My point was that perhaps next time you find something you think is... out of place... it would be a better course of action to pray to the gods with your concerns, and reply to the discussion at hand with relevant comments. Just a thought.

It's a double-edge sword really. Often times there is far too much attention paid to these idle threats in the streets in terms of responses. Often times these responses end up being redundant, and end up turning something stupid into something stupid and drawn out. While it may be wise to make a mental note as to the threat itself and the source from which it comes, there is something to be said about not feeding the trolls. Best to let them fizzle out and not encourage them by giving these threats attention they don't deserve.

And to piggyback off of Betsy Poke's point, Althalus, if you'd like to be taken seriously here in the streets please provide us with a detailed description of what you are wearing next time.

I fail to see how this should be moved to OOC. Althalus came out here totally in character and stayed that way through the entire speech. Are you telling me that because he didn't add any little italics representing movement or thoughts of some sort that this is not a legitemate street speech? People come out here every day to comment and discuss current things going on in our game, how is this any different? The only reason this should be moved to the OOC forum is because of your comment.

Now I do not know all of the details about the Batman and Co takedown, although I do know that the redruM speech was not the whole reason behind the demise of Batman, I do know that it is the spark that ignited the fuse.

For every hundred nobodies that come screaming to the streets about what they know, one will be telling the truth and 99 should be wearing diapers on their face because the shit is just pouring from their mouth.

I don't think Sprozz could have said that any better. Most of the time these street ramblings of lowly thugs and gangsters are shit, in this case, due to other incidents prior to this, the Chicago hierarchy saw fit to remove the potential threat.

However, as you've said, there are other places to discuss the Batman incident, I was only quoting Sprozz as an example of idle shit stirring vs. a serious warning.

If I were in the shoes of a city head that was on the recieving end of threats, and I had reasons prior to believe that these threats were true, I would react in any way a Godfather or city head that cared about his or her city would; remove the threat.
