Pipe down Kucuntski!

*Shakes his fist at the wanker*

Report Post Tip

There remains, here, an excellent opportunity for those who lead us to explain why, and how, they would like to do it.

Report Post Tip

Now that's over with, I shall take the time to reply.

First point. I haven't come out and slandered your name, I have pointed out your flaws, just as you do everyone else. If you can't take it, don't give it.

Secondly, you're going to have to accept the fact that not all people who get bold want to drastically change/mould things to their own preferences. Some may like the way things are set out when they go bold so have no inclination to  change it.

Now... although this is irrelevant as I am only a temporary auth, I will share with you my vision of things I would like to take place... or ideals I would enforce should I become THE person in power.

I envision a world where there are 3 families per city, including my own (including the Godfather), why? So no city can end up being the totally dominant one, there would always be a chance that if war broke out between 2 cities, both would have at least some sort of chance at defending themselves. I would not run the "King Of The Hill" like we have in Chicago now because even though it was my bloodline that first introduced that theme to these fair cities, it just doesn't work in the current climate. There are either far too many deaths, or far too few deaths.

Instead I would have a "breeder" city, where some of the same rules apply... anyone can setup but there is a limit on how many (5-6). However, you may NOT take the city by force. This breeder city would be the only place new auths can be chosen from. So if Mr X wanted to auth someone from his family in his own city, he would first have to help him setup in the breeder city. This way we can see first hand how they are at running their own family before giving them the ok to move to the relative comfort of their Godfather's city. Other rules that would differ from our current "King Of The Hill" are... ANYBODY can interfere. If you setup in this city, you better have some backup from another city head or at least a family head, otherwise you're a sitting duck. This would also stop people from shooting bolds just for the sheer hell of it... you can, of course setup without backup, but lasting out there on your own is going to be tough. Also, only "protected" or below BG status may setup there, this would hopefully make leaders use their cunning and wit to survive the test of time. I don't give a shit if rogues can take them out or not... you can survive a rogue without 101+ BG's. There would be a time limit on how long someone has to be bold in this "breeder" city before they could be authed into a regular city (Maybe a full calendar month maybe, I've not thought this part out in great detail). If the city becomes full and there are no more regular city's to be authed in then they must wait until one does become available (maybe the person backing them would get rid of one of their leaders for them).

Now... onto other things.

The Streets... ah, bless these fair streets. My bloodline has always had a soft spot for them, reading my ancestors diaries I see that one of my blood once said he would never auth anyone without a STRONG street presence. I believe that the streets are an excellent place to show someone's character, wit, guile, cunning and general intelligence. Coupled with the breeder city, street presence (quality, not quantity and i decide what is quality or not) would be top of my list when looking for someone to make bold. I find it almost magical when I see someone who can have a crowd hanging on their every word and value the trait with the utmost respect. There would be no mollycoddling either. NOBODY would be killed for their opinion, whether people liked it or not. The only way people would die for speaking in the streets is if they just downright abused somebody with no reasoning or evidence to backup their shitstorm.

Now... if we're talking about just being a leader in a city, that is a very different kettle of fish so to speak. I wouldn't have the authority to be making such decisions, however I would most definitely be pushing my ideas up to my Godfather. Personally, I'm not one to beat around the bush, if I see something is wrong... or could be made better, I am more than happy to point it out simply because if my Godfather didn't trust my judgement and train of thought, they wouldn't have authed me in the first place. So, therefore they must be willing to at least listen to my opinions on how our city can be improved. I believe you need to create a "buzz" in your city for it to become the most profitable, there would be regular jailpartys that the whole world would be invited to, plenty of bar action and I'd make sure I had a small loans project set up. There is also the subject of stability that brings people to your city regularly, therefore there would have to be other punishments besides just death. I don't want people to die for their every mistake, the Lord knows my blood has made enough mistakes in the past (and died for it) and most of them wished there were other punishments.

To get Made, you would be made to actually work for it. If I see you hitting your crimes as often as you can and doing drug runs to make me money as often as possible, you would get JACK SHIT. Only when you have contributed to either my family or the community as a whole would you be REWARDED such an honour. Of course... only I can decide whether you have contributed enough and there would be no set ground rules about how you must do this, or that to get Made. Although I doubt it sometimes, most people here aren't retarded and know whether they are giving their family enough effort so most would expect what getting Made would entail under me. All Made+ would be given a chance to voice their opinions on anything that effects the whole family, however I'm not necessarily inclined to listen to them... unless they're all saying the opposite to me, then it's time to just admit I'm wrong.

Rules... I shouldn't need to set rules, I don't invite stupid people to become a part of my family. My ancestors had a mildly famous rulebook in the HQ that every new member had to sign.

Rule 1: Don't fuck up. If you think you can get away with it, then try it if you feel obligated to. But if I get another family head coming to me saying you just wacked their new gangster bitch, I'm going to kill you. If I find out you did something wrong, I'm going to kill you.

