Deadly rubbed the sleep from his eyes and took another drag from his cigarette. It had been a long night...

The day had started with a strong coffee and a phone call to Poisonous Jelly. Something had been bothering them both, and it needed discussing. They decided that a city meeting was necessary, and called Swagsauce, and SpookzBoyToy to meet them both. Together, they had discussed their concerns with the city and one particular man, Romeo. PJ and DeadlySin had both agreed that in their vision for the future of Las Vegas, there was no place for Romeo. Although all present agreed that they respected the man; his communication, his lack of involvement and lack of interest were big concerns moving forward. Romeo's Left Hand had also been witness to a plot to kill Spookz whilst she was still alive, yet said nothing to warn anyone of this - when mentioned to Romeo he simply ignored this. Romeo's Left-Hand had also outright called one of DeadlySin's Consiglieres a spy in the coffee shops, something which Deadly was disgusted by. Again, Romeo did nothing.

At the end of the meeting, it was decided upon unanimously.

"Romeo must die."

The leaders looked solemn as they nodded in agreement. They downed the rest of their drinks and headed out.



...and now they were here. They'd spent a while fighting through Romeo's hired security. Deadly nodded to the others, before throwing down his cigarette and stamping it out. It was time...

I can tell you are bitter for the loss of your family, which is understandable, but the best thing for you to do is to move on with life. Nothing you say or do will bring Romeo back, and you only serve to make yourself look worse by doing this.

Whether someone has justifiable reason to think someone is a spy or not is fine, to call them out in the middle of a coffee shop without discussing their suspicions first with that persons leader is where the problem lies. But I wont stand here and argue over semantics, whats done is done.

What I will say, is that no one leader is to blame. You can try and pin this on DeadlySin and call him a sly backstabber to your hearts content, but the fact remains that all of Las Vegas current leaders discussed whether or not to remove Romeo and the decision was made between all the leaders, not by any one leader. I do believe DeadlySin clearly stated that already, but figured i'd repeat as you evidently didn't hear him.

Romeo was a fine leader and a key person in the building of Las Vegas, lets not forget that.

Romeo was key in building and stabilising Vegas and did way more than I think was appreciated.

In order to portray a semblance of a normal city functionality, the well rehearsed speeches by successive Las Vegas leaders, from Animal; through Betsy, Deadly, PJ and Romeo all betray one thing:

Who do we need to remove and how do we rationalise it in the streets to make us look good.  Every single takedown has been carried out this way across all the cities Vegas spin it better than a coked-up PR guru.

It's a shame that when the music stopped this time, Romeo was the one without a seat.

If all 4 leaders agreed on the same course of action, that action being removing Romeo from his position in Las Vegas, I fail to see how this can be about DeadlySin's political ambitions?? Surely a group decision like this is made because the leaders see it as a beneficial move for their city.

I would like to thank Romeo for the work he put in during his time in Vegas and wish his family all the best.

Bit of a false statement there.

Animal put his neck on the line and agreed to keep DeadlySin alive under the condition that should problems arise, he would take the fall from it (as DeadlySin was a Made member of a former Vegas family, who under normal circumstances would have been shot)

This was hardly a whim, this was a calculated risk in that Animal believed DeadlySin staying alive was going to help make Vegas a better city. Its hard to argue with that assessment, given how well DeadlySin has done since then.

Serendipity would mean it was by accident; when in fact it was a choice to allow DeadlySin to live. So no, serendipity wouldn't fit in this scenario.

I believe serendipity fits well in this scenario.  The decision to spare Deadly may have been a calculated risk at the time however I believe this was more based on the fact he couldn't be found rather than a conscious decison to spare his life.

The arguments over who was right or who was wrong over a takedown matters very little at the end of the day, Though one thing thats certain is we will always agree to disagree Now from what we see and hear is it was a combined effort to takedown Romeo and from what i hear it was not done lightly as he was a very well respected leader in Vegas. Now coming to the streets and calling foul will not achieve a single thing as Vegas is still under GFC restrictions, So Really there dont have to be a reason given to take out another family in Vegas. For Deadlysin to come out and voice his reasoning with the support of the other familys invoved speaks volumes for him as he really didnt need to give a reason.

Alright quick note, they're mad about the loss of their leader or parents but that's no excuse for them coming out and verbally attack people. Now I have to ask, what's your excuse for going after them in such a rude manner? Show the same respect you're expecting them to show. It hurts just as much to lose a friend in Vegas as it does in any other city, believe it or not.
