways, there was a time where much debate was heard on the streets without mud slinging or calling out rank so your point is irrelevant and the old rank up and change it then if you don't like it. 

If you are Kuku et al to be blunt I don't like you = I think you are an annoying distraction and clearly have too much time on your hands and for too many years. You can't seem to understand the basic if I will just keep doing the same thing over and over in the hope for a different outcome - it is the definition of insanity as it goes. I think you have raised some decent points though so credit for that, sadly reputation dilutes the desire for people to want to engage with it which is a bit ironic as I just have. In short some good relevant points raised and please grow up and allow the 90% of the rest of us a break after all these years.
