The streets of Chicago run red with blood.  BillCorsica gets on his hands and knees and laps the blood up greedily with his tongue, much like a cat presented with a warm bowl of milk.  He rises.  He speaks

Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to preface my speech by saying that I am speaking on my own behalf, not on my leader brent's or the good and fair Arianna's.  This speech was sanctioned by neither brent nor Arianna, nor was my plan to deliver it discussed with either party. So if you'd care to ridicule anything said here on this corner, I'd ask that all jabs be directed towards me, not them.

I am a relative newcomer to this clan of vampires, and what I witnessed today was jarring indeed, as was it for many members of my crew who were not in the know of some of the more sinister elements within the HQ we call our home.  Many of us watched in confusion as our own members were slain by our leaders, wondering if we were to be next.  This seemed to be a great source of amusement for the greater underworld, as the coffeshops were abuzz with lame jokes, even lamer than usual.  I did my best to put a positive face on things in the streets.  This was an error on my part, as I did not know the finer details at the time.  Allow me to explain wit the limited information I have. I'm sure brent and Arianna will have their own more well-informed explanations so I want to reiterate, I am not speaking for either of them.

Being a leader comes with its fair share of headaches as it is.  These headaches are compounded when groups of bad-faith actors come in for the sole purpose of stirring trouble.  There was talk of internal purging which many believed to be the case (embarrassingly, myself included).  But this was no purging, rather a cleansing.

A factions known as "The Posse" led by a descendant of the disgraced @Transistor bloodline managed to infiltrate the city, using his subordinates and underlings SixPoundSoulCals and @BobBurgerhouse, who at the time held positions of authority in the city as an entry point.  At first it would have been impossible to tell which of these men were of the Transistor lineage, as the similarities between the aforementioned individuals was uncanny, but they were later discovered and slowly but surely, his allies such as MikeRotch, SioTEnjoyer, and his closest advisor DiceMan were all eliminated amoung many others.

You see, the Chicago mafia has it''s grip on many unions, one of which being the trash union.  And today, Chicago took out the trash.  While the coffeeshop hecklers tossed jokes at our expense, brent and Arianna remained silent and did what leaders were supposed to do... put their houses in order and dealt with the rogue Hunter.  (Yes, there was a rogue today, who as bad timing would have it, and after countless hours of training, plotting and decieving, went totally ignored while all attention was directed at the Windy City.  Some might even say of all today's victims, Hunter was the most unfortunate).

I did my best to thwart the coffeeshop hecklers with the limited knowledge I had.  Fortunately, the hecklers consisted of the likes of Zippy, who isn't even capable of matching wits with Alfie, the most easily ridiculed of the lot, and a man named "Mikus" who I quickly won over with my charm and my witty SpikeS lamppons.  Turning detractors into fans, that's called political saavy folks.  So I don't mean to stand up here like I had to do a lot of heavy lifting, but today's events did inspire me to step up and help in rebuilding this great city.  I intend to speak with brent (and his hands if he chooses) about my plans privately, but heres a brief outline

BUSINESS DISTRICT GOODWILL FUN EVENTS

A festive event in the Chicago Business District that all cities are welcome to attend.  An unconventional yet progressive wedding was announced in the Chicago Business district some time ago between TylerDurden and RichardPaulson.  This is going to be big.  Big event, big prizes, and held at a large venue appropriate for an event this size, the storied Chicago Stadium.  More details to come but all are encpuraged to attend.

Its a new dawn for Chicago.  And while I may not be of a position of authority, I will do my part to see this city reach great heights.