That is all.

Do I think my blood will ever go for bold again and ever enforce any of these thoughts/ideas? More than likely not, we've had our fill of being the one people point their finger at and prefer to do our work behind the scenes now.

Hope that fulfilled your request, Mr_Kuklinski.

Report Post Tip

It did and I will reply in full at a later date.

Philli chuckles as a small series of interesting events plays out in front of him.

"First off, It's been said, but it does bear repeating. Meph, the name kuklinski may be something of a byword for large piles of BS, but that does not mean he has nothing to offer. And today, He stepped out and spoke eloquently. Step off the bandwagon and read the speech."

Philli turns to mr. kuklinski.

"Mr. kuklinski, you have gotten me thinking, a nice change on the streets of today. So let me applaud you for your words today."

"To follow up on what you said, I'd would also be interested in a dialog between the leaders of the cities and crews, and the rest of us, on what the future may hold. "

Now let me say what i'd like to discuss. I am not currently interested in plans for the cities that are empty. Nt too say i'm not curious, but I have other things on my mind. For example, Why are the streets as empty as they are? Are there plans in place to increase meaningful street activity? Will the buisness districts be touted the places to gather that they once were. most importantly to me, when will the repeated, and apparently random shooting of -48s stop?"

"Tat is what I want to Hear."

Report Post Tip

Mr. Stein. I think you will find the number of -48's dying drop dramatically now that the war is over. A lot of those that died were suspected of being immediate descendants of Manius' family and rather than take the risk of them pro'ing Ire and prolonging the war even more than it already was, they were removed before it could happen. A pre-emptive strike, if you will.

Report Post Tip

PinpGravy - surely the King Heron style actions totally fly in the face of what is accepted in this thing?  Shooting -48s is wrong.  If they manage to obtain a gun, then they make themselves targets - it will be obvious.

To slaughter the young surely is against individual and collective honour?

Report Post Tip

What is wrong about shooting -48s?

Report Post Tip

Never said it wasn't wrong, Kuklinski. I merely explained why it happened and that it wont be happening now. You can't paint me as the bad guy by twisting words, Sir. Myself and our fair city didn't shoot any of those -48's yesterday. You'd have to ask the people that did that question.

Report Post Tip

The cities and individuals within the war effort were responsible for the killings of the -48's. Mr.Kuklinski.

As your bloodline was such a famous leader at the head of such an empiric dynasty can you honestly say that you would not sacrifice the blood of a few -48 gangsters for the prolonged survival of your city and to stop the greater loss of life? My city lost many great mobsters in the war and now we are faced with the challenge of rebuilding New York.

If you don't like the way which the people in power handled the situation, get off your arse and do something about it. Don't stand here calling us out, you have no right.

Report Post Tip

-48's are to be protected for ... guess how long .. 48 hours. If you catch a ws on one where they are firing their gun, then by all means take them out. If you have no proof, they should not be shot. Frankly, I would like to see a -5 on ones gun for shooting a -48. Put a real penalty on it and the randomness during wars will significantly go down.

BTW, these are the streets and we are all welcome to our opinions. We do have the right to speak.

Report Post Tip

Mr Williamson, I would have shot -48's, with reckless abandon.  However, it is generally believed that my great et al grandfather was one of the worst leaders ever seen in this thing of ours.  Your point is...?  Everyone should do as was done in the LVCF?

My bloodline has routinely got off it's "arse" and taken action.  BG killings, random wackings, targeted killings, the formation and leadership of various factions.

Report Post Tip

So you killed Prem a couple of times and now you're Che Guevara? The size of your ego never fails to amuse me!

Guinevere, I never said I agree with the practice of shooting -48's on a daily basis but the lives of my crew members was at stake aswell as lives of other cities and crews. If you're seriously, telling me that you wouldn't shoot a few -48's to save someone who is aiming to protect you and fighting fiercely for their city, then you sir are a mong and i certainly hope i never see you heading a city.

Report Post Tip

When I was heading a city, I would have shot ANYONE that was a threat to it.  And some who weren't.  I once shot a Don's BG by mistake, cost me many, many millions to rectify that.

But I am not the head of a city.  Nor would I particularly want to be.

Let's not make this personal.

It's about drawing a line in the sand, it's about taking a stand.

Report Post Tip

Well Miss Williamson, you are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine. Your city kicked off the war. What you were reaping was a direct result of your actions miss.

Report Post Tip

What did they reap, Guinevere?

Report Post Tip

The wrath of Ire Mr. Kulkinski and those that took up for her.

Report Post Tip

Who the fuck do you think you're referring to as Miss?

helicopters

I'm all man.

Report Post Tip

Who do you think you are referring to as a Sir? (leaving the explicative out as it is uncalled for)

Report Post Tip

You have my sincerest apologies Miss, I will concede that one graciously. My point still stands though!
