I would hammer the idea of rank respect into peoples' heads. A while ago... Mozart reminisces about the "Old Country" things were different. They were definitely better in many ways. Instead of families being worried about recruiting at astronomical rates, they were more interested in pushing values like respect, duty, and (of course) Omerta. These days, people are posting their CL's shot records in the streets, talking in their family's headquarters about war issues while the war is still going on, telling each other how to be super killers (a stupid idea as within a few generations their loyalty will probably change and they'll likely be warring against you), bloodline hunting, and saying stupid things to higher ranked people. Imagine a Wise Guy, someone who's not even fully in a family yet, walking up to a Boss and asking if he can pickpocket him. What the hell is he thinking? People need to think about the way they interact with others or this entire 'thing' we have going here will continue to slip. And if you don't know what Omerta is, you better figure it out fast. I'm embarrassed at what I see people talking about in public. |

Oh, and I forgot this point: I'm just voicing my opinion here so take it with a grain of salt. But what's the deal with thug and gangster RHMs and LHMs? Once you're Made, you're part of the family. That means you're allowed to be trusted with family secrets and things that nobody but those Made and above are allowed to know. Right? Right? Wrong. Apparently, just because you were born into someone's bloodline, you get the right to be showered with bodyguards and be in charge of wartime survivors who've fought and won. Just because you have some 'otherworldly' connection to the Boss, you get to tell everyone else who's busted their asses what to do and possibly take their lives if you don't like how they behave. I can understand making someone who's just been Made an RHM (barely) if there are Consigs or Bosses in the family, because the Don's (or Godfather's) word is law. But it's a blatant kick in the teeth to everyone when a thug or gangster becomes a RHM or LHM regardless of who their mother or father was. A lot of us have great and lasting bloodlines and if we're not supposed to bloodline hunt, we darn sure shouldn't bloodline promote either. Please read my last sentence several times. I completely agree with Mozart. I would like to see this game being brought back to an actual mafia structure... to where a gangster wouldn't even THINK about approaching a don. Were all the lowers problems are settled with the capos, and bosses. A world where you have to work your way up. Where you have to EARN respect with each and every new character. (That's what RP is) Somewhere where if you disrespect a higher up, you are killed. A place where becoming a made man is an honor, and a privledge. A place where there are now Gangster,Goomba,Earner,Wise Guy's for RHM/LHM. If your RHM dies, so what? Give the honor to his son? A Gangster? I don't know. Sorry if I offended anyone, this was just my opinion. |
