Spacey maybe you can pay for the room too for you and BananaPudding.

BananaPudding thank you for coming forth. We would like to hear about your hardship(s) Spacey is trying to muddy the waters and ease his conscience because I know he knows it reeks like fish up in here.

I have to laugh that even in any case where people need to find out who you are or claim they can find you or even if there is an admin leaking stuff how fucking sad is it that you have to do it on this games says more about them. If you are feared enough to get purged legitimately then you are playing the game right!

This is from another user trying to enjoy the game, however, they know if they were to post this themselves they would be removed again.

I've compiled a list of some recent purges:

  • Technical – Purged at 35 days for being active in the Lounge/RATs and due to past grudges. Helped Pro for PH in numerous rogue defenses.
  • HandsomeRob – Purged at 20 days, partially for being active in the Lounge/RATs and partially because of past grudges. Was also very active in LA, rising to GFC RH and guiding the city through rogues as there was no true leadership to do so. Additionally, he was the reason Amira retired, as she refused to purge him when pressured to do so.
  • Taupe – Purged at 53 days for main activity. Spent their entire lifetime being questioned about their identity due to past association with Marston.
  • PicklePacker – Purged at 44 days for unknown reasons. Not active in the main. Spent their entire lifetime being questioned about their identity because of past association with Marston.
  • Lan_Wangji – Purged at 28 days for unknown reasons.
  • BobbyBoucher – Purged at 45 days, likely for main activity, though the exact reason is unknown.
  • Tolster – Purged at 33 days for main activity.
  • Energy – Purged at 23 days for main activity.
  • JoePistone – WS caught at 75 days for refusing to verify their identity.

And let’s not forget that the entirety of Chicago was recently killed explicitly for refusing to purge or reveal identities, along with several other cities, such as Petah's LV, which also tried to resist this playstyle.

A recurring theme here is Lounge activity. If you are seen chatting and participating in RATs, you are automatically under scrutiny. The digging will begin, and if they can't verify your identity through WhatsApp or Discord, you will not be saved.

It is well past time that bloodlines remain private, and questioning them should once again be punishable by death, as in https://mafiareturns.com/comm/thread/951655#272446084.

It is blatantly obvious that players who don’t choose to remain incognito are being killed based on the actions of their previous characters, rather than the actions of their current character. It is also clear that anyone who is incognito will be scrutinized, interrogated, and ultimately either verified or killed based on their bloodline.

This list reflects just the past month or two. However, purging has been ongoing for well over a year now. Since funerals only stay visible for 30 days, it is challenging to investigate many deaths thoroughly. People would need to come forward and share their stories, which, as someone has already pointed out, is likely to get them another "dirt nap."

If you would like to share your story, you may do so using this anonymous form, and I will post it here to avoid endangering your current character:

I don't have skin in the game but I have been playing this game for well over 2 years now and when people died then they talked about being purged and when people die now they talk about being purged. So let's not say this started in the last 1 year.

Howdy! Yep, it's me again, Margaret! (Not any of the Margarets here though.)

We've had a few more victims of purg... "Rapid Unscheduled Deaths" under the current leadership known as "The Regime" come forward.  Like my last post, the stories I’m sharing come from people who don’t feel safe speaking out publicly. They’re still trying to play and enjoy the game.

  • BigTonka:
    • No reason given
    • Expected reason being when asked who I was I only said returning player. When asked to fill out a SR on google doc I said no when I saw every crew from lv/la/dt share. Offered to tell my crewleader at any time the information was needed

  • TheoVov:
    • Reason given: 1041
    • Expected reason: When asked my bloodline, I told them im someone who is always killed, but wanted another chance without disclosing who I am. Purged then offered 50 credits for compensation from JimmyLigambi who canceled the code.

