I would just like to say how i feel about the subject in hand, Skorpeon proved that he has what it takes to run chicago, He beat all the odds and survived. RIP Chris i understand the reasons why you choose the path you did but i can't say i agreed with it but i respect your decisions as a leader. I think there is an important distinction to be made here.

Firstly, take nothing away from Skorpeon here. For a man who was attacked without warning, to then conduct his defence, war and eventual victory without crying about the injustice, asking for help or even recognition, deserves massive respect. Skorpeon you have emerged from this with an enormous amount of dignity and respect from the greater part of the community.

Now... As triumphant and respectable an achievement as it was to survive that war in the way that he did, a person's capacity for war is not the defining factor in qualifying them to run a city. Running a city has, in fact, very little to do with war strategy. Indeed some of the greatest city heads our world has seen employed others to take that responsibility while they conducted more political and social affairs.

I'm not saying Skorpeon doesn't poses the characteristics required to run a city. Indeed I am looking forward to what you do with the position you now hold. I am just making a general point in response to comments made by Dagenham_Cristian and others echoing similar sentiments.

     I agree with you Ramses, but not fully. Chris acted to fast with what little info he had. He should have just waited it out and talked to skorpeon about it, not come out gun blazing, they were established there to protect and run chicago back to what it used to be. Chicago has seen a lot of blood over the years. Chris should have known that before starting an inner city war, you should at least collect the proof and present it before the godfathers so that the only blood that be spilled is the accused. But Chris did what he did because he thought that would protect chicago and his family. Skorpeon had the odds agianst him but he proved to be a better leader. Well Mr Balboni... I've always loved your forward and up front approach to our way of life. It's one of the reasons I welcomed you to the family. Oh Jessie, you are one of the few people I actually enjoy conducting business with. I believe the thoughts on hired help is different within different people. I myself, like my old friend Dante would never consider the use of paying for someone else to fight my battles. Cory, you are very correct to say that it is not everyones business of what has transpired and hell, in Skorp's position I'd have probably only leaked the important bits of information and the tid bits of information that might be detrimental to the reasons for the whole war would be locked away and the key thrown in the river. It's the way of the world and I can't believe I am about to say something that has been flogged more times than the deadest of horses but 'History is written by the victors'. One thing I don't agree with though is "All the learning comes from your Crew Leader, not from everyone else." As human beings we learn from everything that is around us. When I was just a little baby for example I learned to walk by watching other people and learned to talk via hearing the things around me. My point is, we all learn from what happens around us. For that to ring true in this situation it should have taught a few people at least that the underdog can come out on top. The actions of other leaders and their reasons for war can be used in another leaders future to be sure not to make the same mistake.

Heh, this was just laugh worthy. Gave me quite a chuckle even. It's been a while since i've seen such contradiction. Anyway... if everything that you have said is true Donnie then I for one am happy that Chris_Flannery lost this battle. A leader is there to lead, not follow. No matter what the situation or whether due to war his Hitsquad Leader took over... he should still always hold authority and lead. If the reason for him attempting the take down was "I was the one who told chris to take down skorpeon" then he started the whole thing wrong anyway. I take nothing away from what Chris accomplished on his way to Chicago but people are remembered for their downfalls and not their rise to power.

I think, my friend, the fact that it was used so blatantly is the reason as to why it is being called underhanded and has been brought to the forefront of public discussion. It is I agree such a low thing to do and especially so blatantly and disrespectfully. However, we would pretty much all be liars if we said we had not used this tactic at one point or another. The difference is though that some of us when requesting for family members to come and join us who have a better vision than most is usually not to just toss them away after their job is done.
