Well Cassidy that comes down to whether or not you really trust this person implicitly. Vouching for them is putting your life on the line, so if you don't feel comfortable doing this for someone then don't bother. It's that simple really. I understand your point, right enough. But in all fairness that is the major reason our streets have saw less people go rogue in recent times as they are risking putting the lives of their friends at risk by doing so. Unfortunately, some people will manage to slip through the net and get a reference from people they don't care about, in which case they don't mind risking that persons life but sadly thats the error of the person who agreed to be the reference. Main thing here, only be one to someone you can trust. If you wouldn't put your life on the line for this person, then don't??? Spartan.. Please, explain what this "game" is? Do CP rule some back alley gambling ring or something? What is your agenda here. You clearly don't like the system. You say you've saw rule breaking first hand? I find that unlikely as you havn't even been brought into a family yet, your simply a civilian. |

Yes you should be Cassidy as you are stupid enough to vouch for someone you don't 100% know. As for Spartan - you are laughable. Back up your BS with examples of stfu. Is it easier for CP to get references? Yes, because we are a seriously tight knit group, probably the tightest this game has ever seen in terms of loyalty. That makes it easy for me to ref anyone within the group. However, I would willingly reference a number of people who I have got to know over the past few months such as Rhuarc, Dock, Templar etc. I'd be willing to take a risk for those guys. |

Does it work hell yeah. Would I change it, probably not. I guess the real key to success is if CP were ever to lose power would it remain in place? I think it would because it has shown that it is a good tool to reduce the number of rogues. |

| Regarding the subject of references. I don't really care to get into much debate about my own thoughts because it's in place and that's that. But I do believe that if people are willing to put the effort in to earn respect, then they will not struggle with the system. As has been said, it's also the case that the CLs are still in full control of who gets Made and who does not. | |

Well from my own eyes for some people it's hard to gets ref's.. my great granddad father, May he rest in peace.. Once he got mademan it took him days and days of hard work to get the 3 ref's 2 of them come in easy they where both wiseguys but the mademan was not. Trying to earning the trust of someones life is a hard thing. But putting there life in your hands is another. Yeah people like my past is not the best for a ref but things can change. |
