I'd like to echo what Animal and Dimitri said. When one issues protection orders, it's mainly meant for people outside the war. Obviously the people that are at war with you will wipe their butts with their protection orders, but it's nice for neutral cities to know which unsponsored are to be protected.

Another thing Animal said should also be held true. The GFC set a rule to protect tagged members up until 7 days after the leader's death.

On the other hand, who is left from the GFC, really? I humbly request that somebody, in the name of the GFC, makes an appearance in the streets every once in a while when these sort of debates occur. If there is no such thing as a GFC any more, well, we could also benefit from that information. If there still is a GFC, then one of their members showing up here and laying down the law would save a lot of bickering among our lowly selves.

There doesn't HAVE to be anything, Chris. The GFC was formed by a group of individuals who shared many of the same goals. Now that all but one are rotting in the gorund, and until our current leaders get together, I'd say the GFC is a skeleton of what it once was...if it ever was anything as progressive as we were once led to believe. 

I never said there has to be anything doogle i stated what i think will happen now with the recent auths and to be honest i think there will be a meeting at some stage to decide things after recent events.

Im too lazy to search the details of previous speechs, but I believe there was a line about Las Vegas being able to represent themselfs upon the GFC if all the crews in Vegas could agree upon said person. I have not spoken to anyone, nor has anyone spoken to be about such a person, I'm just tossing my two cents out there. If I'm misinformed with my statement, i apologize for my ignorance.

Like some have stated before... I guess the original GFC can be considered to be dead. But it could also be a good idea if the current leaders picked up on it and started a new GFC with the current city heads.

I concur with Abels thoughts. The concept behind the Godfather Council was a good one. It would benifit this world greatly, so we can only hope to see some active life shown by it.

The original GFC is gone Able completely after the death of JesseJames the last remaining original member of it, I do think you could be correct in that Ragnarok and i am just as lazy as you so its all good with luck Animal might come out and clarify it for us so we dont have to hunt through the archives for it.

Chris the last remaining member of the GFC is your own Godfather, Stamina. He was on the Council the day it was created and is the last original member. Of whether there are now other newer members or not I have no idea.

Vegas being what it is, there is no City Head, so we are in the dark as much as the rest of the community with regard to these matters. I would however like to state that although many of us would like to have answers to these questions, there is no requirement from anyone in power to bring themselves out here to answer to us, but of course we already all know that, i'm simply stating a fact there.

To go back to Chris's earlier comment, Clarity is of course the Acting Head of New York as we know, I presume Sinfest accepted that some role for Philly when he set up there. I hope i'm not too presumptious in my thoughts, but I was under the impression the Living Legend that is PizzaTheHut would now be running Chicago.

I have to say the Godfather councils rule on protection orders wasn't to make them no longer necessary but to limit them to lasting only 7 days & not being a permanent protection order without end. In fact I have a tape here as I always recorded everything that left the great Grin's lips.

It is this guidance which if we are still living by makes the issue of a protection order very important.

If a member or associate of a fallen family is 'tagged', meaning they display their Don's name, family name or slogan anywhere upon their person, e.g. 'Loyal to the Cheese Syndicate' or 'Loyal to Godfather JesseJames' or 'The Church of PizzaTheHut...a family of The Cheese Syndicate', then they are to be afforded the full protection of the Godfather Council and given every respect by the gunmen of our cities. This means if someone is displaying their family name or their leader's name within plain sight, they are not to be touched. It is down to individual family heads to determine that their members embrace this form of protection.

If a member or associate of a fallen family is 'untagged', meaning they are not displaying their Don's name, family name or slogan anywhere upon their person, then they are not subject to any protection under a protection order and are considered to be fair game for the gunmen of our cities. The basic principle being applied is that an associate or member of any family should announce their affiliation to that family. Anyone who does not do so shall no longer be protected from harm if they couldn't even be bothered to complete this simple task.

If an associate (Wise Guy and below) of a fallen family is tagged but inactive, clearly displaying "inactive" status, then they are considered to be fair game for the gunmen of our cities. This only applies to associates, those people who have not yet made their bones and become fully fledged members of families. It is down to individual family heads to determine that their members understand these differences, as any mistakes will be punished by the Godfather Council.

If a member (Made man and above) of a fallen family is tagged but inactive, clearly displaying "inactive status", they are to be afforded the full protection of the Godfather Council and given every respect by the gunmen of our cities. They have earned the right to the full protection of the protection order, as a result of their status within the family. It is down to individual family heads to determine that their members understand these differences, as any mistakes will be punished by the Godfather Council.

Now that is a hell of a lot of guidance so to summarise.

If you have your family name, slogan, crew leaders name tattooed on your anatomy you are afforded the full protection of the GFC.

If you chose to not have a tag "YOU ARE CONSIDERED FAIR GAME"

If you are inactive and not a button man you are fair game

If you are a button man you are protected for the period.

The period is 7 days from the moment an order is issued.



The most interesting thing though is.


If any of those people EveValon said was under protection didn't have a reference to their family, godfather etc in their name. Then following the words of the ruling mentioned above irrelevant as to whether Eve said they were protected or not they were to be considered to be fair game!!!!!

We still live by rules now which we consider mandatory when in previous times they were fairly controversial.
