LV Protection List Started by: DeadlySin on Feb 03, '12 02:13

After the takedown of Jammin in Las Vegas we would like to ask for your co-operation in that all those below Made who are tagged with 'The Las Vegas Borgata' or variations thereof are protected.

Thank you.

Report Post Tip

Before anyone jumps on the "This isn't needed blah blah bullshit" etc etc

The GFC rulings are there for a reason. When people say something such as this everyone jumps on board and starts to flog the dead horse with all the "This isn't needed" crap.

Well... Judging by the obits, this is obviously needed as some people are either to stupid or to forgetful enough to realise that these people are protected via the GFC rulings in the first place.

It was evident after this that a little reminder was needed in the streets.

Rest In Peace _Jammin_ and family.

Report Post Tip

All of New Orleans has been informed. RIP Jammin and those that have died, and good luck to the rest of L.V.

Report Post Tip

Our members have been notified.

Report Post Tip

To be honest, those that think it's not necessary can just walk by. If we only did what was "necessary" we'd live very boring lives.

RIP to all the deceased.

Report Post Tip

What I am curious of is what the GFC actually considers the best punishment for people found to be breaking these rules and shooting tagged members?

Because so far from what I have personally seen, These rule breakers haven't had any form of actual visible punishment.

Report Post Tip

Jessie the punishment for breaking these said rules is a believe a pair of concrete boots, And compensation. I also agree with Poisonousjelly that a list posted in the street is a must as we know not all leaders and hands are here at the same time as crew members, so a list is a sure way for crew members to see and know whats going on.

Report Post Tip

LCR has been informed.

RIP to all.

Report Post Tip

No offence to Jessie or Poisonous Jelly, but the members were not protected by anything at all until I announced it.

DeadlySin pulls a piece of paper from his pocket and holds it up for all to see.

Protection Orders will last for 7 calendar days. 'Untagged' members are fair game. 'Tagged' members are to be given 7 calendar days to find a new family. Inactive associates are fair game. Inactive Made Men and above are to be given 7 calendar days to find a new family.

The Godfather Council has overhauled the protection order system with immediate effect.

When a leader is slain, be that in a war scenario, gun malfunction or internal politics and a protection list is issued, the above rules will be applied. These are explained in detail below.

A protection order will last for 7 calendar days from the time it is announced. This means that if a protection order is announced on the 14/11 at 11:40, it will be in force until 21/11 at 11:40. At 11:41 on 21/11, the protection order will have ceased to be in effect and any remaining unsponsored member or associate will be considered fair game for the gunmen of the cities at this time.

So yes, this protection list is entirely needed. Without it, there would've been no protection at all.

Report Post Tip

Apologies for the delay, but CH has been notified and knows to abide by the GFC rules previously stated.

Witness statements have been requested for a few that have fallen already and I hope with city wide cooperation and enforcement the guilty parties will be found and brought to justice appropriately.

Report Post Tip

Thank you DeadlySin for pointing that out.

I actually find that fair enough.

I should hope that when takedowns are applied properly a list should arrive promptly should a war go correctly for the attacker, I am sure if protection lists were done correctly and planned before an attack there would be less of the losing sides low rankers that would feel hard done by. It could potentially help avoid any of that pesky mouth shouting in the streets abit, Altho granted it has calmed down abit recently.

I personally feel Protection orders are most defiantly a must if we can avoid the deaths of the younger generations. We need to ensure the population grows, not make peoples bloodlines give up and stay in Sicily.

Report Post Tip

Lists are irrelevant the gfc ruling gives strict guidelines to follow.

All someone needs to do is come to the streets and request the the protection of the unsponsored members of x family.

From this point the guidance is self explanatory. Following the rules anyone tagged as a member of that family is under the protection of godfather stamina and the other city heads.

Report Post Tip

Just for arguments sake, is LV included in the GFC rulings? Ruling such as protection orders etc.? As LV aren't really apart of the GFC, due to their being no Godfather or Acting Godfather. It's still a free-for-all, is it not?

There is no city head, so in theory, myself, or anybody for that matter, could stroll into Vegas and shoot an unsponsored mafioso without punishment?

This is more just to clarify than me trying to cause a problem.

Report Post Tip

You couldn't be any further from the truth Pratster.

Las Vegas falls under the command of the GFC themselves, the only difference between Vegas and other cities is that Vegas leaders don't rule their own city, they don't have their own City Head, as that position is filled by the GFC itself until such time as someone within Vegas reaches the rank of Godfather to take over the city.

Happy to clear that up for you, though.

Report Post Tip

So who exactly rules Vegas then?

Are you saying a member of the GFC could decide to wipe out Vegas, with just the reasoning of 'This is my city really, and nobody elses'?

I wasn't aware that Las Vegas resided within the GFC, as, again, there is no Godfather, Acting Godfather or City Head.

Sorry, I thought I clarified that when I spoke last time? Vegas is under the ruling of the GFC, which at this point consists of 1 GF and the remaining City Heads of Chicago, Philly and New York respectively.

Hence why they continue to alter the rules of Vegas, as its up to them how Vegas is run.

Until such time as a member of Vegas assumes the position of Godfather, Vegas will continue under the GFC unless they state otherwise.

Although, with regard to the part about someone just strolling in and shooting the place up, I would like to think this thing of ours is above such random events and that a reason would be required for such a drastic circumstance.

Report Post Tip

On the original announcement of the Las Vegas contest it was stated that:

"7) The city may appoint a representative to act on their behalf on the Godfather Council, provided they are recognised as the leader of the city by all other families within the city."

So the option to have a seat on the council is there to Las Vegas provided the leaders there are all agreed on a city head.

With regards to "strolling into Vegas and shooting an unsponsored mafioso without punishment" would that not be considered outside interference from another city, which is forbidden?

"4) There will be no outside influence from any individual from any other city - you're on your own!"

Report Post Tip

Fozzy, I was merely clarifying things for my own knowledge, I would rather know exactly what's happening rather than be the slightest bit hazy on the tiniest detail.

Marston, if it's an unsponsored member, would it be deemed as outside interference? Obviously coming in and just shooting a fellow sponsored member, regardless of whether they are a resident of Vegas or not, is against the rules.

I'm not the only person to be thinking this way, I haven already spoken to somebody else about it and they thought along the same lines as me.

Again, this is just for personal clarity, I am not trying to undermind anyone or put thoughts into anyones head.

Report Post Tip

Also, Fozzy, if we are above such acts of randomness, there would never be any sort of rogue attack. Also, would you not say pretty much anybody being able to go to Vegas and set their own crew up being pretty random in itself?

Also, Marston, if the option is there and Vegas are not using it, that's their own problem. They could set somebody as City Head, but haven't. Therefore not being represented on the GFC, and therefore takng me back to my original point.
