There is currently $500m up on the hitlist for the life of Bjorn. 

That's got me wondering: How much would it actually take to attract a rogue to wack one of these fat cats?

If it costs somewhere around $400 million to hire and train a full cadre of bodyguards, before adding labor and opportunity cost for the time it takes to train a gun capable of such a dastardly deed, you would think somewhere around 1 billion would be the absolute bare minimum, with more legitimate interest beginning as you push beyond that.

The reward should be an incentive, not a break even point. 

So, The Black Hand, if you're really serious about this thing, it's time to stop being so cheap. 

Are you a vengeful underground organization or a group of miserly penny-pinchers? 

DetroitSimon's dished out more on paydays than you've put up for retributive justice. 

That doesn't seem very revolutionary. 

I am unsure what the great Bjorn has done but nobody deserves to be shown up in public over a measly few hundred mil. This great leader washes the dishes with notes bigger!

10 billion is the bare minimum he deserves, he is the greatest and no amount of money will tell me otherwise

I've seen bigger rewards offered for lost dogs.

Half their budget probably went into coming up with a super cool name.

Freixenet, let's not get ahead of ourselves, 10 billion is an extraordinary sum of money. Any enterprising rogue with a good head on their shoulders is probably jumping at the opportunity once we've moved past the 3-4 billion mark. Hell, for 5 billion, you'd probably get a throw-in Richard-Harrow wack on top of it, gratis. 

Matty, it's hard coming up with names. Look at DetroitSimon, of the Las Vegas DT-LV Simon Gang. How much audience testing do you think went into that one? You've got to spend money to make money. Left to their own devices, they may have landed on something a little messier, like the Adolf Hitlists. 

Flippy, what do you think about all this? Is this something your kin would have strong opinions about? 

Speaking of lost dogs, good to see you out here, TextBasedMafiaRPGMan. Not everyone would take PropertyManager being elevated over them to such a degree that he barely even casts a shadow over their greasy pate on a sunny day with such good grace. Kudos. I honestly didn't think you had it in you and humility was one of your so very many absent good traits. I was wrong. I'm not too proud to admit it. That's what people love about me I bet.

Anyway, if I didn't know better, I'd suspect the Adolf Hitlists/Black Hand boys to hail from New York. They've got all the hallmarks; cowardly, the stink of new money, hoping someone else does their dirty work. It all adds up. They've even managed to make something objectively cool like trying to get someone killed dorky. Is that the twang of a non-shatter ruler I can hear on the breeze? Not the beautiful sound of it being used for its true purpose of slapping against the shins of the unsuspecting either. No, this sounds like...measuring. Pathetic.

My peruse of the hitlist wasn't entirely wasted effort. Sure, there wasn't enough on offer for me to cancel my big plans of having an ice lolly on my terrace watching my minions toiling in the heat, but I did find some silver lining. Look at these two examples of how it should be done:

DetroitSimon, we do not normally agree on anything, but your last points rings true. PropertyManager is a lamelord, worth approximately zero dollars. No one can dispute that.

As for the rest of your input, I would be very careful if I were you. They may turn on you next. What would Las Vegas be left with if we were to lose you? The endless prosperity of a city with Elijah_Yoder at the wheel? A constant flow of cash for paydays? A diet of delicious Amish milk bread and fried chicken? The ability to convince Interlude and Mint_Royale to come back from exile in Chicago? I struggle to imagine the strange and alien new world the Black Hand would catapult us into. 

What do we have here? Two back to back days where I am finally getting the recognition I desrve! 

TextBasedMafiaRPGMan, I have recollections concerning hitlisting to be more of a gossip piece. Who put the hit up? Who do you think is going to go for it? And so on. 

I may or may not have expressed that in my opinion the ability to be anonymous should not be an option. And I will not nore you with why. Besides this hit reeks of Spike. Just as all the back to back heathens gracing our world.

This mockery of the hitlist is absurd! Have we as members of our cultured society lost sight of what these rogues truly want?
It is not fame, nor fortune they seek. I do not think a mere addition of numbers added to the promissory note is enough to get them to act.

Most of our lands notable rogues would struggle to comprehend numbers so large as simple addition is hard for them.

I reckon if someone is seeking to incite violence at the hands of this underground cabal, they must first learn to give them something they can comprehend. I motion that if the anonymous provocateur wishes to see real change the bounty put forth must be paid full in Capri-Suns and coloring books! 

I don't believe in hits personally. It's okay to kill Bjorn though. 

But Flippy reeks!

I think this is all Flippy's fault. She's pulling all the strings and she's trying to be a sneaky Sally. She name dropped me because she's trying to deflect it all from her. What are her plans? Is she going for world domination? Is she teaming up with Dean-Winchester?

She is a mastermind. Everyone knows that. The most strategic, intellectual, and logical brain in the country.  

Alright, everyone shut up for just one second. We're losing our focus here. It doesn't matter who placed the hits. They cheaped out big time and haven't come out of this looking great. They'd be best served not taking responsibility altogether. Clearly it wasn't @SPIKEYYYYYYY, as powerful as Flippy's intuition tends to be. 

What matters is why they've completely failed to make an impact.

I've narrowed it down to two reasons:

1. You've got to actually put up the big bucks.

2. You must make a bigger show of it. 

Where was the street speech spilling the dirty details? Where was the call to action? How are we supposed to know why Bjorn deserves to die? Because of some nobody named MajorAnkleBiter? If people don't care, you need to make them care. 

The Black Hand would do well to take lessons from The Plumbers, an organization who knows how to claim a kill with style and gusto. That's why The Plumbers are the only underground organization anyone really fears or talks about these days. Put a little effort into it. 

It’s true, TextBasedMafiaRPGMan. The Plumbers were so good I haven’t used my toilet in weeks. My fear of clogging my toilet has opted me to take a page out of The Dogfather’s book, and bury my own poop.

They're a formidable group, Michael. That's why they've gained such a strong reputation. Everywhere you look, people live in fear of the reach of The Plumbers. You could say The Plumbers are to underground activities what DetroitSimon is to an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet: relentless terror and destruction. 

SPIKEYYYYYYYY, three days in a row. Pretty soon I am not going to be able to contain myself! You're assesment of me is quite accurate. Here's the thing though. I would not be so cheap and I surely would not utilize the market and the hitlist.