  • DiamondMouth
    • Reason given: city removal
    • Expected reason: I was open and honest with my bloodline, they made me a rhm, entire city was killed, completely harmless city. Only possible reason is my age and them refusing to kill me

  • Aatrox
    • Reason given: speaking my mind to spike
    • Expected reason: bloodline public. Porkchopper

  • Leidenfrost
    • Reason given: No reason given. Ketamine was too much of a coward to tell the truth.
    • Expected reason: I found out through a third party that they claim they tracked my online times and figured out who I was. Apparently only someone named bjorn plays from North America, so I had to be him.

DrPepper, no one is claiming that Rapid Unscheduled Deaths (RUDs) began only in the past year. It is well-known that RUDs have occurred since the beginning of MR time. However, what people are pointing out is that the current frequency of RUDs has not been seen since the days of Disorder's regime a decade ago. The Administration stepped in back then for the betterment of the community as the game was bleeding users as a result.

Squishy, is this your response in saying that you have viewed all data over the course of lets say two years and no one has been purged? Not making any sort of assumption, but i find it hard to believe that your data can tell the difference of a purge kill and or a legitimate kill. If so, i definitely need to invest in what ever system you're using for my own personal fun.

@saubern

Clearly that was not my response, and you know this, because my response is right above your typing.  Please refrain from stuffing your own opinions into my mouth.  My response, and well as this entire thing, was spawned over the inaccurate claims that everyone gets killed at 30 or 60 days, which is far from factual.

but i find it hard to believe that your data can tell the difference of a purge kill and or a legitimate kill.

Heyyyyy, you are starting to understand the situation now.  I can't tell you why someone was killed, which is why this argument stemmed over the statement that everyone is killed at 30 days or 60 days, which, as you, me, and everyone who has bothered to do any checking would see that is not factual at all.

While an absolute scary portion of the population will happily lap up any narrative pushed that seems to point fingers at the baddies and absolve all sins from the goodies, its not always rooted in facts, rational thinking, accurate history, or easily accessible information.  Someone getting killed at 13 days for lying to their CL isn't what I am disputing here.  Someone getting killed because they mouthed off to someone who held more power than them is not what I am disputing here.  Someone getting killed because previous bad shit came into the light is not what I am disputing here.  I don't know anyone's story, and honestly most of the time the people who are dead don't even know the other half of their own story, as they can only assume why they died, because getting a straight forward honest answer isn't readily given or even asked for.  What I do know is the ages that people die, and unlike how it was claimed, the overwhelming majority of people do not die at 30 or 60 days.

So im trying to follow along and pull what truths I can from all sides of this as I dont really have a side of my own, and Im curious about something that seems relevant to me, but maybe Im misinterpreting. Not trying to pick a fight Squishy just genuinely curious.

When you say…

What I do know is the ages that people die, and unlike how it was claimed, the overwhelming majority of people do not die at 30 or 60 days.

…are you talking about the majority of everyone in the game? Or the majority of people that die.

Reason I ask, and I obviously dont have access to the same stats as you, but I know that if I go to the Obits, exclude all tricky boxes (NPCs, IAs, DDs, and Retirees) only 12 of the last 200 actual playing accounts that have died by straight up murder are older than 60 days. That does seem significant to me.

Am I missing the point? :s

30 and 60 days are the tiers that have been defined as when the people get killed if they don't meet certain Identity/WhateverTest criteria. The data doesn't show that the majority of users die on day 29, 30, or 31.... or 59, 60 or 61.  This is based on all player deaths in my report, that can be broken down yearly, monthly, weekly, rolling time periods, in any order, going back as far as 42,000 actual player deaths by wack.  We can clearly see the people who live past 30, and past 60, but we do not know their future death age, so an incredibly large chunk of data of people not dying on 30 or 60 isn't presented in the obits, skewing perception.  So we can only look at those who have died recently and historically in any period of time.

So since the data doesn't support that reasoning that people die at the 30 tier and if not at 60 tier, we can only move forward on any real discussion if we stop blaming the wrong things.  It doesn't matter if its hyperbole, creative story telling, a drunken rant, a childish tantrum - none of it is helpful and doesn't advance anything, other than a +1 point to disingenuously fool others for your cause.

If we want legitimate conversation about change, that can't happen until all of us:

Have done our due diligence

Stop using hyperbole or knowingly make incorrect claims to score 'style points' against those easily swayed

And most importantly have an open mind - realize that most opinions we all have are based on things learned out of context, out of chronological order, with limited info, or from impartial sources and require reevaluating and self correcting as you learn and understand things.  The stronger an opinion we have, the more care we should put into educating ourself on things and presenting it fairly without undo negativity.

This is exactly why this thread is here. This is a real discussion. And it is being done respectfully. There is a problem with this regime which I refer to as "the squad" bleeding people and activity.

Amazing how none of this data has been needed for previous DD's of past regimes that had been too far in power for too long.

Shaboopi "none of this data has been needed for previous DD's of past regimes"

I don't pretend to fully understand the motivation of somebody stating that everyone dies at 30, or worst case 60 days. The hyperbole has been strong lately, and some of the more ignorant buy into it as being factual. So I thought it was important to push back and make sure people use facts with their propaganda, so that those less able or willing to do any fact checking do not keep falling victim to stupid scared tactics such as intentional misleading people.

If you want to bring down a regime, and do it with lies, that's fine, but don't use my name with incorrect information, don't invoke bullshit stats or lie about the game or it's staff to become part of propaganda in a war against others.

Like this very loaded question you're asking, I can look at it multiple ways, so maybe I am answering it incorrectly and the correct thing is to ask you about it. So, are you asking why does a player have to ask in public for data to prove that everyone is dying at 30 or 60 days? Because I asked them to provide the data to their claims which don't match up to reality. On the other side of the coin, can you list me the previous times where claims were made that everybody dies at 30 days or at worst case the 60 day tier that I should have stepped in and asked them to publish their data supporting this?

When a regime cheats/breaks rules, they get removed. If this current one ever does, they will get removed. This applies to the next one and the next one. This will always be the case. Unfortunately, lying and saying that the current regime kills everyone at 30 days, or worst case, the 60-day tier, is not factual, or even against the rules. So why are you comparing them to regimes in the past that have cheated or broke the rules and been removed?

I'm in one of those situations where no matter what I do, there's going to be 10 very angry people yelling at the sky. If I do everything right and don't get involved in player disputes that are within the rules, then I get yelled at. If I do everything right and do get involved in player disputes that break the rules, and I step in, then now I have a different set of people who then yell at me. I'm not stepping into player disputes because you want a regime gone, that's for players to do. I will gladly remove people for breaking the rules/cheating. I will not remove people because others are unwilling to remove them themselves.
Report Post Tip

It's just funny when you have acted very different in every other case until now.  When a regime is setting up/shooting auths within a month.  When there are constant rebuilds.  When lounge is being used to attack others, when people constantly have to hide and when the majority of players are less than 30 days.  All of these things are things in the past you would have DD'd 15+ people for.  Now, it's just 'it is what it is'.

Report Post Tips: 3 / Total: $60,000 Tip

The last regime didn't cheat or break rules though. Somebody not playing emailed unjustified abuse and it was used to remove the rest of his former friends.

Ignoring the 30/60 day debate since I am not privy to such stuff, has activity and playerbase declined in the last couple of years? That's the stat I'd be worried about if it has declined

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $20,000 Tip

I will not remove people because others are unwilling to remove them themselves.

Well said Squishy and that is how you take them down the problem is like the real mafia people are selfish and wont sacrifice anything if they can benefit by kissing ass.

If another city's GF asks for someone to be killed for past things or a purge and they are made or even a hand the correct response is war but too many want loyalty and then kill people for an easy life and then wonder why they get killed for not being in the inner circle later on.
